Earlier this week, many of you commented on the Maxim Hot 100 list — you found it generally unbelievable and incorrect. And you suggested that AfterEllen create a better list. So let's do it!

Here's how it will work: List your top 5 or 10 or 20 favorites — please, no more than 50 — in the comments. (Don't rank them; just list them.) Each celebrity whose name appears at least 5 times in the comments (or maybe 10 times, depending on how many comments there are) will appear in the final AfterEllen list.

Try to focus on beauty and "hotness" when you make your list. Don't just list "women I love." Of course, one of the great things about lesbians is that many of us find it difficult to objectify women — we don't tend to separate physical beauty from other fine qualities like talent, sense of humor, or general awesomeness. So it will be interesting to see how this turns out.

I think we could probably start with Leisha Hailey. (But no, the women on your list don't have to be gay.)
