You Can't Take Them Anywhere! RenoThis week, we kick off the travel portion of our new show with a trip to sunny Reno, Nevada (made possible by the nice people at the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority). While in Reno, we stayed at the posh Peppermill Hotel Casino, snowboarded ourselves into exhaustion at Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe and Northstar at Tahoe Resort, were taught to snow mobile like champions by our friends at Lake Tahoe Snowmobile Tours, and were pampered with facials and manicures/pedicures by Jenny O and friends at Salon 7, and luxurious massages at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Stillwater Spa.
In between all of the pampering and outdoor activities, we managed to squeeze in some As you watch our show, please remember that we're dedicated to doing the tough job of first class world travel just for you. Not everyone would be willing to fly to exotic locales, enjoy fine dining and the very best that cities around the world have to offer, but Bridget and I are totally committed to our mission to have fun on behalf of lesbians everywhere. I really think you two need to have a talk with Sarah about the working conditions she puts you through. I mean, really, taking a trip to Reno to snowboard, film vlogs, and hang out with a bunch of lesbians?

I want to go to Reno now!!! I love you Ladies.....you're too much!!! I would have to say that this vlog is definitely tied with WGN and BWB for favorite vlog!!! If that was your first time snowboarding Bridget than you rocked cause' I was on the ground more than I was doing anything resembling snowboarding my first time!! Loved the vlog...can't wait for the next one!!!

I read that you were headed to Tahoe, but we were literally in the same place at the same time! My partner and I skiied Northstar twice this past weekend, and enjoyed a delicious if overpriced (more than New York!) dinner at Lone Eagle. Wish we saw you there!

So jealous! Seriously... I didn't get to go this year, because... well... I had no money. And pretty much everyone I know went skiing, except me...:( BTW: I've never seen a piste that was that empty. All the times I went the piste was extremely crowded. Maybe France is just more popular than Reno or something... But gosh, look at the sunny weather... *sigh*

After watching you both I was left with the question... where can I sign up?
You were both (as always) 100% fantastic and dedicated to taking on all of the most difficult tasks/challenges to bring us such a great vlog!

That really was cute. Definitely one of my favorite vlogs to date. Karman sleeping was hilarious. Oh, and I agree with Egret, I've skiied before and did a miserable job of it. I always thought snowboarding might be easier but I'm not so sure anymore -- But I sort of want to try it after watching this.
[grins] Mary and Mitsy were great! Thunderbolt too. Awesome that they were willing to participate and help out with the camera work. Too bad we didn't get any live-action snow mobilling though.
Man, I need to look up these AE fringe benefits. All I do is piss people off by moderating their posts and telling them to be nice. Hah!

I've never felt the need to visit Tahoe/Reno but I may have to add it to my wish list. Thanks for the scenery pics and the laughter. I've always just done the ski thing when on the slopes, but I may have to try boarding the next trip.

not that I needed another reason to want to go to Tahoe again but seeing all the fun you two had made me want to go right now! That entire area is so gorgeous, I bet it felt great to escape LA for a few days!
I love to think I can snowboard but I'm not anywhere close to being a competent boarder so I think it would have been mimosas and bloody mary's for me as well.
Thunderbolt is great, but a My Little Pony would have been fantastic...and a lot more gay :)
Reno!
I can't get the video to work right now (Flash has been wonky on my computer as of late), but I wanted to mention that the Chocolate Bar is one of the best places in Reno. Their fondue and chocolate cocktails are to die for.
Also, I can pimp myself out for additional info on the Reno/Carson/Tahoe area, if anyone's interested. I've lived in the area for most of my relatively brief life, so I know some things.
Yeah, yeah.
It's a bad, awful, terrible, disgusting and bloody dangerous job. But someone has to do it, right?
Karman, Bridget, I am sooooo infinitely grateful you are willing to sacrifice yourselves for us in the most heroic fashion.
