"Rosie Radio" will debut on Sirius-XM next fallGood news, fans of funny: out comedian/actress Rosie O’Donnell has signed on with Sirius XM to host "Rosie Radio" starting this fall. It's all of the fun, none of the Hasselbeck — which means, of course, that now you can enjoy Rosie without wanting to smash your head through the wall!
Sirius-XM approached Rosie after she guested on Howard Stern's radio show earlier this year. When they agreed to broadcast "Rosie Radio" from a studio she's building inside her guesthouse, Rosie signed right on, saying that she needed something to do while her four kids were in school anyway. "All my kids are in school now, so all day long I have nothing to do. This was the first year that they were all in school all day, and I found myself very bored. I was saying to [wife] Kelli [Carpenter], we either need to get another kid or I’ll have to go back to work."
It's good to see Rosie out the entertainment world again. She'll be guesting on Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List later this season, and it was rumored this week that she might star in a revival of the 1937 Broadway smash Babes in Arms. You certainly can't blame her for taking a break from the spotlight after the migraine-inducing season she spent on the The View in 2007, and all of the drama that followed her exit. The talk show has been 60% more tame since her departure, and while that may suit mother-hen Barbara Walters, it just makes me sleepy. "Rosie Radio" will be a two-hour call-in show, focusing on entertainment and interviews. (And you know she's going to talk politics.) Will you tune in to hear Rosie entertain (and occasionally enrage) her callers? Submitted by on June 26, 2009 - 1:00pm. |

Hurray!
Yes! She's gonna make waves again. No one else can do that as well.
And for those hypocrits who snub her, I stick out my tongue at you!

No
Will she be on Sirius OutQ 109?
I hope so, that channel could use some new blood. It wouldn't be hard to make room for her either, just take an hour here or there from exisiting shows. Some of them, like Morning Jolt, could benefit from being trimmed by an hour or so. They better not touch Derek and Romaine though ;-)
Oh, god....that's the last
