yay
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood seems amazing, will be picking that up for my computer to snack on I think.
haven´t played infamous yet due to me not owning a 360 or a ps3 (someday I´ll afford to buy them :P) might buy prototype for the pc but not sure yet. looks good but looks isn´t everything.
And I would very much like longer reviews with more details or more games :D if you have the time.
I did manage to get a ghost baby, a little boy I named Niko (guess in who´s tribute :D) got my kleptomaniac to steal a male grave in the crypt. think i chose "handle the dead". took it home and put it in the yard. At night when he came around I flirted shamelessly and made them wohoo for a baby and there he was a few days later.
annoying though that he sounds like the ghosts do at night, the exact same.. only ALL THE TIME... -.-
accents + eliza + jillian = deliciousness
first and foremost. if i havent told you lately i ADORE your accents! .. love love love them to pieces. its like chocolate for my ears. absolutely lovely and i would be devastated if they left : D
okay now on with the show. I am so happy you guys did the EA active review, i was just reading your review of it on the website last night after a friend recommended the game (i appologize for not leaving a comment over there for you as well.. but im pretty sure following people in 5 different places on the internet constitutes stalking and i wouldnt want to terrify you lol) anway I was extremely pleased with the uhaul recommendation and, therefore, uber happy when i saw it on the vlog. Im pretty sure i shall be purchasing EA active but i will wait until after the jillian review. As sexy as it would be to have jillian michaels scream at me to do pushups i think i would get far too distracted just watching her and listening to her lol
and the boating segment was great .. i think it should come with a warning label of some kind.. something to the effect of "dont try this at home if you dont know how to swim or are terrified of large bodies of water" ..so i think ill stick to watching other people boat : P
Hmmm....
Chocolate for your ears eh? Nice. lol
return?
oh you know you agree with me about the accents. smooth, sexy and delicious and melty just like chocolate : D
Sigh..
Thanks

Tracey, you should compare being a Jillaroo with being a digital cowboy :)
Stretchbands always remind me of a scene from Kath n Kim! I tried out both Prototype and Infamous, I found that Prototype was more of a hack n slash type of game, whereas InFamous was more of a tactical game with some first person shooter elements. But after a while both games gave me a feeling of deja-vu. It was pretty cool to be able to morph and grow blades, it made me feel like Weapon XI from Wolverine. Though electricity made me feel like watching Mutant X all over again.
You two are killing me with
You two are killing me with some Velvet anticipation!! ;)
I’m still holding out for that one…
Also I am very pleased that I finally finished Uncharted! I loved it and more essentially my GF even thought it was great because you could watch all the cut scenes, so she felt it was like a movie!! Can’t wait for 2nd!!
Aside from that not really been gaming much… Think I will have to go a little southern on you’ll (American Accent!!) and get Bound in Blood.
What do you girls know about the new Rockstar Western game – Red Dead Redemption? I love a bit of western action, ever since Sharron Stone in the quick and the dead... oh yeah, need I say more??!?!!
Thanks for the Vlog... your little pups are adorable with the lifejackets on!! Your making me miss Australia like crazy with the last clips! I grew up spending me weekend on Sydney Harbor cursing on our boat… My father was the Harbor Master so I grew up with sea legs and don’t really get that motion sickness when playing FPS. You’ll be happy to know it is raining every day in the UK at the moment – brilliant summer!! L
Take care,
:)
My girlfriend has been playing Prototype on her 360 and is loving it. Neither of us have a PS3 so we haven't tried Infamous which may or may not make Prototype seem better. As you guys said, its unfortunate that the review is being based on another game because I think without the comparison you may have given it a more favourable review.
My only complaint about the game is that the sound is incessantly annoying! Sitting in the same room while shes playing prototype and im trying to focus on other things makes me want to stab pencils in my ears. All the screaming and crashing and random noises, but I suppose that makes it much more enjoyable to the person actually playing it :)
It doesn't seem like you guys are FPS fans, but the new online only Battlefield 1943 is out as a download on Live. Anyone who liked the online play of Battlefield 2: MC will love this one, its more than your typical Run & Gun Call of Duty game! Definitly worth the MS Points if you like shooters :)
Prototype vs InFamous
Thanks for the awesome blog, as per usual. I was stoked to see the Prototype review as I am a huge fan of InFamous and have been doing a will I/won’t I buy with Prototype. I actually played Assassin’s Creed straight after InFamous and I think that the sweet controls and movements in InFamous made Assassin’s not as great. I’ll probably wait now till year’s end and get Prototype then. And maybe then buy it on Xbox so it'll seem even more different. I’ve never played a Western themed computer game (I know, right!) but might just dip my toe in to the cowboy waters with Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood.
Am loving the different filming locations for GGWG – both indoors and out. Find myself missing the great wall o’ games that was your backdrop, but understand the difficulties of light & sound. What about a GGWG direct from the Great! Cinema! Room! ?
Do you think that there will be a massive ‘camp out at midnight to buy’ type game released in the second half of the year? A Halo/Doom scale of game? A huge blockbuster? I can’t see one for 2009, but may be wrong...
I really can't say I have a
I really can't say I have a particulary good excuse for never buying the sims 2, I guess I always saw it as quite expensive and I've always been more of a playstation gamer over a PC gamer. I guess I just lost street cred haha!
Ugh, I was turned off of protoype by the first cutscene, I half expected him to turn on some depressing music and start crying, everything was so dark. It was so desperately trying to be cool. It also just seemed so cheap, like ripping everything up and throwing it everywhere and the running up and down the walls. I really was just like...no.
'Female focus games'...oh dear I watched a video a guy did on that on youtube where he basically argued that most of them are patronising to women and a waste of time. He was finding some pretty dire DS games which may as well have been called 'how to be a housewife'. As for the active thing it sounds cooler than wii fit...but I would always argue it's so much more fun going out and doing it away from a computer. I've just been out on my punchbag before I watched this :P
I'm loving the life jackets on your dogs by the way...very cute :D And I like your accents so I'm glad your not going to suddenly turn american (disclaimer: not that I dislike american accents)!
The closer you get to the light, the greater your shadow becomes, but don't be afraid...
another splendid vlog

Hurray
I am the proud new owner of a DSi... it will arrive next week along with a bunch of games... strategy games... as it turns out. Lets hope its worth the $300 bucks i coulda spent on a 360 and Fable 2. I will go rewatch your DS segments when I have time.
The website looks great... I dunno if its fully changed but good stuff all around. I will leave you more comments because I really appreciate your work and my laziness is no excuse.
Lately i've gotten into late night gaming... going to sleep when the light peeks through the blinds. Damn you Mass Effect! I'm sure lots of people can relate... any funny stories?
Looking forward to next week.
Hey im back lol, havent
Hey im back lol, havent commented in a few vlogs been supre busy with work and gaming.
Prototype was cool but i lost interest in it so fast and just ran around eating people.
Call of Juarez is pretty impressive, really enjoying it and luckily dont have motion sickness so im all good, and ohmygod 100inch screen you lucky lucky ladies.
It made me laugh how you were talking about motion sickness then when on a boat surely that would be hell for you both but you both loved it.
Been playing a range of different games lately, Watchman and Ghostbusters (both very repeatative) Tiger Woods 2010 (ok i guess), UFC and Fight night 4 (fight night was ok but ufc wasnt).
Anyway ill be off now, keep up the great vlogging
Mm.
Excellent Vlog
Excellent vlog once again, ladies- i am thoroughly entertained (because my entertainment is all that matters!).
Alas, I am finally done traveling- and in the last 2 months I have gone to the following states: Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. I am now done (and completely exhausted) for the summer. Hit me up next summer and I will be glad to be a roving reporter- maybe in a fake mustache (for some odd reason I took a picture of myself a lot in fake mustaches)
I haven't been around to gaming as much because of work, but I have been able to play Call of Duty WAW with Han M and Misajingles every once inawhile. I hang my head in shame as I STILL have not opened Bioshock to play it- mainly becuase I know that when i start I won't be able to stop- and I don't need to be fired. I have picked up Assassians Creed to play through again.
Call of Juarez looks pretty decent. Thanks for the recommend- and for letting me know about the motion sickness. Note to self: if you throw up while playing a game, it may not be worth it!
