People magazine's "most beautiful" for 2007

This week, People magazine announced its "100 Most Beautiful People" (the issue hits newsstands today). Drew Barrymore gets the title "World's Most Beautiful" — really? They scoured the whole world? Drew must feel pretty special.

There are no big surprises on the list: Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Aniston and Halle Berry all made the cut, as did (hooray!) Helen Mirren.

But there is one slightly surprising additional list this year: "Beautiful Without Makeup." That one includes Katharine McPhee, Rashida Jones and Rosario Dawson. This is exactly what they look like in the morning, wearing only their very good genes.

    I'VE ALWAYS BELEIVED THAT DREW BARRYMORE IS SO BEAUTIFUL,, SHE HAS THIS SWEET SMILE AND VOICE AND...........MMM... JUST STUNNING!SHE DESERVES TO BE ON THAT LIST!

    I love a woman sans make-up. Rashida Jones is just gorgeous! I'm still in the JAM camp, though.

    I just can't believe that Katharine McPhee, Rashida Jones and Rosario Dawson look like that in the morning with perfect hair and skin tones???

    I'm totally agree that Drew Barrymore is beautiful. She's beautiful in a very unique way.

    To each their own, but I have never found Drew Barrymore all that pretty, let alone beautiful.  Depending on her hairstyle and the shot, she can be fairly pretty.  I prefer her performances more then her looks.  Of the 4 other actresses you listed....I only find Rosario Dawson attractive, particularly with makeup on.  Jessica Alba to me, is the most beautiful current actress in Hollywood.

    I am happy that both Carrie Underwood *squeals* and Katharine Mcphee made the list! How exciting! 

    I think Drew is very beautiful...but "world's most beautiful"? is a bit of a stretch...but hey she must be super happy to have that title.

    Angelina Jolie. Yes, she is phyically beautiful but her internal beauty is what makes her the most beautiful person in the world (IMO). She uses her wealth and fame to help those in need and does not expect anything in return. She does not have to do this but she chooses to because she cares. What she is really like, who knows and who cares. Looking in her eyes when she talks about issues, her passion and commitment is apparent. You can fake a smile but you cannot fake your soul.

    I always liked her acting, I think she does a great job... but this picture makes her look so sexy!
    Is it just me? Am I a pervert? I would take her out on a date right now... if my girlfriend wouldn't mind!

    I generally hate people magazine's most beautiful list, but I always hoped to see Rashida Jones first thing in the morning. She has got to be one of the best things Quincy Jones has ever produced and that includes the Color Purple.

    What I like most about all of these women is the fact that they seem so relaxed and happy to be just who they are. Drew Barrymore has always been that way. She reminds me of a flower child and her inner beauty gives her a special radiance. Helen Mirren proves that women can be beautiful at any age and all three of the women are lovely without makeup!

    I have loved Rosario Dawson and Rashida Jones for years, so I'm really happy to see them on the list. Particularly without makeup. I never wear makeup- never learned how to apply it. When I was thirteen and all my friends were schooling themselves in the girlie arts of makeup application, hair-teasing and dancing like JLo, I was too busy writing Dark Angel fanfiction to join in. Hence my complete lack of skill in all of the girlie arts.

    Also, Helen Mirren is a stone fox. *grin*
