Jenna Elfman guest stars on "My Name is Earl"

Jaime Pressly might be a hot blonde in real life, but on My Name is Earl, she's a Southern belle with some sass (and not really any class.) But she's hilarious and plays her part perfectly, showing she has some range and doesn't always have to play the pretty girl like when she was the captain of the cheerleading squad in Not Another Teen Movie.

However there will be someone donning bloomers on My Name is Earl soon: Jenna Elfman. Another hot blonde with hilarious acting abilities will join the show for one episode, according to E! Online. She's playing a "cheer academy coach" but is said to have a flashback sequence to when she herself was a young teen, leading the squad.

Jenna is best known, of course, for playing Dharma on the sitcom, Dharma and Greg, but she has also played memorable roles in movies like Edtv and Can't Hardly Wait (as the angel stripper) and on shows like Two and a Half Men.

Here's hoping her character on Earl shows up more than once, with some sort of nostalgia problem that brings her back to her cheer days every five minutes. Maybe she happened to be on the squad with both of Earl's leading women, Jaime and Alyssa Milano. A girl can dream.

    I miss seeing Jenna Elfman on TV.  I LOVED Dharma and Greg and was disappointed when it ended.  I hope this will guest spot will lead to another series or reoccuring role for her.

    Jaime Pressley has grown on me through the years and I admit it isn't because of My Name Is Earl--I don't watch it even though I adore Jason Lee.  I do enjoy her comedic timing and I'll admit, she was awesome as Tina in the Dead or Alive movie, lol.

    I've had the pleasure on several occasions of meeting and speaking (albeit briefly) with Jenna, and she could not have been a nicer person... she actually got the cast of Dharma and Greg to sign an autographed cast picture and along with a separate autographed photo of herself she sent them to me (how nice is that?).

    Considering how many people she has surely met over the years, she actually remembered me when I saw her some time later and gave me the nickname "airplane girl" (this only makes sense when knowing that I work for the airlines and checked her in on occasion as well).

    I'm not a big viewer of comedy, so I have yet to see an episode of My Name Is Earl (hey, I can't watch everything) but I'm very happy to hear that Jenna will be back in the spotlight, and she may even get me to come around to watching the show!

    Jenna Elfman is a pretty funny lady, cute too, but I don't think anything or anyone (well, maybe Alyssa Milano-ha!) could make me like the show more than I already do.

    This is probably as 'deep' as I'll ever get on a comments page - My Name Is Earl makes me want to be a better person. I sincerely hope it's on TV for a long time to come.

    I always liked her, but she belongs to the scary scientologists (along with Jason Lee).  Even though My Name is Earl is supposedly gay-friendly, both Elfman and Lee both belong to a church that tells people that it can cure the gay.
