Tracy and Angela of LesbianGamers.com have finally moved home, returned to civilization by having their internet switched on and got around to playing some games for review. This week they will be looking at "Silent Hill: Homecoming" and "007 Quantum of Solace," both on the PS3 along with "Puzzloop" on the iPhone.

They also deliver the usual viewer feedback and show off their "den of geek."

"Den of Geek" pretty catchy, its also short for "DOG", just wanted to point that out... Nice reviews, ive played Resident Evil games before, but i havn't played any silent hill games yet so i'll definitely be all for it if it comes out for the Wii! I will always love 007Goldeneye for N64 the most, its just such an amazing game! Thanx again for the reviews and looking foward to the next entertaining one with wireless SingStar lol! you ladies are hilarious... Oh and jw, any recommendations for good RPG games for DS?
wait wait ladies...
something must have gotten lost in translation on the way down under to you ... I was the one to be fanned.. lol.. erm.... anyway... ;)
Welcome en la case de geek :D Looks like you made a good move then.. as much as I like the new room do you think it's possible to show more of you two; i.e. in comparison to the rest of the room being shown in the pic you two are small.. more Angela and Tracy please :) (of course the room is great, it's the Den of the Geeks after all.. but you two are the Masters of the House, hence deserve more prominence..in my eyes :D).
Woohoo... bunnyratings ;D Also, thought the Tina rating sounded strangely appropriate after your elaborations on Silent Hill :)
Question: Now that the DSi is available in the UK... what do you Masters of Gaming think about this new little handheld.. worth the swap from the DSlight.. or wait for a really innoative handheld from good old Ninty as the DSi version is not that cool (mind.. there's an apps store, and knowing your affinity to the iPhone's apps that feature could be quite the top feature, no?)
Other than that.. good to have you back ladies.. it's been a while.. entertaining episode :D

o.o bunny!
The new setup is going to take a bit of time to get use to, but it looks nice. If your red mac goes missing... it was totally not me, just saying ;)
Wow, um, so no ones ever called me a model, thanks. That's very similar to how I say broads actually.
That bunny fella reminds me of Donnie Darko, not sure why.
"Yours is so much smaller then mine" implications, yes I do believe so.
The sound laydowns for most games and movies seem to be more scary than the actual video. Its like SHAM loud noise -jump, twitch, shudder- but then its like POP something appears out of nowhere -oh, point gun, shoot-
Bette from the find out if the chef is gay episode would make a kick ass secret agent.
Have you heard of the game Madworld? I saw a couple friends of mine playing it and it's something thats had me sickly interested since.
Nice background art!
The den of geek should maybe be called the cavern of geek, since it is HUGE! Or at least it seems that way at that camera angle. Glad to see Angela's magic video hands are able to adjust to the new space. When you guys mentioned trying to get into retro game head space, I immediately thought of putting an old Journey or Aerosmith "record" on the "turntable" and cranking it totally up, just like all the arcades back in the day did (at least they did where I grew up). Ya might try that with your fancy new surround sound theater! ; )
You guys crack me up with your new bunny/vampire mummy whatsit ratings. Hey Angela, hope you enjoy wireless Singstar week! Hahahaha! Anyhow, congrats on your spacious new digs, and hope you take the camera outside again soon. As for the crazy hats....I have no words. ; )
First off, loving the new
First off, loving the new digs, and gratz on the move. I have to say though, I feel like you should lose geek points for the excessive macs... everyone knows you're not a true geek until you have cobbled together several ramshackle pcs of your own design, modded the cases, and are running some sort of incompresensible flavour of linux like Arch. Though I'm not an Apple fan so maybe that's just me (and yes I realise I will be flamed for that, but still, I finally came out of the not liking Apple closet!)
Anyway, I totally get the whole being scared of games thing... when I first started playing Bioshock, I was TERRIFIED of the big daddies and had to get my wifey to sit with me, lol. Speaking of which, I am soooo excited for Bioshock 2 and all the details coming out at the moment. I'm looking forward to drilling splicers and having my own little sister to harvest dead folk... Is that weird?
And I'm sure you knew this was coming but... what did you think of the L4D Survivor Pack DLC? Kendra and I managed 12 minutes on one map but we're struggling to break 5 minutes on the others. Multiple tanks are a bitch :(
Looking forward to the skate 2 review as the game has literally taken over my life... I've finished it but I still spend hours skating around doing nothing in particular and playing online.
www.myspace.com/stopstartstall - acousticy music type stuff.
RE5
I recognize that game at
I recognize that game at the end. I used to play it on my PSOne. I'm pretty sure it was called Ballistic, and it was so much fun. I should dig up my old PSOne and hook it up. However, the key issue is that it is not a Zuma rip off. Zuma is a Ballistic rip off! I even think there is a lawsuit or something against the Zuma creators for basically copying Ballistic. I used to play it for hours, and I would focus on it so much to just get to the next level. I forget what my best was on it.
Sorry, it's just I was excited because I remembered it and it was such a favourite of mine.
On to other things - You seem to have done an amazing job unpacking! In what, 2 or 3 weeks? You've got your Den of Geek and it looks awesome.
I too used to get freaked out playing Silent Hill, but then I developed this wonderful coping mechanism. I play it in the dark, right around the time my cats decide I should be feeding them. Then, when they appear out of nowhere and bump into me to get me to notice them, I scream really loudly and they run away. Hmm...maybe that's not really a coping mechanism for the game.
Silent Hill
Has something that I think most other games lack - atmosphere. Silent Hill's atmosphere might just be the best of any survival horror series. HOWEVER! It has one major weakness: player handling! It has the clunkiest damn handling of any player character ever. No real strafing, if you want to attack you literally must stay still as a statue and swing at varying rates while monsters zip about you with ease. It's a royal pain. It is also the prime reason I prefer Resident Evil. Much better handling.
Now if we could just get the atmosphere of Silent Hill with the playability of Resident Evil...I'd be in heaven!
I only recently have been playing BioShock - good stuff for a FPS! Very original idea. I'm lovin' the Xbox360 and never ever thought I would. Also picked up Jericho. Talk about a difficult game. But innovative. I'm hoping Jericho 2 will be even better.
~Without risk, there can be no innovation. Without innovation, there can be no advancement. ~
Yay new house
Yay bunny reviews
Yay retro games
Great episode, keep up the good/funny/awesome reviews & commentary!
I have to say that my eyes kept going up to the lovely Noriko poster. I have to get one... any suggestions on acquiring one? You have inspired a massive downloading spree and poster store hunt... oh noes!

Also I refuse to get a PS3 untill Hitman 5 comes out one of the best series ever.
welcome back
The new room looks nice, love the Lara pic behind you.
Unfortunatley Angelina aint in Wanted, as much as it was a good game believe me tracy it wouldnt have taken youlong to complete it.
YAY Silent Hill, glad that you liked it, i loved the fast explanation Tracy gave of the storyline hehe, Obv i got the American version coz i was so impatience but i am going to play through the UK version to too see how watered down it is, coz the american version was so gory it even shocked me.
I was sad that it didnt have very many puzzles in it as all the other Silent Hills have loads, what ending did you get? i got the 'Hospital' ending which is a bad ending out of the possible 5 different endings.
At the mo im playing Godfather 2 im soooo addicted, ive nearly finished it though only one more family to take down to be the DON woohoo.
Awesome
Excellent vlog again ladies. Apparently I am a bad friend and commenter, as I have not been the first person to comment- I apologize thoroughly. We just finished the semester, and I had to say goodbye to 300 students. I enjoyed the new digs and the den of geek- it's very cool. And the Bunny's rock.
I actually have not opened BioShock yet... that makes me a bad gamer. I swear on my xbox 360 that I will play it this week, along with the new DLC Left 4 Dead Survivor pack.

love the new place......and
love the new place......and you girls are totally hired to be hula dancers!! You just need a couple grass skirts and some coconuts and you're good to go. ;-)
Love the bunny reviews, I've never seen it...sooo cute!
FPS games usually make me dizzy but I think I may check out that Quantum of Solace game. I'm feeling the need to bring out the secret agent in me; however, I'm probably more of a Maxwell Smart-type than James Bond-type agent but whatevaz.
I don't have an iPhone but Puzzloop definitely looks like my kind of game. I love Zuma, Luxor, and other games like that! Come to think of it, it is probably a good thing I don't have an iPhone, I would likely never get anything done at work cuz I'd be playing games all the time....dang I'm such a slacker..hehe.
Happy gaming ya'll!
Den of Greatness
Nice to see you both back and all unpacked.
Also are these Mass Effect iPhone rumours true?! The iPhone is starting to get a creditable gaming CV!
:D
love your vlogs :D
