Gay Girls Who Game: "Halo ODST"

yayyy you're back! I'm glad you guys had a fun time off, but I'm also glad you're back:)    and as a bonus it's like Christmas in October when I hear the words Need For Speed and review in the same sentence!!! Sooooooo uber excited about that.

I've only seen the trailer for SHIFT but I already have some big concerns about this one .. sadly I fear that NFS will have to wait until Nitro to win back my love. But I eagerly await your review to find out whether or not my concerns are unfounded. I shall keep my opinions to myself until after lol You will have to tell us what kind of car you choose to race :)

Can't wait to see the rooster hats again.. I thoroughly enjoyed the photos. I have a beaver tuque that I think I've determined I don't have the guts to wear in public so I think its awesome that you guy are rocking the rooster hats!

I am lookin forward to ur Uncharted 2 review. Had a go of the online multiplayer beta trial, twas fun despite mostly gettin my arse kicked.

I've really been enjoying WET I thought I was gonna get bored of it but I've found myself going back to play the point count mode, golden bullets etc. It was a bit short and I would have finished it even quicker had I not played on hard. I bought it for £30 and for me its been well worth it. I tend to like games that are violent and acrobatic, its a good way to vent (I know I've been playin it too much 'cause I've been dreamin about it). There are a few frustrating moments in the game and there could have been more depth but generally it was fun. + its good to see a game with a female protagonist who can kick the arses of every single bloke in the game.

I've never had an xbox so aint played any halo games, but 1st person shooters aint really my cup of tea anyway. I've never really understood the fuss about Halo, it gets as much hype as games like Metal Gear Solid when as far as I can see its not got as much to it.

I'd never heard the word feminazi, but I think it would be cool to have on a t-shirt. I had noticed there are a few strange blokes who post on lesbiangamers.com trying to pick a fight. One guy had posted a picture of a knob, I'm not sure if he was trying to scare or convert lesbians but it just made me laugh.

Truthfully I haven't played video games in months ... I have just been super busy! but i still enjoy watching your reviews even though I have no idea what you're talking about and will never play the games myself!

I am sorry for being clueless as to what this topic is truly about (specifically) but I am gay and an active on line gamming freak and have been activly participating in on line war games and scrims in the Mohaa community as a member and soldier of the mohaa clan {G4orce} my tags were as follows  {G4orce} =Shotgun= though G4orce is taking some time off  due to lifes dutys . . . I  myself being the die hard mohaa fan that I am can still be found killing poor undeserving individuals on the many venues of the Allied Assult servers  FFA is my speciality though sniper excellence is also my forte'

Sorry to hear about the nasty posts, and I was even sorrier to read them!  You have a point about the Halo game though.  Would it have killed them (bungie) to include the choice of playing as a male or female?

Thanks for another great episode. Im kind of in a tight spot right now with gaming. Me and my friend are looking forward to Borderlands co-op, I am planning on jumping into Dragon Age when it comes out, and I just got a part-time job. I was really tempted by the buy 2 games get one free on amazon this week but i think i will pass.

Thanks for the comment about the tattoo :) yes it did hurt a lot! I think it probably took 3-4 hours ish in two sessions, and if anyone is ever tempted to get a tattoo NEVER EVER have a hangover, because I did on the first session and oh my....but the tattoo artist was really hot so that was a distraction from the pain :P

Ahh I'm really excited about Uncharted 2, my brother has gone and bought it back home so I can't play on it at the moment, I might make up an excuse to go home and try it out haha.

Maybe Halo has sort of reached it's limit as to how much more originality it can put into its games, I'm not the biggest fan ever (I played multiplayer with a friend and just ended up getting trampled by fanatics) so I guess I might be a bit biased but I'm not convinced there is a lot more they can do with it to make it new and exciting.

I can't believe you had to order a game from over here just to get past the censors, I guess I should count myself lucky that they are fairly loose over here comparitively...

And real-life boxing isn't so much fun in my opinion, I tried out the uni club the other day and even in light sparring getting hit on the face is not nice at all!! Any way thanks for another great vlog :)

Thanks for another excellent vlog ladies. A few thoughts.

1. L4D2 is banned in Australia? O_O that is just all sorts of all not right.  don't worry- we'll wait for you to play and join in our epic marathons!

2. I wonder if so few women/lesbians are going over to the lesbiangamers site to argue for a few reasons. First of all- the amount of negative comments is COMPLETELY overwhelming. Second, most of the comments are not thoughtful, well thought out arguments. They are mostly stupid homophobic comments. I know personally i don't argue with people like that because A. They are all apparently 4 years old, and B, I will never change their mind, just as they will never change mine.  So why waste a well-crafted argument on them?  I'm not saying i don't like a good fight (because I do) but sometimes it just is not worth it.

Yes, I still am playing Beatles rock band. It is still lots of fun. I am trying to finish the achievements and getting better at drumming, which my neighbors love, I am sure. I try to be quiet though, honestly.

New Super Mario Brothers Wii and Assassin's Creed 2 are both coming out soon. Are you planning on doing those? Come spring, Final Fantasy XIII is coming out in the spring (in North America, at least, I think it is out December in Japan), and it apparently has a female main character, yay: http://ps3.ign.com/dor/objects/826843/final-fantasy-xiii/videos/tgs09_ff... (Sorry, I am a bit of a Final Fantasy fangirl). And a tough-looking main female character! The trailer and the character (Lightning, cool name) both look great to me. ^_^

Do you dislike just Halo or FPS games in general? I will admit they do seem a bit repetitive, but they are fun to play with others (though not necessarily online). I had a lot of fun playing Halo, but thank you for the advice to just rent instead of buy.

Rats, i've had to miss the second half of the vlog because my internet has decided to have a spaz attack, and the wi-fi at uni is painfully too slow for streaming :( Though I'm not a fan of the Halo series, FPS games generally don't interest me.

Uni is almost over for the semester and i'm looking forward to actually being able to play some games! Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is 1st on my list of games to play! I just have to make it through my exams... T.T The only highlight til end of exams is the Pride parade this weekend! Us CCQN peeps are having a zombie prom float. We've decided we're gonna attack the other parade marchers and tag them with fake blood. :D

L4D4 Is aside from COD modern warfare 2 the game I want to get my grubby little mits on most of all. I cannot wait to see what they've done, fingers crossed there are some great new missions, maybe some new zombies although I may be asking for too much.

Still playing Batman, had a two week holiday in Florida to visit my aunts so gaming was off the agenda, now I can get back into it, finished the game but have to complete the enigma riddles.

Hey hey im back from sin city.

I see the Veronicas a week before i left for vegas, they were amazing, yes there a little scary now but i wanna marry them both lol, love there new ablum as much if not better than there first one.

 I missed a whole three weeks of gaming and wow when i got back everything was out lol Unchanted 2, DJ Hero, Band Hero, Tekken 6 - my head could have exploded but luckily it didnt, Love Unchanted i think its amazing and obv DJ Hero and Band Hero whats not to love there, unfortunatly i thought Tekken was crap, never really been one for beat em ups that much but with the hype i thought it would be good, but its like every other beat em up.

 At the mo im playing Boarderlands which is ok very similar to Fallout 3, still playing DJ Hero and Band Hero too coz there fun.

So glad to be back and didnt miss many vlogs
