Awww this made me smile big time! I miss GP. It's my favorite. So is the 'split screen' idea not going to happen then? :/ Congratulations to the four of you for becoming fiancees. On that note, I think you should have a special fiancee episode. Bring back Rachel and Julie to hang out with us, and play some fun quiz, as fiancees. Would be really cool.

I miss this so much!

I missed you guys! So happy to see a new Gal Pals vid. Congrats to both on your engagements! Emily, I voted and have been pimping out the vote for you and Rachel's wedding and I know a lot of people who have voted for you as well. I completely 110% agree with what you said about getting the male part of the gay community to support their lesbian friends, I feel as if so many magazines, websites, etc., solely focus on the male aspect and those that do focus on women, focus on things like 'Is Lindsay Lohan back on dick?', 'cause, ya know, that's really important and everything. Well, anyway, GREAT to see you guys and hope we can get a new Gal Pals soon!!

And it not being her fault. She is all about her gays, as long as they are men. I guarantee that if this episode had been full of every offensive gay male stereotype she would not have taken it. She would have instead talked about it in her stand up.. Like , guys you won't believe the crap they tried to get me to do on Law and Order SVU, but it was against my gays so Miss Kathy had to say NO!.

Excuse the rant , but I am still pissy about this episode .

I completely agree with everything you two said about women getting left out in the often male-dominated queer community. While I'm sure the intention isn't to leave queer women out or discount the importance of our visibility to the overall visibility and positive portrayal of the LGBT community, it happens all too often. Thank you for voicing this.

this was in my top 3 gal pals ever along with you having your other halves there and the hornito episode.

i love how heartfelt you both were about the issue of wedding vs commitment ceremony and how sincere Emily was about her upcoming nuptials and now being mentioned on queerty (amended now but still WTF). im so glad so many of the commenters mentioned you guys.

i second freakunleahed's fiance gal pals suggestion.

i totes cant coment on the svu ep and desperate housewives convo cos i dont watch those but by your comments and the blog posts by trish and hornito i can safely assume svu ep was gaaaawd awfull. i do think Kathy G is tight with us lesbians though, she mentions lesbians alot in a positive way in her stand up and shes good chums with rosie o donnell.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on American Idol. How do you think Ellen is doing so far? Will the show survive without Simon next year or is AI a sinking ship that even Ellen can't save? Will she get the blame for ruining Idol if it does go under? Do you detect any gayish vibe from any of the contestants, like Siobhan Magnus (please say yes)? Do you think Idol is in some ways de-gaying the contestants i.e. ultra feminizing the women who could be seen during audition and hollywood week in their own clothes sporting edgier more masculine looks? Or are they just trying to fit the girls and boys into the mold of what they believe a female/male idol should look like. Should the stylists on AI be fired and replaced by Emily?
