Mary-Louise Parker’s nudity is nothing to sneeze atFinally, a reason to celebrate allergies.
Responding to a recent interview in More magazine that gave the impression that Mary-Louise Parker is bitter about having to do a nude scene last season in Weeds, she told TV Guide: If you know me, it's like, someone sneezes and I take my clothes off. I'm naked in Esquire in August. I was naked on the set the other day. I'm always naked. I'm naked right now, in fact.
Bless you. Actually, the bathtub scene (NSFW) in question was one of the strongest in Season 4, because we finally saw Parker’s Nancy Botwin struggling with who she’s become and what she has exposed her family to. The nudity was both symbolic and essential, IMO.
No word yet on exactly how much we’ll see of Nancy in Season 5 of Weeds. But when the smoke clears Monday on Showtime, she has a lot to hash out. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at what’s coming. An early review from Buzz Focus suggests we may see return to a more comedic Weeds this year, which I hope is true. Things got pretty dismal last season. (If you need a quick refresher, Showtime has a Season 4 recap “in the time it takes to toke on a very long bong hit” here.) The show is at its best as a satire, focusing on the eccentricity of its main characters.

Great Show! BUT...
Am I the ONLY person that misses Conrad and Haylia (ok I HAVE NO IDEA how to spell her name)?!? That actually really bummed me out when they left!! I LOVED what was happening with Conrad and Nancy...:-(

Will I watch?
Yes. I've been waiting, but as I said on another post related to the show, I thought the last season went way too far off the scale (specifically off Nancy's own moral barometor), and I had to mute through Doug and especially the brother-in-law's (obnoxious) scenes...
That photo of MLP on the sofa does give the impression that she is frightened (of perhaps slipping off, yes...) I really don't understand why she does pose nude if she doesn't want to. She certainly doesn't need to because she gets everything about her across without the skin.
What do I wish to see this season? That the initial essence of the show returns. More Celia and Nancy as friends. Less male obnoxiousness. And bye-bye to Mexican Mafia Boyfriend.

However, I'm ridiculously excited for Weeds to start up again! I dug the last season despite the seriousness. Which really actually makes sense considering the subject matter; I think they managed to still keep it funny and they definitely managed to keep it entertaining. One character I could do without is Silas because I irrationally hate that douche bag. But Doug and Andy are awesome!
They could not have picked a better Nancy Botwin, Mary Louise Parker is total win in everything she does.
