TV alerts: All Jodie, all the time

What is this, national Jodie Foster week? I've already alerted you to some late-night Foster (hmm) on Letterman tonight (Monday), but I thought I should also give you a tip for the morning after: She'll be on Live With Regis and Kelly on Tuesday.

Foster at the Toronto International Film Festival

And if you're still not sated after all that, she'll also be on The Daily Show Tuesday night. Jon Stewart, please be a truly brave one and ask her some tricky questions! Oh, never mind: In my world, every week is Jodie Foster week, so I don't really care what she does or says, as long as I get to behold her once in a while. (And you thought my Beals love was extreme.)

Speaking of beholding, Entertainment Weekly has a nice gallery of Foster roles through the decades. The tomboylicious Freaky Friday picture should make you understand why that film had quite an impact on five-year-old me.

Every week should be Jodie week!

"so I don't really care what she does or says, as long as I get to behold her once in a while"

    Amen to that.

I want the week to wrap up already so I can go see The Brave One :)

    Enjoy it while we can

This is the best part about a new Jodie Foster movie...she does press!! Yay!! I'll enjoy it while it lasts and take comfort in the thought she will be back in my neck of the woods soon (Queensland, Australia) to finish up filming her part in her next movie "Nim's Island".

Actually, she had been staying on the Gold Coast near Brisbane (my home town) recently while filming other scenes from "Nim's Island" and did a lot of late night filming at a waterpark nearby. Without knowing this at the time I happened to drive past one night as they were filming and wondered vaguely what it was for. So I came within about 100 metres of Jodie without realising it, which sounds really lame (IS really lame) but gave me a happy feeling nonetheless.

I'm relying on you lovely US folk to post heaps of JF youtube vids of all these interviews. Thanks in advance!

    Working Woman

The gallery synopsis in EW is quite good.  What a lifetime body of work for Ms. Foster!  What a Body!  I'm so happy she likes to work.

I am a longtime fervid Jodie

I am a longtime fervid Jodie Foster fan!  Jodie knows how to get people to see her films, by only appearing in films once every two years or so, thus ensuring that when she does make a film, all of us who have been waiting patiently will rush out to see it.  I know that I am set to go out and see "The Brave One" when it opens.

Thankfully for us Jodie fans we can also be assured that due to a Jodie Foster film opening soon, that there will finally once again be plenty of magazine covers and tv interviews with Jodie to promote the film and hopefully gleam a few tidbits of new information and a few soundbites from Jodie to keep us satisfied until 2 yrs. from now when another Jodie Foster film opens.

    As noted on my profile

My favorite ALL TIME movie is Hotel New Hampshire...LOVE that movie for a variety of reasons only another psychologist could appreciate...lol  But of course most of the reasons do revolve around Ms. Foster, my ALL TIME favorite actress!  And not for the obvious reasons either...just remember....psychologist here...lol

    The David Letterman

The David Letterman interview was interesting. He started off saying how she keeps getting more and more beautiful she was and then when she came out he said something like, "as I get older, I find myself fonder of you than I should be because I know in the end, it'll just break my heart." Maybe it was just me, but it kinda sounded like an allusion to her sexuality. BTW Jodie looked quite uncomfortable after that statement...

btw --Here's a link to this morning's interview on the Today show. It's kinda dull, but Jodie looks hot in that dress. http://video.msn.com/v/us/msnbc.htm?g=b980bd15-7412-4b4a-b01f-fbf28808e444&f=00&fg=

I don't know if the David Letterman interview is on youtube, but here's a link to a really stupid, and pointless bit w/Jodie on the show.
