Jennifer Aniston is making some more Must-See TV

Jennifer Aniston is returning to Must-See TV this fall — temporarily. On Friday, Aniston's publicist confirmed that the Friends alum is set to appear on the first or second episode of 30 Rock this season.

"She is shooting now," her publicist told E!'s Kristin Dos Santos. "We are not giving any specifics on her character."

It's no wonder Aniston chose 30 Rock as the fountain in which to dip her toes back into the sitcom world: Tina Fey's comedy racked up a whopping seven guest star Emmy nominations last season, nearly monopolizing the categories for best guest actor and actress.

"They write great parts for all the regulars on the show, and they write great parts for the people who get to come on the show," Will Arnett told reporters after he was nominated for a 30 Rock guest star Emmy. "When they bring guest characters on to the show, they really try to give them something to do."

Aniston is not the only former Friend to stop by 30 Rock: David Schwimmer guest starred with Al Gore in last season's environmental episode. Schwimmer played the role of Greenzo, a costumed environmental superhero gone rogue. It sort of came off like Ross Gellar in a gaudy green cape, though. So, let's hope Jennifer Aniston can do better.

My favorite guest star last season was Carrie Fisher, who played the role of Liz Lemon's screenwriting hero.

"I don’t want to sound like a weirdo fan," Lemon told Fisher, "but I’m obsessed with everything you’ve ever done." (That's the exact thing I'd say if I ever met Tina Fey.)

Despite my most ardent support (and $10 per movie), Jennifer Aniston's roles since Friends haven't been very memorable. Maybe her appearance on 30 Rock will tempt her to re-enter the comedy world on NBC. Maybe she'll even team up with Lauren Graham, who has long been rumored to be in talks with NBC about her own comedy. That's the best fantasy sitcom idea ever!

Will you tune in to see Jen on 30 Rock? Who else would you like to see guest star alongside Tina Fey and the crew this season?

    We need a Friends reunion!!!

I haven't watched any of 30 Rock, but it's on my list of series DVDs to Netflix.

    Dennis Duffy!

I'd actually really love to see Dean Winters back as Liz's disastrous ex Dennis Duffy, he makes me laugh more than anyone else on the show. Other than that, Milla Jovovich would be amazing - she's hot, hilarious, and a total badass.

Now that Winters is on The

Now that Winters is on The Sarah Connor Chronicles, I wonder how much of him we'll see on 30 Rock.

    Second series?

I think he was already doing the first series of The Sarah Connor Chronicles when he was guest appearing in series two of 30 Rock - there are a couple of cool Terminator references in his episodes that are definitely shout outs. Is he definitely in the second series of The Sarah Connor Chronicles do you know? I've not seen any press that includes him.

    In a heartbeat!

Hecks yeah I'll watch! And not just because I'm already hopelessly addicted to the Tina Fey Machine 30 Rock, but because Jennifer Aniston is one of my favorite people alive and I'll watch just about anything she's in :)

But seriously, I want to see what they write as far as a character for her and what she does with it. I'm praying she doesn't play herself.

    Ooh! Ooh! Ooh!

Fantasy Guest Star: Portia de Rossi. Because a 30 Rock/Arrested Development comedy genius crossover would clearly be better than everything. Ever.

Aniston Stalks Baldwin In 30 Rock Cameo

Actress Jennifer Aniston is set to stalk Alec Baldwin when she makes a return to the small screen with a stint on hit U.S. TV show 30 Rock.

The former Friends star will make a guest appearance in an upcoming episode of the comedy show, which stars Baldwin and Tina Fey.

And the star will shock fans by playing a "free-spirited, Fatal Attraction-like stalker" who becomes obsessed with Baldwin's character on the show.

Fey, the series' star, creator and producer, says, "Jennifer is not only incredibly lovely to have around, she also has what the young people would call 'mad skills'. We're very excited that she's joining us."

    I like her timing

Comedic timing that is.  I'd like to see her back on a regular series.  I haven't liked much of any of her features, so I say she should pair up with Lauren Graham in a lesbian dramedy.  I need my processing so it can't be pure comedy. Holy Hannah that would be hot!

Okay, I'd watch even if they were straight. Such is my love for Lauren and Jen.

Jennifer Aniston Strangles A Police Man!

Jennifer Aniston was back at work on the set of 30 Rock in NYC last night and this time she was getting physical with the boys rather than dancing all wet with the ladies. She got to shoot scenes with Alec Baldwin (yay) and it looks like things got a little violent with his stunt double during filming. It sounds like she will star on the third episode of the season while Oprah may guest star on number two. Naturally, she looked fabulous — and as usual those arms and that hair are so envy inducing — even playing a psycho stalker.
