buy buy room lol, moving

buy buy room lol, moving house, very nice.

My Wii has not been turned on for about hmmm 6months maybe even more, there just wasnt anything out and still isnt.

Yep i played Wheelman it was fun for a while but became soooooooooooo repetative realisticly you just do the same thing over and over id say rent it to have a look but its really nothing interesting.

I bought Wanted and guess what i completed it in *drum roll please* 3hours (and thats with me pausing it a few times) its the shortest game EVER which sucks coz it was wicked.

The nurf gun duel was hilarious (Angela that ws genius walking behind Tracey).

I bought my fiance a mega drive and she loved it then couldnt be bothered to play it coz of setting it up etc so i bought her the sega mega drive collection on ps3 and shes pretty happy with that, it has all her favs on there apart from tojam and earl (but i got her that on the mega drive anyway) but hey you cant have everythig.

Old games are ridiculously

Old games are ridiculously hard.  Whenever I go back and play on my mega drive, I swear I can never get as far as I could when I was little.  Streets of Rage and the first couple of Sonic games are just cripplingly difficult.  Aren't they bringing out a new mega drive soon?  Well, it's the same old one but it has 15 games built in and it's compatible with the old cartridges.  I'll probably get one cuz one of my controllers is a bit dodgy now.

Speaking of cripplingly difficult games, I finally completed Skate 2 and all the DLC this week, after about three months of playing.  Skating games are my secret shame.  I've played every Tony Hawk's game since they were on the ps1.  I'm gonna finish Dead Space and Lost Odyssey now.  I have a stupidly long list of games to play.  I haven't even started Fallout 3 and I've had it since Christmas.

Glad you're a bit happier this week! Hope everything goes ok with the move!

Don't make fun of my purse :P

Ok, my purse is AWESOME! I got it at the Montreal Jazz Fest...and you can fit a Wii in it! Also, backpacks make me think of when I worked for the firm and carried my laptop, my files, supplies and whatever else would enable me to work 20 hours that day.  So backpacks = evil auditor life. It also goes a lot better with my suits than a backpack does...and I like girly things so nyah! or bleh.

I have to say, while my Wii sits unpacked and unloved (I still have games to finish on it - Okami, Zelda, No More Heroes) my DS lives a very active life.  It comes with me on the plane everytime I go somewhere, which lately has been almost every other week.  Here's my issue though - I lost a Pheonix Wright game on the plane, because I didn't realize it had fallen off.  I was very sad about it.  I've been playing some other games, Jake Hunter, Zookeeper (is an old standby) Touch the Dead for zombie slaying portable fun, Dementium Wards, and this other horror point and click type game, whose name I can't remember.  I have some RPGs for the ds at home, actually, I have too many games, and I always have a hard time picking which ones I put in the carry case to take ont he plane with me.

Going kind of retro, I have River City Ransom (for the GBA) that I like to play...except for I'm stuck in this one part, and I can't figure out how to get past it.

50th Episode? It seems like just yesterday........

Tracy, your professor imitation was delicious! I haven't played my DS in probably over a year, but man, your fake spanish/french mumble jumble of a review makes me want to dig that thing out of the drawer!

I would like to see some sort of dancing in the 50th anniversary special - and also some hats ... yes.  some crazy ass hats.  I can't wait!

Smooches!

Old games rock!!!

You guys should play Golden Axe on Sega Genesis... that was loads of fun, though my eyes hurt after playing it on a big screen tv.

Great show again, good luck moving!

I think that for episode 50 you should dress up as your favorite characters or something cool like that, and use some classic qoutes during the review.

Rygar lives!

I remember playing an old game by Techmo called ‘Rygar’ until literally until my fingers bled in the late ‘80s. It was an arcade game in a corner of a little store that made THE BEST milkshakes and hamburgers in the entire universe ever.  I played it many years later on an emulator and I sucked enormously on it – and because it was on the PC, I couldn’t even blame the joystick! It was an awesome scrolling platform game that once made me Queen! Of! The! Milkbar! (Insert mighty trumpet sounds here) and annoyed all the boys to be beaten by a girl. Now? Not so much. Still, if you can get it for your new (highly impressive) upright arcade box, it’d be a great addition.

Old Games

When I did have my Wii, I spent the most time playing some downloaded old school Mario games and I was terrible at them! The controls were difficult, and touchy so I way too often ran off a cliff, or jumped into an enemy. Old games were also much less forgiving!

I liked the Nerf Footage, and am glad to hear that it's only nerf guns you're playing with back there! Good luck with the move!

Have a safe and

Have a safe and non-stressful move! I know moving can be tiring and kinda a pain! So good luck!

I totally agree with the older games being harder to play at first! A few months ago I broke out my breath of fire II game for Super Nintendo and I took me awhile for me to get back used to the controls. It took me half an hour to figure out how to pull up the map lol because you had to hold the select button down for multiple seconds.

Also my friend and I tried playing the arcade game golden axe for Sega. This one is a bit more action packed and fast moving than breath of fire. I don’t know how many times I walked into an obstacle and couldn’t move or walked off the ledge or beat up my friend by accident lol. It took a bit to get going on it as well.

One of my favourite retro

One of my favourite retro classics would have to be The Secrets of Monkey Island (aside for SW x-wing/tie fighter). If you don’t agree, well all I have to say to that is -I am rubber and you are glue! Point and click was the start of gaming for lots of people and it was also one of the first types of gaming that really brought in humour and developed characters so you cared about them and their stories...

Speaking of point and clicks, the Wii has a new (recycled) game coming out soon from Ubisoft called Broken Sword and it has been getting a bit of hype. Perhaps due only to the lack of titles being released on Wii? Who knows but what we can see is that point and click suits the Wii to a T! Like you girls said, Zack and Wiki Quest for Barbaros Treasure was a great game!

Another Wii game due for release this month, Tenchu: Shadow Assassins (again from Ubisoft) is developed for the hardcore gamer and a well done to Ubisoft who also brought out No More Heros!   I don’t play my Wii as much as my PS3 but still do use it now and again, mostly because I have Guitar Hero on my Wii.

Has anyone played Rune Factory: Frontier? A new game out on the Wii which has had some positive reviews. Similar to harvest moon, animal crossing with dungeons thrown in for good measure. From what I can see it is a mix of a life sim, action adventure and RPG but does it better than most of those game categories that are already out on the Wii.. http://www.runefactoryfrontier.com/

And lastly, I’m pretty excited about the Assassins Creed 2 teaser that went live yesterday. Doesn’t explain a thing but I’m currently playing through Assassins Creed and am finding it rather enjoyable, yet somewhat repetitive. However it still has amazing graphics and I’m loving climbing over and up everything… Also the news about Fable 2’s downloadable content ‘See the Future of Albionis good news… just needs to come to PC now! Does anyone know when this will be?

Good luck with your Briz-Vegas move! (also thanks for the recommendation but I could not hear what game you said...)

Nice job

Excellent job once again ladies- I'm impressed you still had time to do a vlog while packing and moving (although you seemed to have time to play your new arcade game- sweeeeet). I also enjoyed the nerf duel- although clearly Angela cheated and is not worried about Tracy's look of death.

I found that older games are way harder then I remember- I just downloaded Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade game, and I remember being really really good at it. Well, now I really really suck at it.  I think it's my old age. ButI can still beat Super Mario 3 in under 20 minutes- so they aren't all that bad.

I am currently playing Oblivion and just bought Bio-Shock after everyone and their mother told me to buy it (including Han M and Misajingles) so i am going to start playing that.  Otherwise, Left 4 Dead is still at the top of my list!

And thanks for the shoutout for the podcast- i appreciate it!

awww...thanks for the

awww...thanks for the welcome dance ladies...hehe..I love it! The Nerf duel was hilarious as well. This episode had me cracking up at work, my cubicle neighbors probably think I'm nutso.

Gotta love those retro games. I downloaded Super Mario Bros to my Wii when I first got it, I totally sucked.  Then again, I sucked at that game way back in the day too.

To this day the only games I ever finished were the old PS1 Crash Bandicoot games. I loved me some Crash =) I don't seem to have any stamina/ attention span these days, I get bored with games when I die a 100 times in a row.

I'm soooo happy you guys had time to do the vlog while packing and all that....because moving REALLY sucks.

Have a great weekend everyone!

I whole heartedly have to

I whole heartedly have to agree with your comment about finishing games. I struggle to finish most of the games I play. I have a few gaming sessions where I am hooked and excited to play the game and then find my attention swiftly evaporates to a new title…

I am a Zelda fan but I can’t remember ever finishing a title… the only game I can recently remember finishing is Call of Duty Modern Warfare and this is only because I had my PS3 in the office for a week and preferred to play then look at the tragic state of the market with my screen flashing red as the world plunged deeper into recession!!!

Gryphie's picture

Well.....

I play with my Wii fairly often.  But right now it's all games that I've downloaded.  I don't think I've played anything "new" in a while.

Good luck with the move.  I hate moving. lol

OH!!  And I'm getting an  XBox.  I'm actually rather excited about it... Even though there's still that little part of me that's afraid it's going to break before I even hook it up...

Wording

I've watched you broads for a while now, but this is my first comment, and I must say, it is a strange thing to watch you and not see my fantasy(all those games of course ;))

I'm totally feeling you on the wording. I've never played singstar but some rockband songs you can be singing along then its like woah buddy back it up where did those words come from.

Good luck on the move.

P.S. If you film is outside around the pool with the video games behind  you that would be encroaching on a whole other fantasy -whistles- just saying.
