I absolutely adore her and her beautiful voice. Both her and Sade have the most beautiful silk voices ever with soul toching music and lyrics. I'm so glad Andrea you interviewed a pioneer.

Phenomenal

k.d.'s concert is a MUST SEE. I got to see it in austin this past week when i was shooting Andrea's vlog. I've been a fan of k.d's music for many years but hearing her powerful, soul stirring voice in person made it one of my favorite concerts ever. Even some of the people in attendance that had been to her past concerts commented this was the best one ever. If you have the opportunity to go to one of her remaining shows, you will not be disapointed. The crowd was so moved by her and the energy in the room was electrifying. I am definitely going to go see her again when she comes to Long Beach.

i was at that london concert

i went to the concert that they filmed in london in January of this year. it was my first time seeing her and it was amazing!  the energy was great and i've never seen so many lesbians in one room before!

Because i enjoyed the january concert so much i booked to see her again when she toured the UK over the summer. i took my aunt with me and she was petrified. She's had a harder time with me being gay than my other family members and for some reason has an irrational fear of lesbians, thinking they're going to hit on her or judge her in some way. After she got over her nervousness she really really enjoyed the concert, which was even better than the london one as kd seemed to have sooo much energy! it was so great to share kd's music with my aunt and hopefully cure her lesbo-phobia!!

Nothing's picture

I've never seen an interview with KD before.

Nor, have I ever read one about her.  She seems to be a level headed person.  There's a reassuring calmness about her.  It was very cute the way she blushed when asked about working with Cindy Crawford.  I agree completely with the no shoes thing.  If I could, I wouldn't wear them to work.  But, gotta protect the tootsies.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the Long Beach show this year.  Maybe next.  I can't wait til school's finished and I can start socializing again.

kd lang!

I flew halfway around the world this year to catch her live, and those thousands of dollars were completely worth it. I honestly didn't expect her performance to be so ridiculously flawlessly perfect - no one sings live the way kd lang does.

It's really great to see an interview from her, she doesn't do too many of them or get much face time on television, for which I completely respect. It gets tiring to see celebrities and singers stick their mugs all the time on tabloids and newspapers. kd lang's a musician before a celebrity, and I love that.

Wow she has such a humble,

Wow she has such a humble, calm, unassuming energy.

I actually have a free ticket to go see her with my landlady this weekend, but I don't think I can go - damn you law school!

Blown away by KD Live

I've caught both the Hymns and Watershed tours when KD has brought them down under.

Absolutely, friggin amazing is the only way to describe seeing her live.  I thought seeing her front row with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra on her Hymns tour would be hard to beat, but Watershed was utterly fantastic too.

The thing which is immediately apparent from seeing her live is the immense power of her voice, something which isn't necessarily conveyed by a studio album from any artist.

Truly a magnificent performer.
