The power of T

You are about to learn a precious secret. No, not The Secret, or whatever self-help magic is making somebody else rich today. This secret will help you get to know a woman quickly, accurately and without pretense. It will give you the insight of a dozen deep conversations at a glance. And it's as easy as one, two, tee.

Yes, the only thing more revealing than a woman's T-shirt is, well, a woman without a T-shirt. But that's a different post. Alyson Hannigan's rubber ducky tee was a gift from John Ritter after he guest-starred on Buffy. Needless to say, Hannigan treasures it.

Hannigan is one of 15 celebrities pictured in EW.com's "15 Stars In Their Favorite T-shirts." You can see Portia de Rossi in her prophetic Iggy shirt in the latest Best Lesbian Week Ever.

Chloë Sevigny is adorable most of the time, but in her Groucho tee, she's irresistible. As if we would ever even think of resisting.

An EW photo editor gave Jane Krakowski the shirt off his back during a 30 Rock photo shoot. She couldn't seem to remember why.

Tina Fey loves this Who shirt that used to belong to her brother. According to Fey, "I was never the most knowledgeable Who fan, but I'm a big fan of my brother." Lucky brother.

My favorite T-shirt? I got it for my birthday a few weeks ago from a couple of friends who said, "This shirt is you." They were right.

    My favorite shirt says I Pee in Pools.  What does that say about me?  Of course, I don't even like swimming in pools, and I don't like hot tubs either.  Hmm...my t-shirt lies, but I love it.  In fact, I'm wearing it right now.

    My folks're programmers, and they've been on the internet since before it was the internet. Specifically, they were on a newsgroup about the Grateful Dead when a limited number of shirts were sold to the members of that newsgroup. Picture of a skeleton using a computer and a caption "NETHEAD" -- only a small number of people ever had them.

    My parents both handed theirs down to me. They're my absolute favorite shirts, now. Though if I ever actually get that "nobody knows I'm gay" shirt I keep thinking I might buy, they may have competition....

    ...but I think I'll have to go with "The right man in the right place is often a woman". My aunts (my dad's little sisters) gave it to me years ago, and told me they'd seen it and thought of me. And then they snickered at my dad. Of course, now I wonder if they were trying to tell me something (realistically; they were probably just being feminists), but I still like the shirt very much.

    And I concur, there are not words to express "how freaking cute" Alyson is.  I can't stop smiling at that picture.  I need to print it and hang it on my classroom cabinet door.  That way when I need a smile I can open the door and take a gander at her.

    I am a t-shirt whore.  I'm not sure I can pick a favorite.  A couple on the top of the list this year are my "Where the Wild Things Are" T, my Dixie Chicks concert T, and my newest edition a Transformers T.

    I'm a brand whore so it's only normal that my fav tshirt says abercrombie and the numer 11 below it, I like it coz I was born november 11th, so I consider it to be my lucky number :)

    p.s. that's not my only favorite tshirt, but it's means more to me than the others :P

    My uncle works in a independent sports warehouse and in the warehouse he customizes uniforms. So one day when I went to visit him surprised me with a shirt with my last name and 89 on the back. 89 is the year i was born. I used to wear it all the time and my friends would joke that the name is on the back so i don't get lost. sadly its too small for me but i still have it hanging in my closet.

    My favourite T-shirt is own made, or more likely, own printed. Even though it doesn't really fit, or it has really lame color, I still love it. It has kittenboard's logo (the kitten, the witches and the bad wardrobe) on the front, on another sleeve "Team Tara" and on the back "Can we just skip it?", "Vixen", "Extra flamey candle" and "Hello, gay now". I wonder how folks usually guess I'm huge Willow/Tara-fan....

    Aww, how cute Alyson and Chloe can be? Too cute for words

    omg. I have the same shirt in red but I got it at a salvation army for like $2 when I was in desperate need of a tshirt and had no money. I love it because it's nice and worn and it hangs very nicely on me, but I hate it too because I'm NOT a brand whore.

    Also, I thought this was going to be about Helena Peabody! lol

    By far, my favorite T-shirt is my Flaming Tsunami's shirt. The Flaming Tsunami's are a skacore band that absolutely rock, and the shirt is maroon with orange lettering and zombie faces!

    We stocked up on clothes when I went home to America last month, and picked up this shirt, among others (I'm from Maryland, if that helps the image any):

    Looks great with khaki cargos too. :) It's my favourite recent shirt, because I can never pick favourites or they change a few times a day.

    okay, so this isn't my fav. t-shirt, but it comes in a close second, i know it makes me a geek but i'm proud of that  

    my fav. t-shirt is an old slipknot tee(okay i know it's not that old but it looks it, with holes in it and now a faded black)
