Two female roommates share a bed and some kisses on "The Real World: Cancun"

I used to be a huge fan of The Real World, and watched every season, no matter where it was being filmed. However, now that it's in it's 22nd "cycle" (as Tyra Banks would call it), I have to say that I am out of touch with what is going on in The Real World right now. And by "real," I mean the bizarre reality TV fish bowl that the rotating castmates all live in.

The latest set of seven strangers live in Cancun, and they just met, as tonight is only the third episode. Already, though, the housemates are getting close, including Ayiiia and Emilee, who appear to love one another as much as they love extra vowels in their names.

Take a look at tonight's preview:

I'm not completely sure, but it does appear that alcohol played a role in this.

From what I can tell, 22-year-old Hooters waitress/model Ayiiia and 21-year-old Hooters waitress Emilee (I'm not joking — they both are employed at the house of wings) are straight (and plan to stay that way), so tonight's escapades could be a ploy for camera time or some other kind of attention.

Considering we know so little about these people so far, it's hard to tell, but the way they miss each other's lips completely when they first go to kiss in the confessional gives me a pretty good idea that things between the two women will end before tomorrow's hangover begins. With the two women having to live together after the fact, there's probably a good chance they won't be so close after it's all over.

    When i first saw previews for this season a while back i saw the clip of this hook-up and thought to myself "oh theres gonna be a lesbian/bi girl on the show!" and then i saw the first epi and there were no girls coming out so i thought maybe she was closeted. then i saw this preview and wanted to die. im very dissapointed. i dont think they have had a lesbian/bi girl since Aneesa in Chicago (i dont count Brynn from Las Vegas or that dumb blonde girl from Australia...Shavaun or w/e her name was, b/c they never actually had a relationship with a girl). they always have a gay guy, but why not a gay girl!?

    In the last season, the 21st season, Sarah currently had a boyfriend, but had only dated women before she met him.

    i guess what im trying to say is that they havent shown any girls hooking up who are truly gay/bi since Aneesa's season. and Sarah is stupid cuz she basically made it seem like she had only dated women b/c she was abused by a man when she was younger (when she told the story abuot when she was in daycare, she said it made her not trust men which is why she felt more comfortable with women for so many years after it)

    but, oddly enough, Emilee was my waitress once at Hooters (small world) and I thought she was wicked hot. Maybe I just knew... hahaha.

    I don't know... I think this some of the first girl on girl action on MTV in a while though. 

    The drama that ensues is going to suck (it's in the ad too). Yay stereotypes :(

    that they should put a gay girl on the Real World! Sadly, I'm obsessed with this show and I have to admit that I'm really anxious to see this episode :D

    im watching tonight..i love the real world and i like both girls

    Ayiiia is actually bisexual not straight and the real world helped her realize this and thats how she now identifies

    Things like this aren't even newsworthy to me anymore--it happens so often it's really lost its meaning (not that two girls hooking up on/for television has much of that haha).  When I was younger I would have tuned in to watch, but now I'm a little jaded about "lesbian" action on TV--especially "reality" TV--and thus will not even consider it.

    It makes me sad that there can't just be some real (non-alcohol induced) lesbain/bisexual passion on T.V. It amost just proves further to those small minded homophobes that homosexuals chose to be that way/are doing it for attention. :(

     

    Although... Both those girls are not bad looking ;)

    Ok, so while I'm nowhere near as hot as those ladies, I "pass" for straight a hell of a lot easier than I could pass for gay and most people refuse to believe I love the ladies. When I was in my late teens/early 20s, I had A LOT of alcohol-induced girl-on-girl shenanigans (in the dorms) like you see up there. For me, I hadn't quite realized my true feelings (and still struggle and now I'm 30) and this was an easy way to get my jollies and not be labeled or ostracized.

    That said, while I don't condone that kind of behavior, I do understand it.

    for me to watch this show. They just throw a bunch of young people with a lack of mental and emotional stability (including one or two stable people who will eventually rot on the inside by the very end) and watch them go at it. It's entertaining to me, although I usually imagine that when the girls argue with the other girls, they suddenly jump each other's bones and make out on the floor/table/counter/whatever. It would be great to see real lesbians but I have really really low expectations for this show. The only good thing about this show for me is that I know now what not to do and say- and how to follow through with pranks.

    just watched it....they did it....emilee said she has hooked up with girls but has never been in a relationship and ayiia said it was her first time....yea i was right they fought and argued after that..down hill

    basically what you see in the previews is all that they show. way to bait people into tuning in mtv. and you got to love that they edited it into making it seem like emilee and ayiiia did more than just make out

    oh wells...despite that, this episode was good. so much drama and i was totally laughing at how hypocritical everyone in the house was being

    Even though it is "The real world" I can't help but feel like this kind of exposure only makes people that, that is how gay girls act which is not a good thing. I definitely think there needs to be more positive exposure than this.

    I kissed a girl and I liked it, oh wait...I rolled around in the sheets and made sex noises so the camera would think I boned a girl too!! Oh the joys of fake, scripted, amped up, MTV Real world! Whats new.

    Yes having a true lezzy on there would be phenominal but too far fetched for the producers to concieve since Ellen got married and all.. Lezzies are too composed and serial monogomistic...Blah blah blah. Guess the budget couldn't fit 3 cats, vibrators and neck wallets so lezbos were out huh..im sure thats why we havent been in recent seasons of this never ending series....Sterotypes and fabled negativity.

    yeah ive been waitin to see a real lesbian or bi girl on realword for awhile. the ones that legit date other females. i remember wen i was younger i was always happy to see a gay chick on it and now i feel like they benched us lolz. nooo the have to have atleast one or two gay guys but fuck the lesbians. who needs them wen u got fake bisexuals like the icky twisn and the supposide bisexual tila tequila.

    I thought it was hilarious! due to intoxication, alls well that ends well! With the exception of the dire need of taking the pill after After! In this case the CHILL pill. They wasted their time *experimenting! Looked like child's play :: I dubbed thee Drama Queens of the week!

    Look her up on twitter, she has a girlfriend now. I've actually seen a recent interview where she admits she realized she was bisexual over the course of the show.

    I think it is the way that MTV uses the footage they get that can really alter how we form our opinions of the people on the real world.  I dont think we should criticize these two young women for enjoying alittle intimate time together after a girls night out. Sometimes alcohol can let peoples guards down to allow them to be someone they want to be or even someone they didnt know they were. Im sure that many people have moments in their lives that they would look foolish in if the were edited for entertainment value. The thing to remember is that these are women not just the characters that MTV has edited together. 

    Furthermore, Ayiiia (like others have mentioned) has come out as bisexual and is currently dating a (beautiful) woman and they are an adorable couple.
