Glenn Close knows sexy when she sees itYeah, yeah, I know we've been giving Damages a lot of space on this blog. But Rush & Molloy, gossip columnists for the New York Daily News, seem to have noticed our fondness for Glenn Close. The important point here is that Glenn acknowledges that her character's relationship with Rose Byrne's character is intriguing in more than one way:
Just when I think I couldn't be a bigger fan, she goes and says something like this. Damn you, Glenn Close! I shake my fist in your general direction, in fascination and arousal. Wait. That sounded wrong. Anyway, here are some more previews. Get out of the car! Read my review of Damages here, see more clips here and tune in for the premiere tonight at 10:00 p.m. on FX. tuning in
Ok, you’ve convinced me. I’m not a big network tv watcher, but I will be tuning in to watch this. Was that you, Scribe, who wrote something about Damages and “moral relativity”? Yeah, I’m all over that relativism.
btw, nice media mention ;)
Nice job, guys!!!
Flawless
Maybe?
Hey, hey, hey! Call me Schizophrenic/a wishful thinker, but it really looked to me like Glenn and Rose kissing in the car in the second clip at about 17 seconds! I'm just sayin'...
But yeah, congrats Scribe!! This site is doing pretty well in the non-(exclusively [yes I'm talking to you Samantha Bee and Anderson Cooper!!]) gay media!!
OK I'm convince.
I'm also convince. I guess I'll have to find a way to watch it.
By the way, I'm more and more proud of AE. The site is getting more and more recognition. Congrat*
Wow
Just watched the first episode (commercial free thanks to those good folks at Cadillac) and holy hell...
What a great show.
just watched it.... i was
just watched it....
i was almost afraid it wouldn't live up to the hype. they've been playing ads for it non-stop these past few weeks. but i have to say, i was thoroughly impressed....and confused, which is a great place to be for this kind of show. rose byrne was gorgeous and amazingly in tune with her character, as was glenn close as patty.
god, i'm just drooling for the next episode.
sweet...
I liked this a lot - Glenn was just incredible. It’s so rare to see a great actress in such a rich and strong lead role. Esp on tv.
and yay to her being a Pisces - tho she’s rather atypical for one!
But at the risk of incurring the wrath of others here, I was totally unimpressed with Rose Byrne’s performance. I simply couldn't see the whole “you're brilliant,” “ambitious,” “special” bit they all laid on her. Absolutely nothing about her popped for me - half the time her expression was completely flat, practically vapid. Like she wasn't even paying attention.
Altho I loved her line about Emily Dickinson: “That bitch would write anything.”
I did like her in the Dead Girl, so I hope her acting picks up here.
miss
damn I missed it. I thought it was a fall show?
