Sweet!

That was awesome!  I too am thrilled with the Obama victory, and am hopeful that the country can change direction both at home and abroad.  Si, se puede!!!  But really, what was up with that guy pushing the couch?  Loved the happy dance at the end. Even a slippery floor wipe out can't ruin the joy of the moment.  : )

The Wiz

You all represented with the "Brand New Day" from the movie The Wiz!!! Great choice in song to play for your excitement over Barack Obama becoming President of the USA.

I really enjoyed seeing you asked other people about voting, it was interesting to see/hear what they had to say.

Thanks for the episode.

President Barack Obama!!!!

What an amazing day for America!

I am proud to finally have an INTELLIGENT President again!!!  I will listen to every speech and watch every Address with pride!

As far as "what can I do to make Obama's presidency a success?"  Check out the website:  www.change.org for ways to make a difference and also Obama's current website:  www.change.gov which allows you to contact him and his staff directly.

You wouldn't want to see me on election night.  I was biting my nails until it was called for Obama (11:00 p.m. EST) and I started shaking and then I started blubbering.  I don't care, though.  I'm a Democrat through and through and I feel like our country has been held hostage by thieving murderers for 8 years.

And, yes, as a caucasion, Jewish lesbian, I am very excited to have voted for a black man and I am even more excited that he will be our next President!!!

:-)

I am canadian. I waited

I am canadian. I waited until the next day to find out... all I could feel that morning was pure relief.  But watching you guys when you first heard the news and all that wild excitement brought tears to my eyes. Our canadian elections just happened and barely anyone voted so we're stuck with a conservative gov't--AGAIN. President Obama is inspirational and we all need leaders who inspire people like he does because WE HAVE TO VOTE! Anyway thanks for this vlog and I love all the happy dancing!!

Love this post

Tuesday was just amazing! I watched from Election Plaza in Rockafeller Center then took it down to the West Village and ended in the streets of Forte Greene...the energy was electrifying, ive never cried and hugged more people in my life. His winning this election is more a symbol of progress, I laughed at the thought of a black man being elected president - I didnt think it would happen but it did and that's where the emotion comes from. I rejoice for my grandfather who passed away only a few weeks before this election but thankfully was able to barack his vote and I dance for his parents and their parents who fought, and sacrificed and endured racism and prejudices that many of us today wouldnt be able to handle - Barack becoming President is a symbol of progress, sacrifices, struggles and dreams come true.

Back to reality, yeah he has a lot of work in front of him. This economy is shot to hell, the unemployment rate is rising, two wars, global warming, our reputation overseas - It wont be an easy ride. I pray for him but I have confidence that he will be a great leader. Cant do any worse than Bush.

But yall, we have a black president - Whoooo...Im still in shock. lol

A Joyous Video Blog

How joyous you and Olive and your friends look enjoying and savoring the historic moment. It was a nice to dance, shout, cry for joy and peace. It's nice to see elctrifying faces and hearts. His win was celebrated all over the world and felt from sea to shining sea. I just now realized how much impact Obama has on the world. I had no idea that the world wanted Obama to win. He does symbolize something: change. I'm know his angels were with him every step of the way. They still are. Obama has guides leading him the way. He is exactly what the world prayed for and the Divine answered those prayers. Thank you Divine. Thank you again America.  Thanks Hanifah and Olive  for sharing your joyous moments.
