Thanks for the review of the drums. I have the GHWT ones. I had to put tape on the censors as well but now they're working just fine and I can't stop playing ^^. It's a bit too noisy though. My girlfriend often complains about it. Do you have tips for that?I watched some videos on youtube and people had put socks on the pads, lol.

And dang, that Ion drum kit is $300.00.  I'm sure if I played Rockband I would want the best drum set -- But you know, I've never played Rockband.  I was so bad at Guitar Hero that it would just be depressing if I played Rockband.

i got an xbox 360 for christmas! i cant believe ive been living my life without one :D atm, im addicted to skate 2 and gta 4 although in december it was assassins creed all the way!

ps. being a drummer i have to say guitar hero drums are pretty close to the mark as in it feels like you are playing the actual drums. i refused to play for so long and then my gf convinced me to give it a go and ill admit it.. it was awesome!

I can't tell you how awesome it is to come home from work and find a new vlog waiting for me :D So the reason Tracy said she was going to get a tattoo of my gamertag because I was saving her from the zombies last friday was because you've been watching LA Ink?  Heh.  I thought that was a bit of an overreaction when a thanks would do!

I actually play the drums and I only have the rockband kit and it honestly don't bother me that much.  Not that those Ion drums don't look awesome, but I guess they cost a small fortune?  I'd either get confused by the extra stuff or just start playing my own thing and end up failing the song anyway, lol.

What did you guys think of Fable DLC?  I thought it was pretty cool if a little short, but it was nice to have a new place to explore.

Do you know when and if the ION drum kit will also be available for the PS2/3? I only found that for the XBox360. And since it's most likely that I'll buy the PS3 before I'll buy the Xbox360 I just wanted to be informed... ;) (And since I have all my Guitar Hero stuff for the PS2 I won't buy everything new for an uncertain Xbox purchase...)

Hello! Nice to see you back.

I've spent my 'break' catching up on some games thanks to my generous cousin lending me them (unlike me he can actually afford to be up to date with games). This means I've played through Bioshock (great, but I got a bit bored by the end, I must admit), and am currently playing Mass Effect which I LOVE.

I'm also incredibly amused, because the whole 'lesbian sex scene' (which I am trying shamelessly to get) is actually skirted around by the Asari character being monogendered. So if people insist on calling it girl on girl they really should ackowledge that if palying with a male Shepard makes it guy on guy. But then this is avoided again by everyone refering to Liara as 'she'. Plus she has boobs. But, still!

Obviously, this has nothing to do with anything in your vlog, I was just very entertained but the gender issues ME presents, and the fact that someone will no doubt write a paper on it at some point (if they haven't already).

ETA: Annnnnd I've now seen that you've addressed this a bit on Lesbian Gamers. Whoops.

midnight club looks amazing!!! i love me some sexy cars .. and the prospect of interior mods make me uber excited... and everybody knows neon under the chassi is necessary for maximum awesomeness lol  i will have to check this out.  im thinking it is definitely sounds like aTasha rating. its fast, sexy and a little badass.

Siren looks interesting. But I just played the demo for Resident Evil and was really excited about it after only a few minutes. Can't wait for it to come out. I've been wanting to get Midnight Club because of the fact that it does represent LA well and I like a lot of the songs just like with almost any Rockstar game.

I've bought almost every plastic guitar for guitar hero and rock band but I only have the rock band drums which are starting to fail me so I guess I have to start saving my money for the ion kit. Great review of all 3 sets and thanks for not even bothering with rock revolution.

And it plays well in the background with your video camera. Sweet! Yay for season 3!  Siren Blood Curse looks uber creepy, at least the trailer does.  I would give Midnight Club Los Angeles an L Word rating of Helena, season 6 only. Just because she is hot and fast and we have no idea where she is going.  Nice drum kit review!  Glad you ladies are back from your holiday break. Cheers.

Yay! You're back! I missed this vlog soooo much.  Luckily, zombie killing online helped ease the pain.

Boo, Siren is for PS3 :(  I enjoyed the first Siren, even though I never finished it, it was still fun. I've never been creeped out by a video game before, but the first Siren, hiding in a guard shack, I was scared.  Like a cat.  Or Louis.  Except without the shrieking.

Have you thought of doing a special about games that are good for travelling?  I've been doing a lot more travelling lately, and I've been trying to pick up some good DS games for the airport/airplanes.  I picked up a couple games in Edmonton and I picked up some in Halifax, but the ones I got in Halifax aren't so good for travelling.

It's great to see that you aren't affected by the cyclones and the flooding like some parts of Queensland. 

 

I've never commented on Gay Girls Who Game before, i hadnt even watched an episode until i watched the last episode of season 2 and than went back and watched the others which i'm still slowly getting through.

 

Siren: Blood Curse looks kind of scary, i played Silent Hill: Origins at night on my brother's PS2 during the holidays and it scared the living daylights out of me, i stopped playing it after that.

 

I recieved a ps2 for christmas and was wondering what are the best ps2 games to own?

I rented midnight club:LA when it first came out in north america.The difficulty of it was too severe (at the time I think they have patched it since then).The cpu drivers were too good and would avoid cars that they seemingly predicted coming.

If you are a fan of arcadey racing games I would definately recommend grid.The control is solid (especially for the drifting),the graphics are great (especially the crashes you will be angry that you crashed but in awe of how spectular it looked.).Grid doesn't have an open world but there is a good variety of events to compete in.Touge is actually similar to the canyon runs in need for speed carbon.

Have you two, downloaded the metal gear solid add on for little big planet?

I played Siren and thought it was pretty cool, way too short though but very freaky and cleverly done.

Ive been playing SILENT HILL: HOMECOMING woohoo its amazing the gameplay is fantastic, the graphics and sound are great and the storyline is awsome, bit too short though (maybe that was coz i played it nonstop over xmas), glad i got the american version as the UK version is having loads of content taken out of it, and looks like i got it just in time too, my mate tried to buy it from america last week but he couldnt get anyone to sent it over as the UK has apparenly banne it from entering the UK.

Been also playing the demo version of Resient Evil 5 which is obv amazing.

Midnight club was cool, looked amazing but i never won a race so i kinda gave up, maybe i need to get it out again.

Cant believe that drum kit, it looked great but i can imagine it being really expensive, i guess i gotta just stick to my crappy old ones lol.

You never told us what you got each other for xmas, get anything good?

I downloaded the Resident Evil 5 demo......................AWESOME!!!  can't wait til March.  Maybe you could do a theme of the evolution of the Resident Evil franchise or something.

I have been playing Resistance 2 and Fallout 3.  Can't seem to get engrossed in Fallout 3 though. 

Another awesome episode of reviews! Hope you guys had a great winter break and I'm looking forward to the RE5 Review. Can't wait to get me some more Series 3!

Welcome back ladies- I think many of us were going through withdrawal (and I am pretty sure you would have had a lesbian mutiny on your hands if you didn't post a vlog soon!).  Excellent Vlog, as always, and very entertaining.

I love the new intro- of course, I love anything that uses Zoey from Left 4 Dead :) I also enjoyed the new background, except that I was mesmerized by the spinning- it reminded me of the old movie Tron.

Thanks for reviewing the drum kits- I would love to get the Ion drum kit, but it's waaaay to expensive for my budget.  The second gen Rock Band drum kit (the one that came with Rock Band 2 for the Xbox) was pretty decent. It was sturdier then the original and was a lot quieter, so you didn't need to modify it.  

And thanks for playing L4D with us over the break- it was fun to get a couple of 8 person games going- even if you mocked my excel spread sheet- do you know how hard it was to figure out 6 different time zones so we could all play?  But I appreciate that you guys were willing to wake up and play at 9am your time (and for Han M to stay up and start playing at 11pm her time).

 Sadly I didn't get to play any new games over my holiday, and only just recently had time to sit down and finish Tomb Raider....  It sucks having two full-time jobs sometimes lol.

 I have actually had the opportunity to play around with that Ion drum kit and had a blast.   Sadly, it's more fun than my budget will allow.  Sigh... 

I missed you guys!  So glad to have you back. 

The Siren game looks very interesting, but I haven't seen it come in at work, so I may have to download that one.  I am not really into racing games unless it is burnout, but when we were shown the preview of midnight club early last year I thought it looked really cool.  Of course they hyped us up by showing the Bestbuy as one of the landmarks in the game.  I may pick it up when the price drops.

Glad your back.  Enjoyed the vlog very much.  I'm rather fuming about an Xbox 360 Live user, who proved you have to be careful who you trust, even in a world of games.  Xanadugrrl dealt with it also.  I'm still playing Left 4 Dead basically nonstop.  I've also started thru Half-Life2 and Fallout3 both for the 2nd time.  Enjoying them both again.  Thanks for the vlog and keep up the good work.

Great VLog... nice reviews... and games are being delayed = bad. Sims 3 being pushed back to june so that the lesser games have less competition... i hope they are at least adding content to compensate.

If you run out of stuff to talk about, maybe you should do a recap of the top 5 or 10 most addictive games you have ever played. I didn't take you seriously when you described puzzle quest but then i played the demo and wow... i will miss those hours.
