TV Alert: "Shear Genius" finale airs tonight on Bravo

During the first episode of this season's Shear Genius, I made a bet that out lesbian stylist Dee Adames would make it to the finale. Tonight, someone owes me an entire gallon of Ben and Jerry's Double Fudge Brownie because at 10 p.m. on Bravo, Dee goes up against out gay stylist Charlie and straight-but-not-narrow Nicole for a shot at $100,000, an apprenticeship with Nexus Salon, a chance to style a photo shoot with Allure magazine, and the opportunity to be called shear genius!

From the first episode of the season, Dee has proven to be the best technical stylist on the show. Her major competition from the outset has been golden-boy Charlie, who has won more elimination challenges than all the other stylists combined. Charlie's weakness, though, is that he's a diva. During his tantrums, Dee just keeps on styling.

Dee endeared herself to me before the season even started with this little exchange in her interview with Dara Nai:

Dara: Honestly, Dee, is any haircut worth $500?
Dee:It's not so much the haircut; it's the experience.
Dara:The only one-hour experience I can think of that's worth $500 involves a room at the W and an escort in a bustier.
Dee:It's about pampering yourself! And if the stylist feels that he deserves $500, and he delivers that experience for that client, it could be a life-changing experience for that client. Hey, if you have the money … $500 probably means nothing to some people. And $500 means a whole lot to a lot of other people.
