This week, Olive and Hanifah sit down with singer Gina Breedlove. Over a cup of coffee, they discuss music and their journey to becoming independent artists.
This is my first time seeing/hearing of Gina Breedlove but this was a fabulous introduction. She has a great voice and energy. I don't know if anyone else will agree but she reminds me of Red Summer (facial features). Anyway, enjoyed this episode and will definitely check out Hanifah's video on logoonline/iloveupeople websites.
Gina Breedlove has represented Toshi Reagan! Toshi has written (and co-written) and produced songs for one of my favorite vocalists of all time, Lizz Wright!
(a fact: Toshi Reagan was featured on the "L Word" show around two years ago that is how I had learned of her)
Just saw I love U People.....AMAZING!!! And Hanifah, that pic in the end...OMG!! Sorry but I was rolling on the ground of that Synagogue lol!!
But it was so wonderful to see so many beautiful women of color just conversing about issues, weather they agreed or not! You ladies really captured something that touched my soul, I cried lauged and was in awe all at the same time!!!
