Freida Pinto, Summer Glau and other women pose as pin-ups

Do you like beautiful, sexy, sometimes scantily-clad women? If you answered “no," what the hell are you doing here?

If you answered “yes," you will love the group of photos some genius put up on the Listal site. The theme for this gallery is (mostly) old-school “pin-up” style pictures taken of some of today’s hottest celebs. Sure there are those you would expect — Dita Von Teese and Katy Perry I am looking at you — but who knew Freida Pinto and Mila Kunis took shots like these?

Some faves that hopped off the page right away were mostly people I didn’t know or didn’t recognize. As soon as Jurnee Smollett's smokin’ classroom photo came up, I was totally hot for teacher — until I figured out she was one of Michelle Tanner’s friends on Full House and one of Olivia’s friends on The Cosby Show. Oh hell to the no — that’s just not fair. She’s so young, I cannot find her sexy, but it’s almost impossible not to.

Moving right along to Mary Elizabeth Winstead who is a stunner as a bathing beauty in a polka-dot bikini. I’m not a horror movie fan, I got scared watching Mama Mia, so I had no clue who she was. I am now starting to consider facing my fears if it means more time to stare at Ms. Winstead.

Mila Kunis has climbed to the top of my aesthetically pleasing lady list (also known as my “I would totally hit it” list) but this picture takes her above and beyond. It is the perfect combination of retro-sexy without going overboard.

Some honorable mentions go to Scarlett Johansson who proves she doesn’t have to take her clothes off to have a good time (no no), Alexis Bledel as Rosie the Riveter and Zooey Deschanel’s adorable 20’s beach and sand pose.

There were a few that really didn’t do it for me though. Brittany Murphy looks like she should be in Warrant’s “Cherry Pie” video. It’s less pin-up and more porn star.

Summer Glau might look good in her picture but the way they have her posed, it looks like she had an accident on the studio floor.

Whoever dressed and posed Abbie Cornish needs to give her outfit back to the figure skater they stole it from. There’s something that screams “Taylor Dane” to me from her picture and I’m not sure why.

Who else would you like to see in a pin-up pose? Did I not give love where love is due? Is it ok that as a 30-year-old lady I’m googly-eyed over these early 20-somethings? If it’s wrong, I’m not sure I want to be right.

    I completely agree about your comment on Summer Glau's "accident" hahaha...so true.  I thought Brittany Murphy's pose was actually pretty hot, but that's probably because I have little against porn.  And, as for Scarlett, while she may be able to have a good time without taking off her clothes, she really should...as often as possible...but, maybe that's just me haha

    Ungh, I found this website a month or two ago and every time I go back to it (which is often) it elicits the same response: I want that. I don't know who else I'd like to see, maybe Rachel Weisz or Kate Winslet, someone a bit older than all those hot-bodied ladies already there.

    But I've always loved the 40s style. But I agree that it would be great to see women other than skinny 20-30 year olds like this. I'd love to see the Kates in shots like these (Winslet and Walsh), and Jordin Sparks, Sanaa Lathan, Sara Ramirez, I could go on and on, but alas, I haven't the time.

    Freida Pinto is simply too beautiful to be true! Maybe it's only me, but i don't find her pic sexy..i just think it's adorable..she can't do sexy for me. Sara Ramirez can, though ^.^ Plus, I've always considered Mila Kunis gorgeous, but here she looks so much like Fran Dresher, it's crazy! And i agree on Brittany Murphy (too pornish and not pin-up at all!) and Summer Glau..when i saw her pic i started laughing and i had not even read the text..maybe it's me, always thinking bad..or maybe it's just a bad concept for a shoot ^-^

    I don't like how Pinto looks bleached to white. It's the lighting, I guess, but her actual skin color is gorgeous, why make it lighter?

    Not too fond of the Freida Pinto pin-up--which is sad because I love Freida Pinto--but, wow...that Jurnee Smollett photo?!

    I saw the Rachel Taylor and pinup in Vanity Fair a while back. I love that she has a cunt on her head (you know, the hat!). Kristen Stewart has one too!

    As a SPY KID, the pic of Carla Gugino makes me very warm.

    the one of Katy Perry makes her look cross eyed.

    They all look amazing but Evan Rachel Wood was my fav for sure! eating pizza?! best ever!

    although i could do without Summer's accident... that was a little disturbing

    I really like the idea of these pics but I don't actually find most of them that attractive. Emily Blunt is one of the most beautiful women in the world but her pin-up was too... gimmicky.

    ...OMG. Thank you for this post. Pin-ups are my fave. My mouth will not close. I love all these woman, and to see them as pose pin-up style is a little too much for me to handle.

    I am absolutely in love with Pin-Up fashion. These photos are a treat, some of them are really, really good. Others are just going for sexy and don't convey the essence, but I'm not complaining.

    That Jurnee Smollett photo is SMOKIN'. It's also oddly authentic, if it weren't for the quality I could swear it was vintage. I need to see more of her. lol
