Kat McPhee, weather girl

Someone just sent me this video of Katharine McPhee. Apparently the American Idol runner-up helped out with the weather and traffic during an appearance in St. Louis last week. If you haven't already seen it and you're a McPhee fan, I don't know whether to warn you or encourage you. I mean, it's sort of silly. But it's also pretty damn charming.

Some of the comments around the web have called Kat "stupid" for her antics in this video, but if she's stupid, what should we call the duh-hey local news anchors?

One thing we can all learn from this: Make sure you can actually see when you try to report the weather!

Also, if it's gonna be hot, bring your water spritzers.

     I still think she got robbed on American Idol. And she can tell me the weather in the nude anytime. :)~

    It's like when worlds collide and then a whole bunch of stuff happens and people are all like, whoa. Even though I gave up weed back in '80, that clip made me feel a little stoned.

    Lol. I dunno, I found her excitement to be kind of infectious. If everyone in the studio had been nervously laughing for politness' sake instead of guffawing loudly in the background, it probably would have been a little more irritating.

    I thought she was adorable! My favorite part was when they offered to let her do weather and she gasped excitedly and ran off.

    I liked what palooza said about it being great because they all found it funny instead of being annoyed by it. You could tell they were totally charmed by her. I know I was, and I wasn't even there.
