The 10 Hottest Women in Sports Movies

When we got got word that Bleacher Report posted a "20 Hottest Sports Movie Babes" list, our first thought was, "Wait, are there really 20 movies about female athletes?" Alas, no.

Bleacher Report's list definitely includes some sports-playing actresses/characters, but at least half of it is comprised of women whose role was to seduce male athletes from the sidelines. So, we decided to make our own "10 Hottest Sports Movie Babes" list. At the very least our list includes women in their uniforms. Bleacher Report only included uniform pictures if the women were in bikinis.

10) Tami Maida (Helen Hunt), Quarterback Princess: "What bothers you? That I'm a lady or that I'm a quarterback?"


9) Anne Marie Chadwick (Kate Bosworth), Blue Crush: "I want a girl to be on the cover of Surf magazine. It would be great if that girl were me, but any girl would do."

8) Sara (Julie Stiles), Save the Last Dance: "That's OK, I'll dance in circles, probably around you."

7) Monica Wright (Sanaa Lathan), Love and Basketball: "I'd rather wear a jersey than an apron."

6 & 5) Jules and Jess (Keira Knightley and Parminder Nagra), Bend it Like Beckham: "Anyone can cook aloo gobi, but who can bend a ball like Beckham?"

4) Pat Pemberton (Katharine Hepburn), Pat and Mike:"Would you like to see me serve a few, Mr. Conovan?"

3) Eva Rodriguez (Zoë Saldana), Center Stage:"What, did you go to a special bitch academy or something?"

2) Missy Pantone (Eliza Dushku), Bring It On: "See, I'm a hardcore gymnast. No way jumping up and down yelling 'Go Team Go' is gonna satisfy me."

1) Dottie Hinson (Geena Davis), A League of Their Own:"Oh, piss on your hat!"

    OK I like The Cutting Edge, too, but Sanaa Lathan in Love and Basketball and Parminder Nagra in Bend It Like Beckham are both on the list. So seriously, Linster, how can there be anything to complain about? ;)

    I can't be objective about The Cutting Edge. Kate Mosely was my first love, and my flame for her burns eternal.

    How can you not include Moira Kelly's Kate Mosley?!? She rocked the dress, she rocked the hair, she rocked the attitude, hell, she rocked that whole movie! They could have taken out that guy and that movie would still be fabulous!:-)

    And Zoe Saldana and Julia Stiles are in the list?!? Why? why? why? If we're talking sports, hardcore is best. :-) We give you  - Missy Peregrym in "Stick it", Michelle Rodriguez in "Girlfight" and Hilary Swank in "Million Dollar Baby". These were were women who were not girly girls in sports movies, they were tough women. :-)

    I was definitely expecting to see Missy Peregrym and Michelle Rodriguez on this list. I completely forgot about Hilary Swank, but when you think about it, she was one of the MOST qualified female characters for this category.  She was so tough and awesome in Million Dollar Baby....heroic even!  It doesn't get more badass than these girls.  Zoe Saldana and Julia Stiles are gorgeuous, but they don't quite fit the bill I don't think....

    Yeah- Moira Kelly showed me how truly gay I was after seeing her as Kate in The Cutting Edge. I freaking loved that movie- still do.

    c'mon she was gorgeous in a league of their own....

    and i remember when i was a little kid thinking that the girl who played the goalie in the mighty ducks movie (not the other figure skating one) was sooo hot, of course i was biased being a hockey goalie myself, but oh yeah, one of my first little kid crushes on hot athletes in movies.....

    and what keira knightley and paraminder negra can get a dual shout out, but you forget the other two hot surfers from blue crush?? michelle rodriguez and the other girl who's name is totally slipping my mind??

    Quite surprised that everyone's favorite lesbian sport movie "Personal Best" was left off the list! Not a fan of Mariel Hemingway?

    As soon as I saw the list I knew exactly who was missing! Especially since Eliza is there. Missy also should have been in the hottest 100 I think, I voted for her... but she seems to get forgotten about :(

    Missy Peregrym - oh god, how i wish she were gay. she's ridiculously hot in stick it. AND i love how there's absolutely no romantic storyline for her (leaving things nice and open to my imagination!)

    My vote is for Michelle Rodriguez. Girlfight, Blue Crush, whatever. Even Fast and Furious, maybe, does that count?

    I vote for Lori Petty in Point Break, because I was young when I saw it. I just loved her voice (also ;). Although it's not a sport movie but there's a lot of surfing there.

    Oh, wow. Thanks for reminding me of her.

    I was also very young when I watched her in Point Break, I had no idea I was gay, but I was fascinated with her. She did do a lot of surf and played beach (american) football with the guys and scored. :P So she could be in this list. :)

    And Missy Peregrym. :) She should do more sports movies...

    Because ballet takes more physical strength and discipline than basketball, football, anything like that.

    I think Hilary is insanley hot. I agree on the abs thing plus her arms and shoulders in that mocie are amazing! Also her whole character makes her more attractive in that film. It's one of my favourites even though it is a little depressing.

    I love that movie, though I always stop watching before she lets her obnoxious little sister win. And YES, SHE DROPS THE BALL ON PURPOSE. 

    (ps - surprised personal best wasn't on this list. sweaty track girls? yes please)
