Kyra Sedgwick dances for OJ

Far be it from me to try to influence your selections in the AfterEllen.com 10 Hottest Women Over 40. The fact that Kyra Sedgwick, the object of this post, is a very hot 43 is pure coincidence.

What is not a coincidence is that Sedgwick is the new face of Trop50, Tropicana’s new light orange juice, so soon after she and hubby Kevin Bacon fell victim to Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scheme to the tune of $50 million.

This is Sedgwick’s first-ever national ad campaign, a multimillion-dollar product launch that seems to be appearing everywhere.

We don’t know whether Sedgwick would be a part of the campaign if she’d never met Madoff. We do know this: Kyra is hot in this commercial. Very, very hot.

Now that is a closer.

Since we are a full-service website, I will answer the question that those of you who can dance in four-inch heels may have. The shoes are Ovine Wedges by Maison Martin Margiela, available at Saks for $895. Hey, some people pay rent; others buy shoes.

Me, I’m buying orange juice. Maybe it will make me flexible enough to ask Kyra to, um, dance.

    does it seem like Sarah Haskins would have an easy time picking apart this ad? reminds me of that oreo cakester commercial where all of the women are running after the truck to get their chocolate fix. or am I just being too nitpicky?

    It's not just you. I'd love to see Sarah have a go at it. The lyrics to "She's a Lady" are awful! I just decided to focus on the hot and let deeper minds do the analysis. :)

    what a good ad..

    i don't know if anyone remembers an advert that was on a while back, can't remember what for but it was a woman dancing around the kitchen and she walked straight into an open cupboard door, such a funny ad. This reminded me of it! haha

    sarah haskins was my FIRST thought! Kyra is beautiful and all, but advertising that specifically targets women is always ridiculous. This is no exception.

    is she really selling those I-bought-these-ridiculously-expensive-shoes-instead-of-paying-my-mortgage?  Only 49 million to go, and she and Kevin will eventually get their money back.

    Oh, and I'm a very hot 49, if anyone cares.
