Our favorite characters give thanksSince we told you what characters we’re grateful for this year, we decided to see if any characters had their own expressions of thanks to share with us. Sure enough, Fox was one step ahead of us, having already asked some of its main characters for input (with a little help from writers of the series). Here are what some of or favorite fictional females had to say: Dr. Gillian Foster, Lie To Me "I am thankful that I'm single again and that Lightman got some much-needed vacation time in Mexico. I also feel really bad for all the turkeys. Does anyone need a date for Thursday night?" Ria Torres, Lie To Me "I am thankful that I'm no longer working at the airport, where I was used to spending Thanksgiving weekend telling people to remove their smelly shoes and strip-searching potential terrorists." Sue Sylvester, Glee "I'm thankful for bamboo's durability and resistance to splintering, making my ‘discipline cane' the perfect teaching tool." Dr Temperance Brennan, Bones "I am thankful for the Thanksgiving tradition of splitting the Furcula. The Furcula being the wishbone, of course." Angela Montenegro, Bones "I am thankful that my office is far enough away from the forensic platform that I don't have to smell corpses all day." Agent Olivia Dunham, Fringe "I am thankful that scotch exists." Of course, once characters from other networks got wind of Fox’s coup, they pitched in with their own Thanksgiving thoughts (with a little help from us). Leslie Knope, Parks and Recreation “I’m thankful for Iowa.” Liz Lemon, 30 Rock “I’m thankful for the classic stylishness of bi-curious shoes.” Dr. Arizona Robins, Grey’s Anatomy “I’m thankful that you can’t pray away the gay.” Dr. Erica Hahn, Grey’s Anatomy “I’m thankful that Dr. Maggie Doyle was waiting on the other side of the parking lot.” Veronica Palmer, Better Off Ted “I’m thankful that I am straight only on camera.” And, courtesy of StuntDouble: Serena van der Woodsen, Gossip Girl “I am thankful for magic cleavage that can be framed as a rhombus with the correct neckline.” Blair Waldorf, Gossip Girl “I am thankful for the original Thanksgiving tradition of oppressing people who have less money and gunpowder than you.” Do your favorite TV characters have an attitude of gratitude? What are they thankful for? Submitted by on November 25, 2009 - 3:00pm. |
