She Got Me Pregnant: Episode 63This week, Dana and Helen of Mombian.com talk about having their state representative, the Republican House Minority Leader, visit their home. He stopped by to talkk about his bill that could limit the discussion of LGBT families in schools and require parental permission before students participate in gay-straight alliances. On a lighter note, they give new meaning to the phrase "parent trap," and demonstrate what happens when their son decides he wants to play Indiana Jones. Hearing of the bill, at first, it never crossed my mind that it would hinder a child's ability to speak about their family. In school we are encouraged to talk about and draw pictures of our families, and it would be very sad if a child would have to ask permission to do so. Basically, I think it would send the message to children, at a very early age, that they have reason to be ashamed of their families.
