Cherry Jones gets a husband; Sarah Paulson happy for them both

Don't worry; Cherry Jones hasn't lost her mind and left Sarah Paulson for a man. I'm talking about Jones' character on 24. We learned a few weeks ago that Jones will play President Allison Taylor on the seventh season of the show. Now, meet First Man Henry Taylor: Colm Feore.

If Feore looks familiar (his first name is pronounced “column,” by the way), it's because he's always popping up on TV or in film. Recent credits include playing General Sherman in HBO's Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee and President Adar (President Roslin's predecessor) on Battlestar Galactica. He's also a popular stage actor in Canada. Feore's currently filming a TV miniseries, Guns, with fellow Canadian and 24 star, Elisha Cuthbert.

For those of you who like spoilers, TV Squad has a tidbit on what might keep Henry Taylor busy while his wife's running the country.

I guess they make a good enough First Couple, but they'll never be as cute as this.

So what do you think of how Season 7 of 24 is shaping up? Are you still watching? Do the additions of Cherry Jones and Janeane Garofalo make you want to watch this year?

    And yeah, Cherry Jones and Janeane Garofalo do make me want to watch 24 this season . . . does that mean I need to watch the first six seasons on dvd first?

    I'm inclined to like Colm Feore, if only because he kissed his male co-star Patrick Huard on the lips at the premiere of their Canadian movie Bon Cop Bad Cop, and then told a journalist "it was really nice." Hee! Check out the clip here:

    that's like yelling fire in a theater! my heart stopped for just a split second as i groaned and thought "first anne heche, then melissa etheridge's ex, and now cherry jones. what is wrong with these women?!?" good to know it was just a miscommunication.

    I'm inclined to like Colm Feore, too. I've been impressed with some of his other work. Not a big 24 fan though. Ah, well. Have to get my Cherry and Sarah fix by watching Signs and Serenity, respectively. Mmmm, alliteration.

    From when is that photo with Sarah and Cherry? Was it recent? I was beginning to worry that they split up because I hadn't seen any photos with them both for quite a while. Anybody know?

    From the background it looks like its from Broadway Barks 8, which was held in July of 2006.  I really hope they haven't broken up, that would make me so sad.

    I was just getting ready to post that it was from July 2006. I assume they are still together if afterellen keeps posting items about them and calling Sarah an out actress even though Sarah has always been reluctant to speak about the relationship.

    It's just nice to see a lesbian couple publicly oozing love. I really love those two, but Sarah Paulson wasn't enough for me to stick with Studio 60, so unless I have a change of heart about 24, Cherry and Janeane just won't do.

    PS: Not cool to scare people like that with those headlines
