there is an english girl at my work, and she's been in scotland for years, and when she says 'wee' it sounds so weird.

i love love love Zelda. the phantom hourglass is the ONLY reason i wanted a ds! although zelda was delayed for about a year and a bit after i said i wanted a ds, and 10 months after i got my ds, the game was finally released! haven't played it in a good while, though.

after watching the ep when Tracy said mysims is a must, i decided to play it again, having only played it for 16 minutes when i got it!! now kinda hooked on it!! so thanks =D

i also have animal crossing, but i'm the same with it, not played it since i got it last year, so i might get playing it again.

see how much influence you both have over us?!

anyways, i have one more ep to catch up on and then i can look forward to the next season properly!!

You two made me laugh so much this week, this was a great season finale! My dad just got rock band and I'm already addicted but I'm at uni so I can only play it when I go home which sucks! I hope you have a great time snowboarding, I'm much more of a skier myself but just getting out and being on the slopes is awesome so I'm sure you will have a great time. Can't wait for season two!

Thanks for the suggestion on Rock Band or waiting for Guitar Hero World Tour.  I've been researching trying to figure out which I should get.  (I'm poor and can only afford one, not both)  So, I'll be patient and wait for Guitar Hero.

I ADORE the Star Wars Lego games (seriously it's one of my favs for my X-Box) so I'll deffo be getting the Indiana Jones Lego game too, just a matter of when & what console etc...in fact if/when you test it out on the DS could you give us a little mini review? Cos that would be a likely purchase for me but I've never bought one of the lego games for the DS so not sure if it's totally different to how it plays on the X-Box. I assume there are some differences of course but just how much of a difference...

Anyhoo loved the vlog as per usual...I totally agree that Rock Band/Guitar Hero should involve a bit more pop. I can totally see potential in some Britney songs there!

I've been playing this all week on the xbox 360. (Well that and Zelda: Twilight Princess on my new Wii.). I love it. I've never played Legos Star Wars (so I can't compare it to that) but I totally picked up the Star Wars reference. I do agree about frustration with depth perception.  I've had to do a few things several times because I thought it was here when it was THERE (well you all saw the cool *special effects* which comes over better than typing. haha) My uncle (my gaming buddy) and I have been going through it pretty fast so we're not picking up everything. I figure we can't anyway so we'll just go back later. I have actually gone back on a few things when playing by myself. We've gone through Temple of Doom and Raiders so far.

I can't wait for Lego Batman!

Anyway, awesome blog as always. Have a fun trip.

BTW- I agree you both look great in glasses. (Women in glasses is just....nice!)

So, recently I've gone and gotten addicted to the original Starcraft again, and there's been a lot of hype about sc2, and I relize you don't play pc games, but I was wondering if you had heard anything about it. I keep hearing differnt things "It's like wc3, it's like sc, its like WOW" so I was just wondering what y'all had heard, if anything.

This vlog was HILARIOUS!!! I loved it!!  You ladies are soooooooo adorable with your all-round geekiness.  Especially with the special effects and stunts :D.

The Alien head CD holder is definitely scary but very cooooool.

I played DS9: Harbinger too.  I liked this game but the part where you have to walk along some puzzle railings was a bit frustrating.

Glasses are definitely sexier ;).  Please wear them for the entirity of the next vlog :D.

I used to own lego star wars for GBA - but it was pretty easy - and it used to wind me up quite a bit too with that sort of lego game awkwardness.

My brother pre-ordered Metal Gear Solid 4 so I've been seeing bits of it here and there - the graphics are lush :) also there's Meryl who is a strong female character. Anyway it will be interesting to see what you make of it.

You mentioned in the vlog you might get Lego Indy on the DS.  If you do I would love to hear your views and basically how it may differ from the other versions.  Although to be honest I'm going to get it anyway so I don't suppose it really matters.

wii fit - you gave a shop in brisbane that has wii fit in stock, can i get the same thing for all of scotland please? lmao!! seriously, everywhere is sold out. even the usual online retailers are sold out. did they not make enough or is it just that popular?

gta 4 - i sometimes stop at the lights, too, but only to avoid crashing into a cop car. have only hit a few pedestrians, mostly just little bumps, but one was serious and omg, the noise it made reminded me of the time when i actually hit a pigeon, in real life. never forget that noise, and i was going to a Pink concert that night, and i was still a bit down when i got there!! talk about traumatic experience!!!

i started playing animal crossing on ds last night, after it being mentioned here again, i did the same with mysims last week. not that far into it yet, so can't really comment.
however, seeing as i buy games and either play them for half an hour or NEVER play them, or play them to the death (no rhyme nor reason with me), any time i hear a review on here, i get the game out and play it, lmao. so, if i give you a list of all my games, think you could review them?!?! hahahaha!!

rock band ps3 version isn't out in the uk yet, and i'm not sure when it will be out (if at all) but i just wanted to know if the guitar with it, is compatible with other games, namely guitar hero 3?

heavenly sword - i have a demo on ps3, which i've not actually tried yet (gta 4 got in the way of everything else, only got the ps3 in feb). however i did try the genji days of the blade and ninja gaiden sigma demos, and liked both, but would probably prefer to get ninja gaiden.
my question - which is better? ninja gaiden or heavenly sword? (assuming you've tried ninja gaiden, of course...) i'm so gonna have to try the heavenly sword demo myself!

the Pikmin games on gamecube are firm favourites of mine, do you think they'll ever make Pikmin for the wii, or even ds? i would LOVE that to happen!! there *may* be an announcement at E3 this year, but i won't hold my breath! if it is true, and there is going to be another game, i will definitely be first in the queue!!

I totally caved in and scraped my money together to buy rock band after I left my comment last week and now I can see what all the fuss is about.  :D  I think the guitar parts are easier than guitar hero even on the same difficulties, don't know if that's just me though.  I got stuck on the last tier of songs on hard in gh, but I can play a load of the rockband songs on expert.  

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs song is called "Maps" btw, I love it too.  I also downloaded "Date With The Night" from the Live store just cuz I love YYY so much.  And despite being able to play Maps on the actual drums I can only get 97% on expert, which is annoying me.

You're missing out on some great games by not playing PC games.  I'm just working my way through The Witcher at the moment which is an amazing adult fantasy RPG.  There was a rumour going round that they were porting it to the consoles and if they do you HAVE to get it.  It's got a great story and its really funny in places.  I tend to play FPS games on PC as well cuz I'm rubbish at aiming with a control pad for some reason.

I absolutely love the "Maps" song by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.  One of the songs I actually get 98% or better on when singing.  "In Bloom" by Nirvana is another favorite of mine.  I love your band name too.  It has a nice ring to it!

Great episode grrls, thanks for replying to my comment in such a thoroughly amusing manner...I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart! My name is actually taken from my favorite historical/literary character John Proctor from Arthur Miller's play "The Crucible" about McCarthyism and the Salem Witch Trials and of course shortened (lengthened?) to Johnny because I'm a twink and people seem to think that I bear a resemblance to Johnny Depp when out of drag (which I think must be a very slight resemblance since he's so hot and I'm so plain even when in drag). However I LOVE how people always seem to associate it with proctology because I'm all about the arse, a bit anal obsessed really. As a bit of an inside joke many of the doctors that are featured in anime and comedy shows are named Doctor Proctor...I've seen it in everything from Pokemon to a Mediocre Films rap video about proctology. Perhaps teaching is the wrong field for me (though proctor means teacher/examinor) and I ought to go into proctology instead, lol! Anyway, I myself have Rock Band on the PS2 which is kind of lame since it lacks many of the features of the next gen versions of the game. I'm seriously considering re-buying it for the Wii when it comes out later this month. My favorite song in the game is "Seven" by Vagiant, because as far as I know it's the first lesbian love song ever to be featured in a video game. I'm not a good singer, but I like to sing and play the bass on that one and always get over 90% on it. Vagiant is SOOO awesome, I ordered their album online and they sent me a free autograph! It's also cool that they got their songs on Rock Band and Guitar Hero 2 even though they're only a local band because they're on the Harmonix creative staff. I don't even like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but that darn song "Maps" keeps going through my head because I had to play/sing it a few times! Here I go rambling on again, I've made this comment far too long already...see you next episode! }:-P>

Great show, since the last few episodes I bought the wii fit and now eye balling Indiana Jones, but the new Batman does look awesome. MySims is awesome, I'm so addicted to my wii wii. Anyone looking forward to the new Ghostbuster game, this winter I believe. It'll be an awesome shooter.

Indiana Jones Lego is nice but I think you hit the nail on the head....star wars Lego was better in every single way...Its sad to see a good idea go bad after just a couple of  applications I mean how could they mess up one of the best characters...then again...maybe they saw an advanced showing of the latest movie and said the heck with it..

I can't wait to get the batman Lego how awesome is that going to be...I can finally combined 3 different geekdoms into one.... my childhood Lego lovin...my big comic lovin....and my gaming lovin...and its coming out around my birthday what a lovely present from Lego corp..

My girlfriend and I have been playing Indy Lego together and are totally loving it. The multiplayer option rocks and its cool to work together (most of the time!) and get thru the levels. Indy Lego broke our Lego cherry, so to speak, so once we've conquered Dr Jones and friends, we'll whip across to Lego Star Wars and then sabre along to Lego Batman.

Free play is great too as we can both be female characters for most of the time - naturally they can jump higher than any male! In fact, I'm nominating Willie and Elsa for a  Lesbian Gaming Tryst. I know they come from the same game, but that just makes them all the more worthy, I say!

 

Once again, excellent vlog ladies!

Tracy- your look of death still scares me, but don't think I didn't notice you looking off to the side of the camera when you were "remembering" all the screen names for viewer feedback! *runs and hides from the look of death*

It is very dangerous to go grocery shopping anytime after midnight- I always end up wandering in the electronics department and buying things that I don't need- especially accessories for my Ipod. After listening to everyone rave about Rock Band, I have decided to make the ultimate sacrifice and give up my movie-going habits for a few weeks so I can save up to buy the game- I hope it's worth it! (I love my movies, but I love good games more)

Angela- the alien head rocked, and I am very very jealous. And ABBA? Awesome. let's just say I will be the first in line to see Mama Mia on the big screen.

Indiana Jones Lego- It was a decent game, and being an IJ lover, I did enjoy the comic portions of the game. The depth perception was really frustrating at times, as I thought I was jumping to one place and ended up falling down to my death or something- not cool! But, I did go through the game a few times just to collect 100% of everything in the game.

Enjoy your vacation ladies- I just got back from my two week vacation so I know how relaxing they can be (and much-needed!)

I actually watched this a couple of weeks ago, so some random thoughts:

- It's great that you moved closer to the camera in this episode, and I think you should do that all the time. 

- Thanks so much for the shout out. I never expect it but always smile when you do. It's hilarious that you sang the James Bond theme when talking about me... I have been a life-long Bond fan, so thought it was totally cool. You are both such warm hosts and do a great job of making us feel included.  

- That Alien head was a sight to behold.  Awesome!

- Yay for lefty mode solving Angela's Rock Band problems.  It's great that you can play now.  And speaking of Rock Band, I ended up doing the "Marshmallow Mod" for my drums (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4-jH916Rb8), and it has worked out splendidly.  In fact, I have also done this for 3 of my co-workers and they joke that I am the office "drum tech".

- While you've been on hiatus, I have picked up both Lego Indiana Jones and a Wii.  I hope to spend time with both over this long holiday weekend. 

- I bought Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, which I enjoyed a lot more than I expected to.  (I like Aerosmith well enough but am not a super fan, plus the regular GH experience has dimmed for me somewhat since the introduction of Rock Band.)  I also picked up Guitar Hero: On Tour for the DS, which I didn't like as much as I wanted to.
