yeah, this always happen to me (although i'm not canadian).

i watched this video in youtube. but it's really sucks when i don't find the videos afterllen's puts here in others places.

I know! I found that restriction quite amusing indeed.

We were told by Logo that this video wasn't geo-blocked — i.e. that it was available to watch by international visitors — and that's why we posted it (that's also why there there was some delay between when the video was released by DYTD and when we posted it, since we try not to publish geo-blocked videos if possible, and it usually takes awhile to clear all the international rights).

Apologies to our international readers! We've asked Logo to investigate.

But FYI for future reference: Music labels, production companies, unions etc. charge companies like Logo, MTV, Yahoo, and Hulu a lot more for the right to stream videos internationally, and there's no real way for these websites to recoup their investment right now or in the near future, since it's hard enough for them to get U.S. advertisers right now, let alone international ones, and the international ad market is fragmented and fraught with language barriers. So until there's a better U.S. economy, large demand to advertise internationally, and — most importantly — an infrastructure in place that makes it really easy to buy, sell and target ads to people from different countries, it's going to be a geo-blocked world online, unfortunately. As much as that sucks to those of us who want to view the videos, what they say in the movies really is true here: it's not personal, it's just business.

I live in the Netherlands, and this isn't the first time I've been blocked from a video.
I used to watch SNL online as well, since it doesn't air here, even there I can't watch the online videos anymore. *sigh*
