"Friday Night Lights" starts a new season on NBCSports fans are a dedicated bunch, which is why it doesn't surprise me that the football-based show Friday Night Lights has remained a hit, despite lagging between seasons. DirecTV users have been able to see all 13 episodes of Season 3, but the rest of us have been made to wait for the show's return to NBC, and it finally happens tomorrow night at 8 p.m. ET. One of the most exciting aspects of this season, for us here at AfterEllen.com, especially, is the addition of the new character Devin, a teenage indie-rock girl who is in a band with Landry.
She also happens to be gay. What will happen with the character of Devin? I'm not sure, as it is a show about football and doesn't focus too much on Landry's musical aspirations. And now that Devin has crushed Landry's crush by coming out, who knows if she will actually have much more screen time. The character and the actress who plays her (Stephanie Hunt) isn't even listed on IMDB, so I'm a little skeptical.
Will you be watching to find out what happens with Devin, if anything at all? Or perhaps you were already into the show for Minka Kelly.

This show is awesome
This is such a good show! If you have nothing better to do, you can watch all the episodes on hulu.com. Even if you're not into football, this show has phenomenal actors. And not to portray myself as a cougar seeker, but I watch this show for Connie Britton ;D

This show is really good and whenever I watch it I'm reminded of that, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I only tune in to see Lyla Garrity. Even her character's name is hot.
I'm one of those people who likes to believe that Lyla and Tyra "think" of each other in a more than friendly way. You can't ask for more than that on FNL, it's no Gossip Girl, where the characters clearly have a thing for each other.
I lost my point. Oh yeah, Minka Kelly. She's abnormally beautiful and I don't think she gets enough credit because of that. I'll give you credit Minka! Extra-credit in that cheerleader uniform!! (I'm sorry, I couldn't resist it)
BEST SHOW ON TV RIGHT NOW
Sure, Mad Men could give it some competition, but I really love FNL. And I connect to FNL on a much more emotional level. Even if you've never seen it, I really encourage you to tune in tomorrow. You may find yourself falling in love with the characters, the town, and Connie Britton/Addriene Palicki/Minka Kelly.
just one nitpick--I didn't read the earlier blog post about the new lesbian character cause I want to be spoiler-free. This post delved into some stuff that will happen this season--Landry forming a new band, the character Devin. (Although I may be sensitive, because I accidently read a sentence about the season finale which was not spoiler marked on a website completely unrelated to FNL or scripted TV at all, for that matter. How could I see it coming?) Anyway, for me watching TV isn't just aboutnot having the last 5 minutes ruined, but really enjoying the whole experience of knowing only as much as the show tells me.
