TV alert: Rosie on "Nip/Tuck"

Tonight on Nip/Tuck, Rosie O'Donnell returns as Dawn Budge, the lottery winner with an attitude.

This time Dawn needs reconstructive surgery after a bird attacks her face. Critics and bloggers are already making jokes about Rosie getting her mouth sewn shut, but I think it's pretty great that Ro still has a sense of humor about herself.

In case you haven't seen it yet, here's the behind-the-scenes video Rosie posted on her blog last week:

Well, it looks like more fun than The View, at least! And with only slightly more squawking.

    Rosie

I'm back to not watching The View. At least when they had Rosie it was guaranteed to be interesting. Now it puts me to sleep, which totally screws with my nap later.

    Ro's back

I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with her tonight, particularly what, if anything, happens between her and Troy. Plus, she's got a great rapport with Roma Maffia's character.

Wasn't there talk of a spin-off of Nip/Tuck based around Rosie's character at one time? What ever happened with that?

    Rosie's still got it

I was at Rosie's Foundation Gala last night and it was a lot of fun. She was funny, the programs that her foundation supports are doing great work with kids and I was really impressed. Rosie has a great sense of humor and doesn't spare anyone, including herself. Since she started her foundation she has raised over $60 million to help kids in need. Rosie may not always be balanced, but at least she says what is on her mind and you have no doubt where she stands. I'm going to watch Nip/Tuck and support Rosie.
