Ghostella's Haunted Tomb: "Taste of Flesh, Taste of Fear"

Welcome to the first episode of Stacie Ponder's horror series Ghostella's Haunted Tomb, the runner-up in AfterEllen.com's Web Series Contest.

Broadcasting from her garage, hostess-wannabe Ghostella (Heidi Martinuzzi) presents the very best in B-Grade lesbian horror films.

The premiere episode features "Taste of Flesh, Taste of Fear", the 1968 film widely considered to be a benchmark in lesbian vampire erotica. After a horrifying accident on a dark, deserted road, Laura and Eve find themselves under the spell of the mysterious Lady Mortidella. How long can they resist her seductive gaze?

    Doll-tastic!

'Impotent phones', Robot-Cher impressions and surely one of the best car crash scenes ever! To borrow a Ponder-ism - I wanted to make out with this film.

    Awesome.

    Doll movies ftw! :D

    Doll-movies ftw! :D

And Lady Mortadella? Seriously? Like the meat kind? XD

Btw, kudos on the props and scenery. Some parts look like they were laborious to make, other are 'creative hilarity'. (car on a string :D )
Although I toppled over after the final pop-plosion.

So... looking forward to the next episode.

this was a good ep. and nice effects although i admit i jumped when Mortidella grew fangs. *shudder* barbies.... ughhh.

    Awesome sound effects

Very cool. I always knew barbies would be much more fun if they were creepy.

I especially loved all the sound effects. Bet those were fun to make.

    Amazing!

I loved this! More doll movies please!

I love that Ghostella got interupted by her roommates and at the end she was talking about her roommates rather than the movie :-D

    Nice idea.

I am not a fan of vampire flicks but that was fun and refreshing.

That was not only funny, but

That was not only funny, but somehow both surprising and predictable in that wonderful nostalgic way. Loved it!

No way that movie was made

No way that movie was made in 1968 - we never wore seatbelts back then!

More episodes please! I'm glad I wasn't in charge of the contest cause I would have totally stopped looking at anything else after this. Lesbian barbies and vampires omg. Best.Movie.Ever. And Ghostella is the best.

I am my very own shade of grey.

    The randomness ensues....

ha ha this was totally random and funny, I didn't expect it. The props were really clever too - nice work!
    Shele's picture

    Ok, I'll admit that

I thought I was going to hate this because I thought it would be scenes from an old movie.  However, I can appreciate all the work that was put into making this spoof.  And, yes, the sound effects made all the difference.  Kudos for the creativity!

p.s. I loved the photo of Rosie O'Donnell hanging on the wall, the chocolate turkey and the vampire being stabbed with a toothpick!

    The hostess with the mostest

I don't know much about 'vampire lesbian erotica,' but I hope I'll become an expert now that I have such an adorable teacher!

Loved Ghostella's facial expressions! And the music! And of course the dusting of Lady Mortidella! And... :-)

"I myself have... ...dined... ...already" - classic!

    RedWing's picture

    Very Creative

Loved the use of the dolls. The special effects were very good too. I was impressed. I like the way Lady Mortidella went *poof*. I laughed a lot. The creativity was brillant.

     Keep it up.

Barbies, Roommates and Vamps... Oh My!

Great job, Stacie! And Heidi, you cracked me up...

Really smart using the homemade garage shoot and roommates as part of the content.  Looking forward to the next one.

    That was fantastic!!

I'm not a fan of horror films but this short was super spiffy! I would have given you first place. I'm giving you an A+ for originality, special effects and for making me laugh.

    Ripper!

What a crackup!!! That was awsome, keep em coming!

    Great concept

Robot Chicken + lesbians + Elvira (and her roommate) = Awesome

Looking forward to the next one.

    Thanks.

    Heidiiiii You Are Awesome!!

I loooved this short film and you captured the campy lesbian horror genre perfectly...especially the whole Elvira schtick.  The interruption half way by the "voice" off camera in the garage doing the Cher robot impression nearly made me pee my pants.  And my favourite dialogue?  "Be careful or two young bubbly lesbians might just start living in your house and eating your food and not paying rent"!!  HEE HAW...where did she EVER get that idea from??  Can't wait to see more episodes!!  Keep em coming!

    Hee-larious

That was so random and funny, totally not what I was expecting. Super cool camera work and props. Laughed out loud when Lady Mortidella was stabbed with a...er...a twig?

    DOLLS RULE!

I recently made a commercial for my class using dolls. It was harder than I thought it would be but it was a fun creative experience.

The Lady M doll is kinda hot hahahah :-)  Well done to the people who put in work on this series.

    Ghostella's Haunted Tomb Rawks!

I so hope that Ghostella will revisit such horror/shocktackular epics such as "Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!", "The Violent Years" and the most terrifying lesbian movie ever..."Bar Girls".  ; )  Though with so many bad movies to choose from, I suspect that Ghostella will present us with only the finest classic gems.

Loved the string pulling the car, the roomate interuptus, and the death by tiny twig. The sound effects were awesome as well. Well done Stacie and Heidi!

    THANK YOU!

Thanks so much to everybody for the kind words- I'm glad people are digging this. I hope Ghostella continues to rock your socks, even though not EVERY episode will feature Barbies. I think you'll like the living, breathing actresses just as much, however. :)

And extra special thanks to Posh Spice for playing Lady Mortidella in this particular episode.

    did anyone else think

Did anyone else think that Lady Mortidella bore a striking resemblance to Michael Jackson? And come to find out it was POSH SPICE!! Who knew :)

    that was amazing!!!

i absolutely loved it!!! the tiny pics, fangs and sound effects were the best. i also loved Ghostella herself, and how she had to deal with her roommate. i was completely surprised by the dolls, and loved the cheesy pun "those two girls are a couple of...dolls!"

great job!! i'm real impressed. thanks.

p.s.- nice music too. & thanks for enduring mustard sandwiches to bring this to us.

    Great

    I don't know why... but... the scene of the kiss reminds me Mulholland Drive;

    a brunette, a blond, a car accident...

    Anyway, that was so fun!
