I got a chance to meet them both at their pre screening of U People in New York and it was fabulous! I absolutely loved it, and they were both so nice and just amazing! I'm so happy to see this vlog and see them up here on after ellen, they're just beautiful!!!!

Love the new blog, it's format, the subject matter, the eye-candy.... the list goes on.

By the way, I clutch my purse around them too, glad to know I'm not the only one.

Sarah as usual you keep making AfterEllen the place to be in these fair internets!

So much I now rarely visit myspace because of this site. You took over my other favorite HayHouse Radio (A Spirtitual, Wholistic, website created for those who are seeking a higher purpose, trying to better themselves in life from all areas,etc Ms.Suze Orman, the recently "out" Lesbian financial advisor, has her own show on there too.)

I heard about Hanifah a long while back from Marquita on myspace. I watched her music video -loved it. This vlog is so humble and extremely creative. I like how AE keeps me in the know. I am defintely will check out Hanifah and Olive's u people website.  Of course,with all of my love, most deft support Womyn of Color.

I am so thrilled to see another blog about women of color on this site. Oh, and your solution to the purse clutching thing is awesome. My ex was butch and African American and sometimes got mistaken for a man. Thus, she had her own white ladies clutching their purses. Way to turn it around. I look forward to your guys' next post.

This is a great vlog.  I love Hanifah, and she and Olive look so beautiful together.  It's great to see shuch wonderful images of WOC, and especially couples.  I can't wait for the next instalment.  This is one of the reasons why I enjoy this site.

They are just to cute.  Olive is awesome and Hanifah is just relishing in it.

I love the playfulness between the major players of this project and was charmed by the  show of sensuality/sexuality.I felt right at home in their living room because they allowed me to be so. The words Butch and femme were either said or assumed without a detailed-less-then-entertaining-too-analytical assesing for meaning. It's evident that they are comfortable and knowledgeable about the communities they are infiltrating, and still they are full of respect. I even saw myself reflected and that is rare indeed. So thank you the Hannifah and Olive crew for their gentleness and far-sighted thinking into creating this project. Or maybe it isn't far-sightedness, perhaps it is their ability to pick the ball up where too many have dropped it for far too long. 

And thank you AE for your continued effort to look beyond priviledge and perceive the other realities that are at the edges the status quo.

I like the U people concept being put into Vlog/Film form. Good idea. I had a gig here in Los Angeles and had a chance to talk with Hanifa and Red Summer for a quick minute and I could tell that they were awesome poeple.
