Faulkner

Let's take Paige's hint and read William Faulkner.

A very good place to start

Oh great. Now I'll have that Sound of Music song stuck in my head the rest of the day.

I'm a huge Jane's World fan

But I have to admit that the storyline of the "Starfighter" was going zooom ziiiip way over my head on some fronts, as I've never watched the movie. Thanks for sharing Paige.

1976

Hey now, I was born in 1976 and The Last Starfighter was one of my favourite movies growing up... I still have the book that was adapted from the screenplay!:)

Mind you, I am sure I am an anomoly because for my 6th birthday party I wanted to watch Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan.

How did I ever end up with a gf who doens't know the difference between Star Trek and Star Wars???

Anyway, I love Jane's World; I have most of the trade paperbacks, and I'll take Jane's World any way I can get it online! :)

1979 here, and never heard of Last Starfighter

But I was enjoying the new storyline.

I love the new storyline too...

...for reasons other than the Last Starfighter connections. We can still follow it on comics.com every Monday. I love this double dose of Jane's World :)

Yay, Jane's World is great.

Yay, Jane's World is great. Already a classic (like Dykes to Watch out For)!

I watched Last Starfighter as an old movie on TV

and when I came across this series, I thought it was the funniest and cleverest thing and looked forward to every installment of what real Jane "fish ouf of water" and alternate, perfect Jane would do.

As for the above spam, we know where NOT to buy wedding dresses now, don't we?

Jane seven days a week.

It makes me feel weepy that Jane is now only once a week, but I just click on the strip each day and read the same one over and over!  Yep, I've got it bad.  Je suis un homme d'un certain âge, so I am necessarily an old trekkie, but I don't care what setting Paige Braddock puts Jane and her friends in--I'll take it!
