This week on All Access Pass, Andrea talks to accomplished writer/director/producer Lee Rose. Lee talks about being an out lesbian in Hollywood and her work in gay-themed movies including The Truth About Jane, A Girl Thing, An Unexpected Love and A Mother's Prayer.
Lee also shares her experience in directing friends like Stockard Channing, what it was like directing Elle Macpherson and Kate Capshaw in their love-making scene and what Kate's husband, Stephen Spielberg, said about it. All Access Pass: Lee Rose

What a wonderful woman
Thanks for this interview. I never realized Lee Rose was such a wonderful woman.

Who doesn't have a blog these days?
eurOut for all your European queer needsA Brilliant Meeting of Minds
Just last night I watched "An Unexpected Love," one of many Lee Rose films in my collection. Even if a project of hers doesn't "sing" in every possible way, there is always something in it worth viewing, be it the script, a certain actress, the quality of direction. I had never seen Lee interviewed, so this was a real treat. These little segments wind up being quite revealing. Her tough confidence, savvy and honesty came through. I hope Lee might one day invite Margie Adam over to play her piano. Margie is one of the world's most gifted pianists. Google her, if you're not familiar with her recordings! And praise must also go to Andrea. I look forward to all of her interviews (and other projects too). As for Lee, she makes the work seem effortless, but her questions are always perceptive. She holds together the conversation, while still allowing the subject freedom. Hard to do. Two brilliant women here. Thanks to you both.
Love Lee Rose's Movies
I always give props to Lee Rose, because I grew up in a place where Lifetime is about the gayest content you could get. Movies like The Truth About Jane and An Unexpected Love make a real difference there.
Thanks to Andrea for the interview.
