Cagney and Lacey are watching you

Some things just don't fly on American TV. For example, the unedited version of Tipping the Velvet will probably never air in the U.S., which is, frankly, tragic. Luckily, some things do eventually make it across the pond, like The Graham Norton Show, which airs on BBCA. I look forward to seeing the episode that features Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly. It recently aired in the U.K. in celebration of the release of the Cagney and Lacey season 1 DVD.

For now, I'll have to be satisfied with a clip — and I definitely, completely am. It involves hidden speakers and a two-way mirror in a ladies' room, but I can't really describe it. It's best to just watch. I'll offer one quote:

Daly: "Use your panties."
Gless: "I'm not wearing any panties."

    and I called my mum about it! Watched it, and it was hilarious. In the second part a Dutch girl asked them to be arrested and C&L fans were invited to play the theme song using a kazoo... *lol* And Tyne wondering why Natalie Imbruglia would put out a singles collection ("You've been in the business for such a long long time.") *lol*

    i just happened to catch an episode of cagney and lacey today, love that show to bits. i mentioned it to my dad and even he thought it was pretty class, and he's a serious grump, lol

     this clip is amazing, i live in the Uk and didnt know that they were on the show, dammit!!

    I always watch this show on the bbc (thank god that we get that in The Netherlands) and you can be sure that you're going to laugh. But this episode was so funny my stomache was hurting from it! I couldn't stop laughing through the entire thing! Everybody must see this:p It will make your day!

    am crying here from laughing so hard - I had to try to hold in the laughter while watching as I share an office, all the while hoping that the volume wasn't so high incase officemates thought the toilet noises were coming from me!!!! lol!

    OMG, they are too funny together. LOL I had to keep replaying the tape over and over again because I was laughing so hard my eyes were watering up. Sharon and Tyne are a perfect match for each other, like a happy, old married couple.

    They should reunite them in a comedy.

    One of the single funniest moments I have ever seen! Did you see the part when they had the people from different countries who were fan club members and they all played the Cagney & Lacey theme on kazoos at the same time??
