Season 4 of "The 4400" (wow, that's a lot of fours)

The new season of The 4400 starts Sunday, June 17 on USA (9/8c). I liked the first season a lot, but haven't tuned in regularly since then. Still, I like what I've read about the new season so far; the "battle over promicin" (a neurotransmitter harvested from the 4400) is intriguing, and USA has really gone all out with the accompanying ad campaign. They've even created a pro-promicin site, an anti-promicin site and one for the undecideds among us.

Even if you're not into sci fi, you might want to tune in just to see Megalyn Echikunwoke, Summer Glau and — wait for it — Karina Lombard. Hi, Marina!

To catch up, you can watch the season 3 finale on the official website. The site also offers character backstories, timelines, an episode guide, blogs and message boards. I'm not going to read creepy Maia's diary, though. Eek.

    *yawn*

That yawn not being directed at Scribe, of course, but at the very idea of yet another season of The 4400 being forced upon the world. Seriously, for those of you who enjoy it, do so. But for the rest of us, we're left scratching our heads as to why it is actually necessary to create a website that will just take up space that could have otherwise been spent on creating Top 100 Lists...

When she calls my name, I turn and in that instant I lose my heart. This is the love of my life.

    Up to season two myself

And finding it fantastic, I have to say! I think it's a good premise (if a little stolen) that they've built on and so far they manage to keep bringing interesting characters, abilities and scenarios into play. As long as they can keep doing that I'm happy!

    Stolen?

How many original ideas are left, come on. Can't wait for Sunday for more Summer.

    Bring it on!!

The only things worth watching on TV in the summer are baseball and The 4400. It will be great to have it back, though it looks like USA won't be re-showing the previous season to catch us up, like it did last year. How are we supposed to remember all that happened last season?? Some of us have a problem recalling what we did yesterday...

Not only is it an entertaining show, but features some great eye candy, too. Diana...yum!!!

    hmmm...

I've never watched an episode or a trailer for that matter.  However, I must say...

You had me at River.  Karina is just icing on the cake.  Guess I will be youtubing and fan fiction-ing to catch up on the series.

    4400 - rocks!!

i have to say my ex bought me the first season for christmas last year, and i was almost immediately hooked, so promptly requested the second season for my birthday 2 months later (and what a looooooong two months that was :-) ) and well, i JUST bought someone the 3rd season for her birthday which should arrive this week - fingers crossed - although i'm positive she will let me watch them with her, so yeah, i had a slightly ulterior motive there, heh :-)

anyway i'm completely stoked to see what happens, and well, Karina Lombard is definitely the icing on the cake - or ANY cake for that matter!!

    Who's not a SciFi Fan?

I was surprised to see Summer and Karina on the list of actresses. Two amazing actresses! Sci Fi actors are often recycled, but I hope that Karina is in many more productions. :D -Rachel

    Recycling

I couldn't agree more. I thought adding Ben Browder and Claudia Black to the Stargate SG1 cast was just a cheap shot at trying to pick up Farscape fans. It might have worked with just one of them, but for me, it spoiled things because I kept thinking about (and missing!) Farscape.

    I Like Sci-Fi

I'm starved for sci-fi. Maybe because I don't watch TV, hmmm...

    Love the 4400...

....and Karina just makes it even better. Been waiting since the season's ending of the L Word!

    I thought last nights

I thought last nights episode was great! I have really missed the show since its been gone and am so intrigued with the promicin thing. I still have not decided what side I am on but after checking out Promicindance.com I think it would be cool to have that power:)

    Pro-choice, baby!

    Ok, that didn't sound right.

I would take it, but mainly as long as it is an informed decision let people make up there own minds.
