Molly Shannon hosts SNL tomorrowSaturday Night Live has been kind of boring lately (Scarlett Johansson notwithstanding), but it just might shine tomorrow night, when Molly Shannon returns to host. On the recent NBC special Saturday Night Live in the '90s, one of the writers talked about Molly's method of creating characters. It seemed to be more of a process of discovering a gesture or a way of moving, and then building a persona around that — which, well, if the gesture was putting your fingers in your armpits and then sniffing them, was a smart way to go.

Yay MoShan! I haven’t watched SNL since Tina left, but will def be watching tomorrow. And thanks for including the tree scene from Superstar – I know it’s retarded, but I laugh every time I see it.
John Goodman - forever immortalized in my mind as Linda Tripp.
i love that show
when i was younger i would sit awake every night just to wait for that show to come on... and when it did i would fall asleep half way through it...
It was cool...
