Ellen Page voices tween pop star Alaska Nebraska on "The Simpsons"

The Simpsons writers have been focusing a lot on Lisa this year, and she's been one lucky girl. Not only has she shared a Heavenly Creatures-esque friendship with a pal voiced by Emily Blunt, but on this week's episode, she was able to get up close with tween pop singer Hannah Montana Alaska Nebraska, whose voice you surely recognize as that of actress Ellen Page.

After working on the show, Yeardley Smith (who voices Lisa) interviews Ellen about her experience, playing someone who is "mean to Lisa Simpson."

OK, it's a little gushy about The Simpsons, as Page admits she's a "massive fan" of the show, but I appreciated when she actually talked about herself and how she loves to "roller derby" ever since filming Whip It!.

I always enjoy watching interviews like this, between people who just finished working together and are trying to relate on a normal level (as normal as possible while on camera, anyway). And after watching her be so gracious and composed yet funny and cool, I have to admit my Ellen Page crush is officially in full effect.

    How could you not have a crush on Ellen Page? She is so cute and she seems to be in everything that I like! I love the simpson, Juno is one of my fav movies, I am a roller derby super fan and I'm a huge XMen fan so her being in The Last Stand sealed the deal for me!

    I use to be a hardcore fan of the show, but....Family Guy took over, haha! Wow. Ellen Page. I'm going to marry her someday.

    I found it weird seeing the clip of her, all I could hear was Ellen Page, not 'Alaska Nebraska'. 

    The woman who voiceovers Lisa seems so sweet!

    sweet...possibly...brainwashed scientologist....definately

    i just couldnt watch the show anymore because as much as i love lisa and her activism..i just refused to support anything that has such a shady undertone like scientology does.

    I don't think Yeardly Smith is a Scientologist. (I share your sentiments about that particular group)  Nancy Cartwright, who voices Bart, is. (Disappointed me a little bit)

    It's so nice to see someone who is as successful as any of the other actresses, but doesn't seem so.. "fake"? Ellen Page doesn't necessarily fit all the stereotypes of a highly hyped actress such as Jessica Alba or Scarlett Johansson, but she probably gots more talent and devotion to her work than those girls. And it's really good to see someone so out of stereotype to be so successful. props to you, girl! And I will eat my bra if she's straight. ;D

    I remember seeing this episode and thinking... Ellen Page should do voice recordings for audio books! LOL! xD It'd make reading a lot more interesting... in a provocative level since she's so cute... Gosh, that voice. I love it. ;D Ha! I would be hearing her audio book voice reading The Bible, or something, and get a kick out of it. xD

    I like Ellen Page's voice too. It kinda reminds me of the time I had worked at the carnival cruise lines since the girl manning the booth sounded just like her.
