This week's games of choice are "Ghostbusters" on the PS3 and their top pick of iPhone games such as "Ranch Rush," "Harbor Master" and "Paper Toss."

Thanks for the advice about
Thanks for the advice about the sims - if I have some spare money after summer I might be tempted...who knows! And perhaps the reason I don't like game exercise is because my house is always really messy - back in my dancemat phase I always used to end up knocking into stuff and almost going through the roof!
Ghostbusters doesn't seem to look as special as they made it oout to be - there seems to be a lot of hype but that's probably just the subject matter.
Have you heard about the iphone application called 'cannabis'? I heard it on a US news station at work, made me laugh..
I've actually been really sad recently and been playing on a PS1 game I picked up for cheap second hand. I feel like I'm 10 years old again but then again they don't make spyro games like they used to :P..oh and my brother recently bough dark sector, we looked for a review on your website but couldnt find one, then I read somewhere it wasn't bought out in Australia because of the violence?
Great vlog as usual, even if my cat conspired to stop me watching it by wallking up and down infront of the screen...:/ You seemed to be enjoying flicking the screen back and forth lol :D
The closer you get to the light, the greater your shadow becomes, but don't be afraid...
here I am, my bestest friends!
ladies! Great show as always! I assure you that nothing - not even a flickering screen in the background - could distract from you and your spectacular vlog!
I missed a few weeks of your lovliness - so I need to go back and catch up! Just wanted to say hello so you didn't think I was a big jerkface who abandoned the best vlog in the world! Thank you for the shout-out even though I have been neglectful! I am not deserving!
I still remember Ghostbusters from NES - wow, that game was pretty bad! but you ladies look much too youthful to remember such an old game so nevermind! :)
thanks for the greatness as always!

too many games have male
too many games have male lead characters, and there deff aint enough lesbian content in games. the way i see it if the games r aimed at teenage boys then surely they'd love to have the main character be a lesbian. i'm currently playin fallout 3 a lot and noticed on a visit to underworld (where all the ghouls live) that Carol and Greta are obviously a couple and they've been together 60 yrs aint that sweet.
i wonder if anyone plays that paper flickin iphone game while in an office or if they opt to just throw real paper into a real bin.

I don't know if this has
I don't know if this has been talked about but there's a game coming out in September called 'Wet' with a lead female character.

Aye looks good and its voiced by Eliza Dushku
I was thinkin bout pre-ordering it from game to get double reward points since £30 aint bad.
Lookin forward to Uncharted 2 apparently it has a co-op mode where u can play as a girl. But its online not split screen. I bought burnout paradise in part to play 2 player with my gay husband only to find it didn't have a split screen mode. Who cares if split screen reduces picture quality I was happy enough with my sega megadrive. In trying to make gaming more social with online gaming its become more antisocial, what ever happened to gettin some mates round for lager and videogames (burnout takedown a chance to drink and drive)

Who you gonna call?
That was a great review! I have not watched you guys' reviews before, and I am now in love and must go back and watch everyone single one. ^_^
Well, I played the XBox version of Ghostbusters since I do not have a PS3. The gameplay felt a little awkward at first (for the first hotel mission), but it did not seem so bad once I had it down. It did not seem too difficult to me, but I played it on "Experienced" (medium) mode the first time through, I need to go back and do it in "Professional" (hard?) mode, I guess (might be much tougher). The dialogue, oh, I loved the silly dialogue. It had me giggling quite a few times. They did a great job with that, and it reminded me of the movies so much. It was definitely a fun game, very reminiscent of the light-heartedness of the movies (and many references to the movies too, like the talking painting). If you enjoyed the movies, you will definitely love the dialogue.
Also, yeah, It would have been really nice to have had the option to be a girl ghostbuster, I agree! Well, hopefully next time.
Oh, and games people will rush out, line up to buy? I personally must have Assassin's Creed 2 (speaking of which, I want a female assassin :p) when it comes out. I would have said the same thing for Bioshock 2, and I am annoyed that they delayed it. Oh, and Beatles Rock Band.
Nice background
I love my DSi... i have beat Zelda and now im working on Fire Emblem and Advance Wars. They did alot of neat stuff with the stylus control but it took me a while to get used to it. Its interesting because alot of this stuff can be done with a mouse but i have never played a PC game with gesture recognition. The closest thing is daggerfall where different swipes across the screen make different weapon attacks.
As for games that inspire monstrous lines... i can't think of any. Usually there is a big enough supply of games that its not an issue. I remember when Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction came out I went at midnight to pick it up and there was no line, and that game probably sold a million copies the first day. that being said when Starcraft 2 is FINALLY released it will probably break some records.
Thanks for taking time out of your busy lives to give us so much :D
I will try to do the same now that I have a (temporary) job.
what can i say.. i like chocolate ;)
yayy .. i see you have conquered your upload problems. horray!
i personally very much liked the big screen background.. its full of alien green colours lol
happy to hear slimer makes an appearance in ghost busters, hes my favourite. i must say the graphics in that do look very impressive. i mean who wouldnt want to zap ghosts with an electric tazer!! .. and now that ive seen the paper ball toss game but lack an iphone i think i might just have to try and recreate that at work on my lunch hour.. it just looks like too much fun im missing out on : D
Ohhhhhh....
You have a cinema room. I've just recently moved, and sadly I still do not have a dedicated room to view the vast number of movies that I own. I did set up an outdoor viewing on a borrowed screen last weekend. I'm sure my new neighbours HATE me lol.
Ghostbusters looks like it would actually be a fair amount of fun. I will have to seek out a copy. I just recently found my old school Ghostbuster toys from when I was a kid. They are just as much fun to play with now as they were when I was 8.
I'm glad I don't own an iPhone. I don't think I'd get any work done if I did lol.
As always, thanks for being awesome.. and stuff. Eh.
absolutely off topic
hey jenn you ever notice that when we reply to these vlogs i always seem to be on top and youre on the bottom. whats up with that? i never pegged you as a bottom ..
ahahaha sorry its just been way too long since ive nagged you about your sleeping habbits or teased you about your affinity for weird soap .. i just couldnt pass that one up lol
Actually...
I'm very much a bottom lol. Shocking I know ;o)
i dont believe it
: O im flabbergasted.. i dont even know how to respond to this information.. sheeeesh just when you think you know a person lol
hmmm.. i wonder if Lara Croft would be a top or a bottom.. i would assume top but apparently my assumptions have failed me
Wow im shocked that Angela's
Wow im shocked that Angela's game shes looking forward to most is on the PS3 but its totally understandable that its Unchanted 2.
Like ive said before mine are 'This is Vegas' 'Unchanted 2' 'Bioshock 2' (although i heard its now delayed till feb '10.
Ooooh i love the Iphone apps reviews def gonna download both Ranch Rush and Harbour Masters as i dont have them, I already have both of Angela's reviews, i love Shazam its sooo clever i was always that person who heard songs but never knew what they were.
PAPER TOSS ohmygod its the best game ever, seriously im on it for hours, my girlfriend downloaded it and got a better score than me and i HAD to beat her (not physically obv) she said i was very sad and then trued all night to beat my score, its very addictive.
Oooh have yo seen the review of 'Saw: the video game'? personally when i heard there was a game i was like oh god its gonna be crap but it actually looks really good, defa a game ill get all the puzzles and traps etc.
Thanks!
Awesome
Excellent Vlog once again, ladies. I hope you know i am drooling over your cinema room (and crying on the inside because i don't have one).
It looks like if everything goes through I'll be heading out to Macquarie University in May. My research grant is only for 3 weeks, but I think i can swing a long weekend trip up to the Gold Coast. And I would happy to be a guest reviewer!
I finally opened up and played Bioshock, and finished it in about 2 days- and now I can't wait for Bioshock 2 to come out. I also can't wait for Mass Effect 2 and Left 4 Dead 2- although with a new campaign for L4D 1 It won't be as tough as a wait.
You guys make me want to get an iphone with all the fun games, but I can't give up my crackberry- I just never got comfortable with a touch-screen keyboard, especially with all the texting I do. *snuggles with blackberry*
Thank you!
Haha, thank you very much for the welcome! Yay for another entertaining and funny Vlog! You two always make game review videos easy to sit through. Totally awesome! After hearing a positive review about Ranch Rush, I had to go and ask my brother if I can try Ranch Rush on his iPhone (since he already had it) and now I'm totally glued to it! I've also tried Paper Toss and enjoyed it so much. Haha, I'm looking forward to getting Bioshock 2 since I loved Bioshock. Also, Tekken 6 coming out on Xbox is a big hooray from me. Since Tekken is one of my favorite fighting games. Oh, and I can't wait for DJ Hero! Since I've been working on my DJing skills this summer, I think this game would be fun and motivational for me. Well, just wanted to say great job once again with the vlog and can't wait to see you two pretty faces with more game reviews soon!
