Buffy meets Donnie DarkoRichard Kelly (the writer/director of Donnie Darko) finally has enough money to finish Southland Tales. An early cut of the movie premiered at Cannes 2006, but negative reviews and unfinished visual effects made it disappear for a while. But Kelly himself is now saying it will be done by midsummer. Who cares? Well, fans of Sarah Michelle Gellar, for starters:

Not sure what to think of the movie clip... other than I'm digging Sarah in those glasses.
And I am really loving that picture of her on the chaise/sofa thing. I am much more a Faith girl but that pic makes me all tingly.
My longest Celebrity crush
I have crushed on her since the days of Kendall on AMC. SMG and I are the same age, so it's been THAT long! Anywho... I adore her and see everything she is in but this film I have especially been waiting for. It's nice to see it's finally being released.
Not so sure about the casting...
...they all do well, but I kinda prefer the idea of Kelly using unknown actors like he did, more-or-less, with Donnie Darko.
I liked it though...very David Lynch.
