Ella makes out with a fox on "Melrose Place"The best thing about Melrose Place is Ella Simms.
I'm not just saying that because she's bisexual (or "trysexual," depending on who you ask), but because she's the only interesting character on the show who makes the vapid dialogue and recycled plotlines entertaining. And, sure, Katie Cassidy is pretty easy on the eyes.
So far this season, Ella hasn't done much more than flirt and share a short kiss — until last night's episode. The publicist, whose "life is [her] Blackberry," makes work her priority but isn't respected by her boss Amanda Woodward (Heather Locklear). In last night's episode, "Cahuenga," Ella throws a press event/party for Riley's new modeling gig, and talent agent Melissa Sax tries to woo Ella away from Amanda and her job at WPK. At the bar, Ella first notices Melissa's ring ("The new Judith Leiber.") She stops for a moment when she notices the woman attached to the ring.
"Parting gift from the ex," Melissa says, with her British accent. "She threw it at me on her way out the door." She introduces herself, and Ella admits to knowing who she is: "Your photos are all over Variety, along with your reputation." "I've been trying to catch your eye all night," Melissa says. "Well you've got it now," Ella replies. They briefly exchange some quips about Ella working as a junior agent, and Melissa telling Ella she thinks she'd look "pretty hot in a corner office." She then caresses Ella's arm and says, "From my research, I'd say you're quite the people person. Why don't we find somewhere quiet to discuss your career?" Ella quickly surveys the room to see Amanda and Riley both in conversations, so she takes off to a corner with Melissa, where they start making out.
All is going well, until they actually start to talk about Ella's career again. Ugh.
In between kisses, it becomes clear that Melissa wants Ella to come work for her, but Ella isn't into it, despite "this definitely being fun." She takes off to find Riley. Later in the evening, Amanda approaches Melissa and thanks her for coming.
"I gave her the apple but she didn't take a bite," Melissa says. Amanda set Ella up, but sees she was able to resist the charm of a hot lesbian. Damn. Good for you, Ella — don't get lured away by the promise of sex and the smell of another femme's fragrance. But when are you actually going to take part in some sort of physical interaction or emotional connection with someone on the show? All your castmates are doing it! I was happy to see this
I was happy to see this sceen take place mainly because I thought they wrote out the fact that Ella was bisexual.

NOT AT ALL.
this was the best lesbian make-out scene that i've seen on TV. (in my opinion, anyway.)
although, in the future it would be great to see Ella actually have a girlfriend.
it's weird though, i can picture ella making out with people but i can't actually picture her with someone. who can handle her? lol
she is definitely the best character on melrose.

Yeah ... it was great to see her have some interaction with a woman (who was also hot by the way). Although it was a lil disappointing that it was a set up. Ella is by far the most interesting character on the show. Such a BITCH and I LOVE IT!!!

Ok, Am I the only one hoping something happens between Ella and Heather Locklear's character?
Oh and it was great scene and kiss, with surprisingly no hype, that I was aware of.

and why would you say that we are in the girl on girl hyped days? i think its wonderful that it's actualy on tv, finaly! .. i dont know anyone who doesnt have a gay person in their circle.., family, teacher, friend, ... so its only normal that its on tv, .. even though this isnt "reality" tv, they do try to make a show where you can at least relate to one person. so its only normal that there is one bi/gay person on a show. not hyped... taken out of the real life. trying to make it less hyped... less "weird", less "crazy", less "wrong"... if its on every show, it must be "normal".....

if you saw tounge! i swear i did last night! and i swear melissa looks like jessica stroup. i love this show so much. it gets better and better every episode. way better than 90210, which is getting worse every episode. there's only so much of dixon whining like a little girl that i can take. please cw don't cancel this

Ellla is the most fun to watch because you never really know what shes going to do next ( make out with a hot strange women out of the blue )....BUT her bff/ roommate, that doubles as a high class hooker ( if thats even possible ) is SUPER SEXY...she is the ONLY reason I watch the show. However they have done a decent job on the recycled Melrose 1990's plot...And Ashley Simpson is really good at playing a creepy/crazy...seriously that girl frightens me...

I flipped to Global (the Canadian channel it was on Wednesday night) by total accident -- and all I see is these two kissing and O.M.G... no, make that O.M.F.G! That was HOT!
I've watched the show a few times out of boredom so I was aware that they had a "try-sexual" female character, but YOWZAH! That had to be one of THE hottest girl-girl kisses I've seen on tv.
And she played "Bev" in "Lez Girls"? Geez, kudos to Cristina for catching that!

I havn't seen this prog, but I saw Katie Cassidy on Supernatural, where she made me have to watch all her scenes at lest 3 times just to get the vague grasp of what was happening!! The screen shots look hawt!!
I think it was nice to see a same-sex loving person (easier than a lable which I'll probably get wrong haha) get the moral high-ground (as much as can be on a tv show) as she didn't go behind her boss's back just for sex or anything. Maybe I'm giving the writters too much credit...who knows! Bottom line, she is SO hot! haha
