We have the technology: A "Bionic" clip and captions

The new version of The Bionic Woman (NBC has officially picked up the show for the fall season) might be great. It also might take itself way too seriously to be any fun, if the new pictures and promo clip are any indication.

First, a couple of pictures — with captions, of course.

"I'm holding my hands the way I'm supposed to,
but I'm not getting that cool stuttery bionic sound effect!"

"Wait. Did you think 'bionic' was code for something?
It's not like 'friend of Dorothy.' Also, why are we on the Bloodrayne set?"

    Exactly! Where's Lindsay Wagner when we need her? And everyone knows that Jamie only had a bionic ear. Steve Austin got the bionic eye. Ah, but I guess Jamie Sommers in any form can only be a good thing.

    Point to ponder ... when the bionic people got to swimming really fast ... since they only had one bionic arm, wouldn't they end up going around in really fast circles? :-)

     LMAO - I love the way your mind works.... HA HA HA HA.... On a scale of 1 - 10, I give you a 12!!!  My sentiments exactly..... still LMAO!!! and will be for at least a couple more hours... HA HA HA HA!!!!!

    I watched the clips on NBC.com and if you get past the shrieking one the show looks to have some potential. In the very least we'll get one episode with Katee Sackhoff strutting around in the rain. That's worth one hour of my life...

    we'll make sure to laugh about it!  The good thing is that the special effects now days can make it one of those "cult" shows... and I'm sure everyone that saw the original, will at least check this one out once!

    I still LMAO every time I think about the one armed thing that SweetonHelen wrote and it all leads right back to you Scribe - YOU BRING IT OUT IN US!!! lol

    I don't have a problem with the show taking itself seriously, but I'm not real thrilled with the clip. Looks kinda, you know, like they didn't know what to do with her so they had her scream and hit the doc. I think if that had been me I would've puked when I saw my legs. Do they even allow vomit on tv? A woman screaming and gratuitious violence. Welcome to Amerika.

    Puking is difficult to make look real, it can take me out of a scene quite easily. The multiple shrieks I will give you, one would have made perfect sense though.

    Oh yes, overly realistic puking triggers my gag reflex. I was just saying that if my legs were all funky like that I'd probably vomit more than scream. I too hope that they don't have a bunch of shrieking scenes. It gets old fast. It's like, shut up already and bury your horror like a good protagonist so that we can relate.

    Miss Sackhoff plays the original bionic woman, Jamie Summers is a just a follow up.

    Nemesis they be, I am hoping she lasts a while.
