New Music Tuesday: 12-16-08Because you can't listen to Christmas carols all the time, here is your weekly dose of new music to consider adding to your playlist. Keyshia Cole — A Different Me (Geffen/Interscope) The singer's third album features Tupac (on the single "Playa Cardz Right") and also a duet with Monica. Cole has always been great at collaborations, but she always manages to steal the spotlight. Her blend of soul and hip-hop is perfect for fans of Mary J. Blige who are interested in something new. Various Artists — Yes Man Soundtrack (Lakeshore Records) Indie band Eels is aided on the soundtrack for the movie Yes Man by Zooey Deschanel and the talented women of Von Iva, who, together, make up the film's fictional band, Munchausen by Proxy. Their original songs include the title track, "Yes Man," a rousing rock track that works on its own. K's Choice — Paradise In Me (Epic Records) A re-issue of the 1995 album that included the Belgium band's biggest hit, "Not An Addict" signals that K's Choice is still a hit, despite having been on hiatus. Sarah Bettens' cool, edgy vocals and the nostalgia that comes along with listening to this album makes it even better this time around. Are any of these albums on your wish list? Zooey!
None of them are really on my wishlist but I'm definitely going to check out the Yes Man soundtrack. Hopefully Zooey and those other wonderful ladies won't let me down.
