Actress Nicole Eggert pokes fun at her weight gain

I get that the average Funny or Die viewer isn't a rocket scientist, but I was a bit dumbstruck by some of the comments on this video. Seems like a lot of them missed the parody part. IMO, she still looks good.

I don't know. It just rubs me the wrong way. Poking fun at her lack of conditioning is one thing, but exploiting her body is another. Once again perpetuating the myth that you can't be fat AND in shape. 

The video isn't funny....

...but Nicole is still hot.

I'm not seein' the "fat"

I actually think it's not really funny... She just has an average body of someone with an average life, and that doesn't mean she's unhealthy or FAT... Again, I can see why they did the video but it still gives the wrong message, she seems fine to me, and still gorgeous IMO, and as usual, people get confused with what being fat is.

What the hell?  I think she's lush and lovely.

All of you need to yank the stick out. That was HILARIOUS and spoke to reality.

Women of average size are considered by many people, including themslves, to be "Fat."  Especially according to "industry" standards. For Nicole to be able to laugh at herself and pull a "Will Ferrell," i.e. publically running half naked in all of her bootyliciously jiggly glory diserves just a little comedic appreciation.

I know I cracked the hell up at her getting the last laugh at those chuckleheads. :)

Not to mention, I just love a woman with a little back fat on her that's not afraid to show it. ;)

Nicole Eggert was my favorite actress growing up... I watched Baywatch just for her, but I couldn't stand Charles in Charge. I must have seen Amanda and the Alien and Double O kid a million times. 

I'm going to ignore some of the comments above me that try to defend her by saying that she is still pretty even though she has a normal body.

The point of the whole video is that nowadays people call even normal people 'fat'. 

The video shows how rediculous our society is for ignoring normal people and instead always admiring unhealthily skinnymodels.

It's hilarious because it is taken SO SO SO far - the guy was blatantly asking for a girl, any girl to kiss him but just because she's not a supermodel he says no to her? 

I was fully prepared to launch into a tirade until Nicole spoke. The first half of the video played on far too many sterotypes: Fat people aren't desirable. Fat people can't run. Fat people don't look good in swimsuits. Then, Nicole did several awesome things.

1) She reclaimed the label 'fat.' Regardless of whether or not Nicole is fat (and there's a lot of people connoting the term 'fat' with unattractive), she is "hollywood fat," meaning she's receiving negative attention in the media over weight gain. She acknowledged this, and didn't use it negatively.

2) She mentioned that it's normal and healthy to gain weight. 

3) She called those douchebags out, and made fun of their attitudes. The video isn't following their opinions; it's mocking them.

4) She didn't let it affect her.  

However, she's still joining the cast of a reality show where the whole point is making semi-famous people lose weight, which kind of contradicts whatever positive body image message is in this video. Yuck. 

And yes, she looks freaking hot in that bikini. There should, however, be some kind of sequel that touches on the fact that it's completely okay for the fat guy to take his shirt off and turn down the fat girl. Double yuck; and another reason I'm glad I'm gay.

When she started running down the beach she didnt look bad at all, it looked amazing. Dont get me wrong, I like skinny girls as well and she was hot in the above pics, but there is something about a curvy girl who has the confidence to run around in tiny bikinis and not hide anything that is just hot.

Anywho, funny video. I do kind of agree with ohbrietta though, the video and the fact that shes going on celeb fit club are a little contradictory.

and i got the humor of her being "fat" and calling the losers out for not wanting her because she was "fat". yeah, i got it. 

still...didn't really find it that funny. probably because i'm used to funny or die being waaaaay over the top with their stuff. if she'd come out and been, morbidly obese or something, in that teeny weeny bikini and strutted her stuff like she was pamela anderson, i would've laughed. 

i'll just have a seat over there. that window seat to hell...

This video would make more sense if she wasn't about to go on a show to lose weight. She gained some weight around her mid section there are studies that say that  gaining around there increases ones  risk for certain disease, she just looks like she gained a few and her legs are no longer muscular.

I admit, it made me cringe.

She's not fat.  And it bothered me immensely that the guys looked so horrified when they saw her running towards them.  I know not a single man who would call her fat or dislike her body-shape.

Her revenge was kind of funny, but still sort of...

I don't know.  It just rubbed me the wrong way, even though she got her own back in the end.  

It was kinda lame for a Funny or Die vid, but well, it served its purpose.

She has a good body, just the wrong sort of bikini I suppose, some woman with that shape can still look better than Baywatch if they know what they are wearing.

and this vid would make more sense if she wasnt going to go on some celebrity fitness show.

I dont know, I still find her hot, I dont do skinny so any sort of meat on a woman on the right places is good for me.

Whether the video is funny or not, I give her kuddos for not taking herself too seriously. She was hot in her Baywatch days and she's still hot now.

Because that wasn't funny at all. All I saw was a woman doing her duty and running to save a bunch of guys.

I cant believe anyone would think thats fat. she's not even chubby. thats NORMAL.

but oh well- thats the sort of mindset our soceity has now- beng a size 12 is now bordaline obesity.

The video is making fun of people who would consider her 'fat'. Because the guys are so rediculous, it shows how rediculous some people in our society are for calling gorgeous women like her 'fat'.

Atleast they abstained from Free Willy jokes? That's another 90s thing...

I gotta applaude her for putting that get up on (although, it wasn't the same suit)  and running around a beach for humor's sake.

Just so you know, my first thought when I see you is not "I want to fuck that girl".

I was neither offended nor did I think it was crazy funny.

But I will say that she is "Hollywood fat" but not real world fat. Yes, she has put on a few pounds but she looks great. She just shouldn't be wearing a bikini or maybe just go one size bigger.  A regular 2 piece or a one piece suit would be more appropriate. I mean, I don't have the worst body in the world but I'm smart enough to know what swimsuit suits me and my body "flaws". We all want to look the best we can.

She is still beautiful from head to toe. I would not kick her out of bed.
