As summer winds down, Entertainment Weekly is making sure we won’t miss the heat. We’ve seen hot lists galore, all leading up to a list of 25 Ultimate Hotties, chosen by EW.com readers.

Naturally, given our exquisite taste in hot, several AfterEllen.com lovelies appeared. And being proper lesbians dedicated to serving the public good, we want to share pictures of those hotties, guaranteed to make your week better.

Hot Brainy Beauty — Emily Deschanel, Temperence “Bones” Brennan, Bones

If you looked at that picture and thought, “Wow, she looks smart!” then get thee to an optometrist.

Hottest Female Vampire of All Time — Deborah Ann Woll, Jessica Hamby, True Blood

Jessica is one sexy vampire, to be sure. But hottest vamp of all time? That category was won long, long ago. (The video stops just short of NSFW, which is a bit cruel, but a great motivation to add a certain lesbian vampire film to your Netflix list.)

 

Hottest Female Crime Fighter — Emily Procter, Calleigh Duquesne, CSI: Miami

Procter has come a long way since The West Wing. And working with Calleigh would give hope to any crime victim.

Hottest Female Comedy Star — Tina Fey, Liz Lemon, 30 Rock

An ew.com reader said, “Tina Fey is one woman I’d switch teams for any day.” In our dreams, Tina would be the one to switch teams — and I’d be first in line (at least until Dorothy Snarker knocked me out of the way).

Hottest Female Action Star — Yvonne Strahovski, Sarah Walker, Chuck

If you didn’t watch Chuck last season, this picture should convince you to change your viewing habits. Agent Walker takes my breath away. And now that Stunt Double has shifted her loyalties to Helen Stewart, Sarah is mine, all mine.

Hottest Female Sci-Fi Star — Summer Glau, Cameron, Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles

Never has robotics been so beautiful. And even though Terminator was terminated, we get to see Summer this fall in Dollhouse. Thank you TV gods.

Hottest Male Sci-Fi Star — John Barrowman, Jack Harkness, Torchwood

As a bonus for our bisexual readers, I decided to include a beautiful boy. All right, who am I kidding? I have a huge crush on Jack. He didn’t even win the category, but so what? He’s adorable. There, I said it.

    with the exception of Cote de Pablo, didn't see a ton of 'ultimate hotties' on that list- love tina fey, but if we could be serious...

    David Tennant is my guy-crush!! But John is awesome also. Anyone seen the youtube video uploaded recently(ish) where David kisses John on the lips and John pretends to faint and its just awesome? Or the vids where Gareth (Ianto) and John are flirting as always, kissing, talking about orgies etc, or the one with Gareth and James Marsters (John Hart/Spike) talking about how it is to kiss John ^.^

    John used to annoy me slightly what with being on 3 TV shows in a row etc but only slightly, I always loved him still and since seeing a vid of him and Scott together or him kissing Ianto/James/David/more guys I like him lots more *eee*

     

    Also.. Emily Deschanel is awesome.. thought I'd add that..

    Ooooohhhh!  That clip of The Hunger really brought back memories for me!!!  I was finally starting to question my sexuality around the age of 19 until I went to the movies and saw, The Hunger, where Catherine Deneuve and Susan Sarandon have a mutual seduce the other and the dreamest sex scene ever!!

    The whole interaction between the two of them absolutely blew the top of the my head off, I was SO FRAKKING TURNED ON!!! I then went to the record store afterward and bought a cassette tape of that song Lakme (which is in the scene above), so I could imagine her whispering sweet nothings into my ear IN French. while we're FRENCHING!  LMAO!!!  In the world of female vampires, Catherine Deneuve has no equal in terms of sheer sexiness and elegance .....

    I'm going to have to go with Eliza Dushku as Echo on Dollhouse....then again I'm pretty much in love with her so I may be bias.

    Now I'm off to think of what I could do if I had money and access to the Dollhouse. *naughty thoughs involving echo*

    Or Deborah is she is definitely NOT the hottest vampire.  However I surmise that like most the maker of this list is a 20 something or bunch of male youngins who probably never heard of The Hunger. 

    But wow when this movie came out I knew little about filmmaking or screenwriting and this movie for me was like a peek into a real world.  Real where? Why where magical things happen and babes like Catherine Deneuve subtly seduce sensuous doctors like Sarandon and live vampirically ever after.

    Coolness-The Hunger (Now I am in need of a cold shower after watching that clip and the scene to follow, hehe), and seeing that pic of Summer Glau! I have to catch me some Doll House soon. Hmmm Catherine Deneuve was very sensual in The Hunger. The two vampire lovers that stick out in my mind is Fran and Miriam from the 1974 flick Vampyres. Jenny Wright as Mae in 1987's Near Dark was a cutie. Deborah Ann Woll is a sweetie. My personal list is Saffron Burrows Rie Rasmussen Lena Headey

    I agree with most of the list. I haven't seen The Hunger but am looking for it on ebay right now! But I do agree that Kate Beckinsale was soo hot in Underworld. Love Summer Glau and Emily Deshanel. I always knew there was something about Emily Proctor too.. But where are the butch women?

    I knew that Sumer Glau would be on this list and I completely agree! Eliza Dushku comes behind her in a close second. And yes Deborah Ann Woll is the hottest female vampire of all time! I've never seen Buffy or whatever movie you have linked up there so she gets my vote.
