I've been thinking exactly what you said about storylines in the show being deliberately writen for the straight male audience. They can get their viewing on any other show out there and IC chooses to make the ONLY lesbian show on TV include content for them. Thanks for calling her out on it.

This is supposed to be our show and our stories being represented (for once). I want me some girl on girl realistic action happening - we only have a few measly shows left and please lord make it not all about Shenny urk.

You are so right about the Jodi scene... I love MM, but a lesbian? - please. I've never bought it. She kisses like a goldfish. I saw that s4 promo appearance on Youtube where she was teasing J Beals about kissing and JB just turned around and said "Yeah but I had to teach you to kiss with tongue"... 1) Daaamn. 2) WTF are they thinking employing an actress who can't use her tongue to play a lesbian?!!!

We got "blue balled" (in Max's words) twice this episode. The two potentially hot sex scenes involving the sane couples barely lasted a minute! Sex in a Mini - cut. Then a throw down clothes flying begining chopped the minute they hit the sheets!

Now we have little Miss Saved By The Bell again for the straight guys. Girls you are speakin my thoughts when hit on the lesbian viewers not buying for a second that Bette Porter would be left for that cardboard cutout.

Bette pissed me the Hell off in this episode.  Why did it really take her an hour and a half to introduce Tina?  Why did she correct that heffa when she said "Bette got over me in 2 minutes."  Bette - "10."   What?  Heffa what?!?!!  For real?  I mean you just gonna make sexy eyes and reminisce with your ex over how long it too you to get over her RIGHT in front of ya Baby Momma.  Wow. 

Bette's got some  .... damn Oxycotin type addictive couchie.  Has to.  Cause had it been me?!  lawd.  my pressure.  Let me stop.  moving on.

Alice had her moments.  She was cute in some scenes ... others she was almost unbearable.  How do you fix your mouth to say "Do a twirl!!"  to someone like Tasha?  Really Alice? 

And another thing.  Whas up with the "Surprise! I'm broke." friends?!  lol  When Jenn said "She knew where we was goin', why she bring $20?"  omg.  that hit a nerve.  I hate that!  Let me know AHEAD of time!  They are the ones that STAY on the phone tryin' to find out where everybody goin!  Never wanna drive! ("Cause they ain't got no gas.")  Come to your house and wanna wear your cloths!  (B*%&  get out my closet!!)  Wanna play in ya M.A.C!! And get to the club and stay till 8 in the morning!

OMG i totallly agree. It seems like for the longest time Kit has not had a good storyline. Its sooo frustrating that the only words she said for practically ALL OF SEASONS 3-5 was Baby girl, O my god Girl, o no girlllll. LIke thats what all black actresses say all day everyday and now poor Helena is falling into the same black hole with her story and life revolving around that HIT club. But anyways enough bout that

ON to Jenn, I keep hearing you talk about TASHA's laugh which i think is hilarious. I thought it was a lil annoying at first TOO but now it just sounds infectious, it makes me laugh when i hear it and for some reason it makes her seem even HOTTER. TO ME ANYWAYS. AND i wish Alice could learn to shut up andJenny could hurry up and die

haha... always fun to watch... and I totally agree with everything you say. The continuity of the L word is awful... and its so true that it has turned into a man's fantasy. I live in Brighton... gay capital of the UK and in NO club that I go to are there just fems... plenty of them, but they're balanced by the 'butch' lesbians... so the L word has gone very wrong with that

and Alice calling out about Helena's kids... brilliant. she was VERY irritating in this episode, especially in the therapy session, but she makes up for it with that line, and it wouldn't have been delivered as well by any other character

as for Jenny and Shane... im with you guys on that too, the less said the better, cos it is just wrong!

Next thing you know L Word fans will be wearing "I killed Jenny" T-shirts. I'd get in on that.

Jenn, your British accent needs a little work, but it's damn funny. You mention tea alot. Tea has been replaced by Redbull for the younger generation.... doesn't sound stereotypically British and I don't think it would facilitate your impression, but I'm keeping you up with the times here.... :-)

Everytime you ladies do a vlog, Stewie is sitting on one of your laps, there'll be no other dog in Atlanta who knows more about the L Word than Stewie!

What the hell was Tina wearing in the art gallery? I thought she looked pregnant. If you're gunna wear that dress, also wear a bag over your head because the only way you can wear an outfit like that is if you're seen dead in it. PUHLEASE!

The fuzz on Max's face? There really are no words. None. Nada.In fact, Max is obscelete. His character has never been useful and I'm not sure how well he portrays transgendered people either. Hmm.

If I mention Shenny I'll regurgitate Redbull.

Sorry Jenn, but Tasha's laugh is endearing. It's hearty and sincere, which makes Rose Rollins that much more attractive. If Dee doesn't wanna marry me, I'll settle for Rose and her laugh any day.

I'm sure I had more to say, but remembering it would be helpful.... pfft. Anyway, brilliant vlog, ladies. Fun to watch, as always.

I called this whole Shenny thing last year when they were sitting on the sofa smoking after nikki refused to walk out with jenny. Nobody wanted to believe me... like they would do something so disgusting... Yeah well here they go.

I also have a problem with Tasha wardrobe up until now.  Black bois know to dress and even if it just a tshirt...it will be bangin.  Why did Tasha have to look like a damn country bumpkin that need Alice to dress her? also how can Alice's charachter be so oblivious to the type of woman she is dating. "twirl"?  Are you serious?

I was glad to see in the preview of next week everone busting out laughing that shane and jenny are together. But this is no laughing matter. 

I love listening to your perspective on the L Word...almost as much as I love the menagerie going on around you!  (And I have a huge crush on Jenn, so there are a lot of reasons to watch)

Anyway, I'd like to comment on why all the lesbians are femme on this show.  (And why I like it!).  If I want to see normal lesbian life, I will go out to the local lesbian bar and watch all the women with short hair and baggy jeans play pool and drink beer.  What makes the L-Word great is that it is F-A-N-T-A-S-Y. 

Secondly, after going to the Dinah in Palm Springs last year, um....there are a lot of femme lesbians in the LA area.  Most of the ones I met were from LA metro area and they represented a healthy chunk of the clientele at the Dinah.  And they were somewhat well-to-do. 

I don't know...just my two cents.  If lesbians wanted to watch a show about "real" lesbians, Exes and Ohs would actually have a measurable viewership.  I, for one, want to see the fantasy. 

I absolutely love you two. lol You guys were spot on with everything that happened. All of it hilarious.

you girls are so right.  it seems every1 is annoying and acting out of character, esp. alice.  she just can't shut up.  but you're right that she did get in one good line about them kids.  it was so funny seeing alice tryin' to be all tough talking to dylan.  i was like, 'alice shut up and sit down cuz you're not making any sense.'  

i feel bad for pam grier.  the lines that she has to say have been getting progressively worse.  i mean who could forget seasons 4 and 5 where all her lines were 'girl this or baby girl that.'  i get that she's more of a supporting character, but damn give her something better to work with.

i was pissed off when max found out he was pregnant.  it's like c'mon IC & Co, are you really that lazy and out of new ideas that you had to rip from the headlines?  Really?!  a thomas beady storyline, REALLY?!  and about max's beard, that's nasty.  IC is definitely trying too hard to get ppl to see that daniela sea is a dude.  it's basically, "i am man, see beard?  me, man."

thanks for the entertaining vlog.  you girls are a riot.  "one, two, three...tornado!"  "osama bin laden!"  "rock, paper, scissors, tuberculosis."  LMAO

I laughed so hard when Jen said that. I've been contemplating registering on AE for awhile now, but after watching this vlog and hearing Jen say that one line,  I knew I had to sign up just to let both of you know that you rock. I haven't laughed that hard in awhile.

Thank you Dee and Jenn for doing this TLW season 6 review. I'm sorry it is not living up to its expectations so far. I haven't see episode two yet, but I get a well and thorough review by you two.

   Thanks for the clip of Tascha rockin' it out in her suit-sizzlin hot. I figured Jenny would come up with a scheme like that in getting Shane back.  I'm disappointed in Shane. I was hoping she'll change her salacious ways  especially after the drama she has been thorugh and looks like she's still going through with womyn.  

  I've never liked Tina b/c she never stood up and fought for her womyn. She should checked Elizabeth Berkley's character on bringing up the past about Bette especially when she and Bette are like wifeys.

    And Dee you look good in hoop earrings!

This episode, I agree, has got to be the most segmented. There was alot going on! First off, Max getting pregnant is sooo playing off of a man getting pregnant, but come on, she doesn't know after 5 months, would taking all that T make a difference in the development of the baby (i know i deviated and went a lil deep than neccessary). Then there is the shrink visit...Alice completely took over and was very annoying. Hey! If they're happy, I'm happy. Then there was the whole bette, tina, and other girl episode.I agree, Tina is Bette's ride or die chick (lol). But overall, what took the cake was Jenny and Shane. I was so upset at the scen, WHY! *exits*

I laughed sooo much during this. After the infuriating trainwreck that was episode 2, you guys were a much needed breath of fresh air.

You guys need to get your own show, cus you are two damn cute and funny.

Oh yeah and I agreed with pretty much everything you guys said but I have to specifically reiterate how damn hot Tasha was in that suit! Lord have mercy! Thanks for replaying those shots of her at the Planet. Mmm. Mmm.

We may disagree on the laugh, but at least there's a consensus that Tasha looked pretty damn hot in that suit. Too bad Alice ruined an otherwise delicious moment by asking her to turn around...

While I'm on the subject of Tasha and Alice, am I alone in thinking that Dan Foxworthy pulled out some reverse psychology on them? It seemed to me like he knew exactly what buttons to press to make Tasha and Alice truly recommit themselves to fixing their relationship.  

As for the rest of it, I'm trying not to get too worked up about TLW anymore--even the Shane and Jenny pairing is meeting with more indifference than disgust. It's almost over...

Pecola, I kind of had the fleeting thought that Dan was trying some pyschology voodoo on Tasha and Alice. It would certainly make them want to prove him wrong and make more of an effort to find the good in their relationship, which they have been, even with Alice having moments of inappropriate outbursts.

Had Jenn and Dee done the gay slang 101 there wouldn't have been such a funny ending to the vlog, and honestly, who can continue with rational thought when having to figure out the Shenny pairing? That's some twisted sh*t, really.

this vlog was hilarious. and i agree this episode was total bullshit. bette openly fliriting with some woman in front of tina when they just got back together was absurd and playing with fire. i do have to disagree about elizabeth berkley, though. i think she's hot. maybe not as hot as sarah shahi, but definitely better looking then tina. alice and tasha have nothing in common but i still like them as a couple. and i have never in my life seen a woman look so damn good in a suit. the only thing that would have made it look better was if she wore a tie. alice has become extremely irritating and i totally agree about her clothes, she never wears anything that fits her properly.and thanks for referencing the personality transplant they gave to helena to make her more sympathetic. when she first came on the show, that woman was a bitchy snob. as for jenny and shane, that shit was sacriligeous. i mean what the hell? this is not shane. shane would never screw her friends, literally and figuratively. she would have never had sex with a friend's gf nor would she have sex with a friend. the whole storyline is ridiculous. i'm really disappointed that this is what the last season is gonna be.
