Another great episode...
I always thought bum bags were evil, now I know I was right all along.

-Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
Who doesn't blog these days?
...
Bridget can save me from a fanny pack anyday. Ha!
Hmm...weird...
I can't even think straight...
Beer Bongs and taking a public poo
OMG, I love that song! Wish the waiters at Chili's would sing that instead of the lame o Happy Birthday.
Bridget, love that headband where did you get it?
Good stuff.
Another hilarious installment plus Bridget. What more do you need?
~It means pride.~
YAY more Bridget, I <3
Omg, rofl.
I was not expecting Bridget on this at all. I'm so happy she was though, I laughed more then I expected to. Haha. And I agree with whitetank, I'd totally wear it to get some hugs and kisses from Bridget, hahaa. Awesome.
Fantastic! Haha
That was hilarious. Stacie you rock!
I loved it!
Big bonus to have Bridget in it!

movie star mcmanus
bridget can make anything cool....even this
bridget, you need your own movie
Holy crap!
That actually scared me!!! The deep voice was kinda disturbing given that it's 12:40am in here and I'm all alone :(
btw, Bridget was awesome! hehehe
That was great
Another great reason not to buy a bum bag.
I think the moat terrifying part was the Ghostella's break up with her girlfriend. Lesarama scares me.
That was swell
OMG the end of the "ceremony" was spectacular!
Hahaha good early morning video watching times. That was a great laugh. But poor Bridget, she broke character and actaully started acting well at one point. Tsk Tsk.
Awesome
i'm curious. what was your inspiration for the gypsy with the bad teeth? it reminded me of the simpsons halloween special when homer bought the monkey's paw in morocco.
You win...
...for picking up on the Evil Dead homage! The gypsy just seemed like a natural fit for the gothic yard sale, but now that you mention it, she is a little reminiscent of that Simpsons ep.
Thanks!!

That was so weird it became awesome.
Mmmm boob cake
If i was the grim reaper everyone would die in freak accidents.
Ghostella rocks...
Wow, loved this- first one
Wow, loved this- first one i've seen but it really impressed me! everone else has said it as well but yeah Bridget was brilliant, me fave bit was bridget making the cake- haha genius!
quite good!
Gostella Rocks!
But I was really disappointed to see one of the usual AE babes was going to be in the second ep. Nothing against Bridget or any of the other usual AE suspects, but I am a little over saturated with them at this point and was really looking forward to the chance to discover some new talent.
Flame on, but let me reiterate, Bridget is great, so is Jill.
And Ms. Ponder, you are amazing. If you ever need a place to stay for Comic-Con, I have plenty of room. (was that weird? I think that was weird, oh well). J
gotcha
I understand what you're saying about using the AE gang, and I assure you, (for better or worse) this series isn't going to be one big AE in-joke. In all honesty, Bridget is a friend of mine- as we all know, she's incredibly talented and I'd been dying to work with her on something...and voila! She rocked so hard I may have to use her again sometime, if the experience didn't scar her too badly.
And thanks for the kind words! It's good to know that I'd have somewhere to drunkenly collapse after a day of SDCCing! :D

swoon
Stop being so cool already! Ok, so glad to know you got where I was coming from (and she did really kick ass). So about my place: minutes to Down Town, freeway close, big screen t.v., high speed internet and full cable... I’m just saying.
And please oh please, I must know how you rate one of my favorite horror films, Near Dark 1987.
Near Dark
Heh. I run a Film Club on my blog (basically, I pick a movie, whoever wants to play along watches the movie and we all write about it on the same day, linking to each other blah blah blah) and one of the most recent picks was Near Dark. Here's my review! The short of it: it's good.

Sweet
Fanny packs...
...have a totally different meaning in the UK :P I laughed hysterically and re-watched the 'explosion' scene again and again *still chuckling*
MOAR I SAY!!! MOAAARRR!!!
uhhhh
WOW!!!
Bridget can do ANYTHING!! LOL Love her :-)
www.myspace.com/xenite29
I gotta say...
Using real people was a huge improvement over the Barbies (especially when one of them is Bridget McManus, of course).
Very funny. I can tell it's only going to get better and better.
OMG! This show is hilarious.
Bridget vs EVIL FANNY PACK
bridget putting the cake batter in the oven with the same bowl that she mixed it it was too funny
does anyone else have that song stuck in your head now? lol
WOW!!!
Wow!!! That was interesting. its almost so bad that its good. Bridget was amazing. Her fall was awesome and the episode had everything a popular horror film needs. Supernatural happenings, deaths, someone running into an enclosed space rather than going outside, and an explosion!
*~SHE'S NOT A DOG SHE'S A MAGICAL UNICORN!!!~*
> question for stacie
so on your blog, you posted...
This piece of crap, direct-to-VHS slasher is from the heady days of the early '90s, when films like these were a staple of USA's Up All Nightand CGI still wasn't de rigeur in horror. You know, the glory days of junk!
is it your plan to continue that idea of low grade trash tv or are you looking to update and reinvigorate it for the expectations of the audience today?
a little from Column A...
Interesting question. The simple answer, I suppose, is "it depends". Of course, that doesn't really answer anything. :)
Sorry if this is boring, but here's my process, to an extent: I generally begin by thinking in terms of subgenre. Do I want to make a gothic vampire movie? A slasher flick? A ghost story? Once I figure that out, I decide what year the film was "made" in; sometimes subgenres have a particular time period closely associated with them, but even if they don't, the year will determine a lot of factors in the film, from pace to camera angles and just about everything in between.
Saying that "Bum Bag" is from 1992 absolutely had to do with the cheesiness- the late '80s/early '90s were a bit of a low point for horror. Theatrical releases were a bit lame and direct-to-VHS was coming into its own, and a supernatural slasher flick from 1992 is probably going to be pretty trashy.
Will they ALL be trashy? I don't know, honestly. Maybe not to the extent this one is- next week's episode, for example, is very different. It's still fun, but it's a bit more serious than "Bum Bag". It's a another type of horror film from a another era, and it's got an extremely different feel than this one. And the episode after that is different yet again, etc.
That said, keep in mind that these are the types of movies a horror host would show late at night- the stuff on Elvira's Movie Macabre, for example, was generally B-grade at best. Ghostella is about 10 rungs further down the ladder!
I have no idea if that answered your question at all, or if it was simply an elaborate way of saying "it depends"...because ultimately, that's all I've got. My plan is a little of both- I love low grade horror as much as I love high grade horror, for all sorts of reasons. I'm equal opportunitywhen it comes to scary movies!

haha... bridget is so
haha...
bridget is so funny.
she should definately do more acting, she's really good at it! she made me laugh throughout the whole thing.
That...
Kicked so much ass. Great acting all around, the song rocked, awesome creativeness, and I loved the pull out shot from the street! Can't wait for more.

3waytv.tv Go now, go often.
I LOVE
Even more hilarious than the first.
Raindrops keep fallin' on my head...
is exactly what the beginning of that song sounded like. B.J. Thomas would be proud.
Ghostella, hope you get Jen back.
And Bridget, you are lovely and amazing as always. "I'm having waaaaay too much fun..."
Was I the only one who
Was I the only one who cringed when Bridget put the cake in the oven while it was still in the mixing bowl....
This show rocks my socks. It keeps getting funnier and funnier.
I don't want to doubt you
Know everything about you
I don't want to sit
Across the table from you
Wishing I could run.....
-Cake, and what I live my life by.
INGENIUS
The cake mixture was still in the mixing bowl when she put it in the oven, it totally caught my attention.
I laughed at the cheesiness of the plot :-) that's a good thing by the way. Come on a freaking cursed fanny pack?! That was just ingenius. And they totally rejoiced at the end forgetting about their dead friends hahahaha.
WOW. That was...
WOW.
That was...
...special.
I guess I'm just not used to B movies. I mean, that what these are supposed to be, right? Parody B movies? I'm inexperienced, lol.
Another fabulous episode
"The Devil's Bum Bag" = Best. Title. Ever.
As a fan of both 'curse of the [insert object purchased from mysterious stranger]' and 'psycho ruins a special day' movies, I loved seeing these sub-genres combined so brilliantly here. And with a song too!
Plus, you made Bridget McManus a final girl! (sort of).
Thanks for doing these - I didn't realise a weekly shot of B-grade Lesbian Horror was what was missing in my life ... until now.
You rock.
Hah. :)
death by fanny pack
Poking fun at the fanny pack. lol.
But DIY horror/thrillers are fun. You just have to keep an open mind.
Amazing!
It's ironic that I watched evil dead for the first time last Saturday, and then watched this. I'd rather watch this.
Poor Ghostella! Hilarious!
Was Bridget's fall on purpose?
