SHE MADE ME WATCH THIS! September 29, 2007

This week on She Made Me Watch This!, we have a guestbian in the house: Karman Kregloe from the We're Getting Nowhere vlog. It's like the Different Strokes-Facts of Life crossover episode, which I guess would make Karman our Gary Coleman.

What does this mean? More Sarah Shahi! More Resident Evil! More interruptions!

Other topics discussed? Bionic Woman's Lesbian Moment That Wasn't, the travesty that was Saffron Burrows on Boston Legal, why not even Kate Walsh could save Private Practice, what we like about the new lesbian dramedy Exes & Ohs, and who each us would be if we were a character on The Office. We answered Jan, Jim, and Ryan the (Former) Temp, respectively — match us with our characters before watching the video, and win a spot on the Dunder Mifflin Party Planning Committee!

    Oh, you three...

"ON UR COUCH DRINKING UR WINE!!!"

Okay, I don't have time to watch this whole thing because I'm already late for work, but I just gotta say I love the three of you. I KNEW Karman was going to make an appearance ;) Sweet deal, ladies.

Also, Karman?! You don't get Grey's nor Bones? Here's my WTF bunny!! ;)

I'll be back in 9 hours *giggles* with more to say...

    Angeelaa's picture

    Great vlog, of course.

I loved Life too!! Aviators, very nice!

    Amy Brenneman = good.....Private Practice = bad

CSI was awesome, and so was CSI Miami, I love Emily Procter (hottest walk on tv)

I have yet to watch Grey's, but I can't wait. I'm sure I'll enjoy it. I'm not a fan of Izzie or George but I like the others enough to really appreciate the show.

Other shows that I watched that you didn't mention were House and Without A Trace (remember Poppy Montgomery on Party of Five when she was a lesbian) anyway, both shows were good. House can get a little annoying. Oh, and I'm a sci-fi fan, so I was super excited for the 4th season of Stargate Atlantis to start tonight (even though the super hot Tori Higginson isn't on the show anymore...where's the WTF bunny when you need it)

    Loving the vlog as always.

    Awesome!

I love it when Lori just lets Sarah talk. *sighs* You just sit there and make the coolest faces. Yay Karman! You really just rock at life. I'm going to ignore the not understanding Grey's Anatomy thing because I'm cool like that.

Wow, I thought the show revolved around Addison. Not 7 completely crazy people who all are incredibly good looking. Well except that one pedestrian guy but I'll let it slide cause reminds me of one my friends. Yes, I befriend crazy people. They aren't stingy about sharing their snacks. *sighs* I dearly hope the next episode has a lot more Kate and all that pilot was is just an introduction to all of what they do. Who the hell says "Midwifery skills"?.

I have completely blocked out all the scenes not involving what's-her-face and Sarah. It's sad when you can't remember the name of lead character but you do remember the recurring one. Please get better Bionic Woman! We need more strong women leads on basic network t.v!

I was amped for months to go see Resident Evil 3 but then I read a stupid review and decide not to see it on opening day. Thanks to Lori and Karman I'm back to being excited to see it. I know it wont win an Oscar but I know it will have me severely entertained.

I too love it Tyra thinks what's she's doing is changing the world. They took the photo shoot wayyyy to seriously. A an for effort though.

Yay, We're getting Nowhere shirts with all three of The Terrible Three. I'm gonna buy one and wear it till it has holes in it. Oh and I want all those bunny's to circle my room on the walls. So that everywhere I look I'll see something funny and laugh and think of Lori and Sarah.

    Sarah Corvus/Katee Sackhoff

I'm not so fond of people coding villains as gay... especially since I learned how widespread the practice is from one of Micheal and Brent's videoblogs over at AfterElton.
However, since the one playing it gay is Katee Sackhoff, I'm willing to forgive.
I've had the hots for her ever since I first laid eyes on her in the Battlestar Galactica miniseries, and she's the main reason I watch BSG.
Unlike some beautiful actresses who get a few parts when they are young and are then get forgotten, Katee (who is definately beautiful) brings her characters to life with incredible depth and energy. She's simply good at what she's doing... and because of that she'll probably still get parts even when she's 80.

    Boston Legal...hmm

Ok this is a little bit strange because I usually share your taste in tv shows but I'm sorry, I LOVE Boston Legal! I even have the dvd sets and everything!

I can see how it could be a bit strange if you haven't seen it before but since season 1 Alan Shore has had theese ridicilusly hot young girlfriends. It's kind of his thing that women fall for him even when you don't relly understand why, so I get the Saffron Burrows thing...

And the whole courtroom seduction, again it makes sense if you have watched since the beginning... It's not like a normal legal drama and it's not so much about the actual law but moore about stunts and crazy judges that just rules whatever they want (most of the time at least)

And then there's the crossdressing, well Alan and Denny has this thing where they wear costumes like pink flamingos or that dress. And they went as the (Lennon sisters?) to a office halloween party last season soo yeah, that's where that came from...

It's kind of hard to explain but I guess it's an acquired taste. But if you want a normal legal drama, don't watch Boston Legal...cuz it is a little bit strange.

And sorry for the long post, I really hate that but I had to defend my Boston Legal =)

    brilliant!!!

I love, love, love when Sarah rants. It's so funny and awesome!

Karman was amazing as usual. I'm so with you on Carmen/Sarah gushing , that girl is so freakin' hot it's insane. INSANE.

Lori-adorable and funny, love your interaction with Karman.

    gooby's picture

    Karman needs to be bicoastal

Seriously. Karman, Lori and Sarah... that was a really good combo. These vlogs are getting super addictive and awesome! Karman needs some kind of frequent guest starring spot on this show.

Life was surprisingly good. And by Life I mean the show and not my life... which is good as well but not really something you guys would care about. But I digress. I really enjoyed it and not just because of Sarah Shahi. But I can't believe you guys totally missed the other two female characters on the show as well. Brooke Langton's Constance Griffith (mmmmmm, she looks loads better than she ever did on Melrose Place) and THE AWESOME Robin Weigert who played Calamity Jane on Deadwood!!!!! Ever since her amazing performance on Deadwood I've been a big fan.

Damian Lewis is the awesome. I've got a bit of a boy crush on him, I admit it and the end scene with him and Adam Arkin's character Ted, when he ran over Crews' car with that tractor... priceless. I'm really hoping this show will stay on air for a while.

I'm on board with you guys thinking Private Practice was a big ol MEEEEEH. I could care less about the characters and Tim Daly, bless his heart, is like the death sentence for any TV show. Seriously. It's just so... boring. And whiny. And dare I say, gimmicky like Boston Legal and Ally McBeal. Seriously, I was like expecting dancing babies to appear. I mean, WTF did they do to this character that was super awesome on GA?!!!! I mean, yeah, thanks for showing us Kate Walsh jiggling nekkid all over, that was brilliant, and super cute, but honestly, booooooooooring. The show, not the dancing ;)

The Office... I was a little afraid that the writers would screw things up with the whole Pam/Jim thing but I should have trusted the writers on this show, who are best comedy writers since Seinfeld... and right before 30 Rock. I have to disagree with you guys though, I thought the second half of the hour was just as good and I thought the marathon was high-larious! Or should I say the "Michael Scott's Dunder Mifflin Scranton Meredith Palmer Memorial Celebrity Rabies Awareness Pro-Am Fun Run Race For The Cure". BEST.NAME.EVER.

And yes, Boston Legal was horrible and I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking these people need to stop eating so many carbs and drink so much cause seriously, what was with the poofy on these characters. They looked like walking heart attacks!

    rainer's picture

    Robin Weigert

Robin Weigert was great on DEADWOOD! I have to agree, she was nothing short of brilliant.
    frosted_fraggle's picture

    I'll take a stand

and say I both watch and enjoy Boston Legal. It's odd and sometimes painfully non-pc, but still ...

I love the way Kelley's shows since the days of Picket Fences have raised hotly contended issues presenting both sides fairly and leaving you with some understanding even for the side you don't agree with. I love the rampant weirdness of some of the characters set off against the more controlled characters Candice Bergen and Rene Auberjonois portrait. My Trekkie heart does a happy little dance every time 'Odo' and 'Captain Kirk' are in one room and I love how Kelley has managed to come up with a way of making Shatner wachable again - just let him be himself. Well, that and putting William Shatner in a pink dress ...

    Woolf20's picture

    Boston Legal

I have to admit I love Boston Legal. I love it even more than South of Nowhere, The L Word and Grey's Anatomy. I'm a trekkie for years but I never really liked William Shatner and I didn't like James Spader either but since I watch BL I love them. In fact they are the reason why I'm watching the show,

It's a little bit strange that (nearly) all of this beautiful young women fall for Alan Shore (I mean he's not looking very good and he's getting fatter during the first three seasons) but that's always been part of the show. Nevertheless Alan Shore is one of the most interesting male characters on TV I've ever seen.

I did not know that Jeri

I did not know that Jeri Ryan was back on TV... thanks so much for that update.  Not sure how I missed that bit of info.

I actually have to disagree with you guys about Michelle Ryan, though... I don't think she has the look.  She's too soft looking for me, a woman who can kick that much ass should look like she can kick that much ass.  And I don't mean her body, I mean her face.  Not sure what it is, but she just looks soft.  At least, that's my opinion.  I'm hoping she grows on me.

Katee Sackoff, though?  Yeah... She's just yummy.

I'm totally looking forward to Pushing Daisies.  It may not have any lesbians, but it does have Kristin Chenoweth, and I know it's more of a gay man thing to be all about her, but I love her, and I'm totally on board for that show for that reason alone.  All the good stuff I've heard about it is just icing.

And just a question, but how 'exacting' is the detail going to be on the "We're Getting Nowhere" blog?  Cause... well, I'm all a-twitter with excitment now!  "Exacting"... wow. Will someone be naked under a raincoat?

    Metric07's picture

    Boston Legal

I've been watching Boston Legal since the first season and I think you are all right in that is a acquired taste.  I mainly started watching it for Rhona Mitra....anyways the show is in no way meant to be a believable legal drama, it doesn't take itself seriously.  The cases, judges, and characters go out of their way to be as ridiculous as possible.  Most of all I like the relationship between Denny and Alan Shore.
    Omega II's picture

    Grey's

I stopped watching Grey's shortly after the Izzie/George thing(sidenote: TR Knight comes out, then his character gets TWO women? *shakes head*). I will watch a show after a shark jump, but only if they don't ruin the characters for me.

    I *LOVE* Boston Legal! It's

I *LOVE* Boston Legal! It's up in my top fave shows of all time. The writing is so well done, it's both hilariously dry comedy and thought provoking concepts. And its different from other preachy shows which 'tackle' sensitive issues like war, discrimination, and political correctness, because it presents valid and well thought arguments for both sides... at the end of the show I know I feel like I've at least had more understanding of an opposing view to my own, if not modified my own opinion somewhat. I'm not the biggest James Spader or William Shatner fan, but I love their characters to bits. What other show has their two male leads dressed in pink flamingo costumes discussing the war in Iraq? Brilliant.

Oh and Karman, I don't get Grey's Anatomy or Bones either. Sometimes I'll put up with Grey's just for Katherine Heigl's anatomy, but thats about all I like.

     Great recap.  Although I

Great recap.  Although I can't believe you guys have never seen all the Resident evils.  They're all fantastic and fully loaded with plently of Milla Jovovich ass kicking scenes.  Personally I think the second was the best but i love them all.

Private Practice-  I love the character Addison and was actually ready to make myself watch the spin off, but after reading a review in a magazine of how they basically turned her character into "Addison Jennifer Aniston" I decided against it.  I love the ice queen she was.

Grey's Anatomy- This was by far my favorite premiere of the week (well besides Ugly Betty).  Karmen I can't believe you don't watch this show.  the same can be said for..Bones

Bionic Woman-  I've been waitng all summer for this show and finally this past week it premiered, and i got to say, I wasn't really that impressed.  I don't know if it was because it felt rushed or the cuts to different scenes were weird or maybe it was that love scene. *shudder*   The only that saved it for me was the character Sarah Corvis.  this character actually seemed believable and the acting wasn't forced.  And i still couldn't wrap my head around the fact that Jaime Sommers would get control of new abilities so fast that her one bionic eye, arm, and 2 legs would help her get the better of Sarah's virtual whole body makeover and experience.

sidenote: I always though Karmen looked a bit like Renee O Conner.

Um yeah as we know the first episode was edited and cut up quite a bit to make room for an new improved story ark and character development.

Campaign To Kick Off Boston Legal - David E. Kelley - GO TO HELL

OK, like you guys, I thought I'd check out Boston Legal's season premiere solely to see Saffron Burrows in action as a high power attorney since I don't like the show in general. I never understood why the show could still be on the air in the 1st place 'coz it's gotten CRASS after the 1st season. Oh, what a HUGE mistake I made watching it - WTF is an understatement, man!!! BLOODY.BUGGERY.BOLLOCKS. That's what it was! I nearly threw up on our precious Persian rug when Burrows kept wanting to jump Spader in EVERY scene of hers!! I was gaggin' and shriekin' "My Eyes! My Poor Eyes!!!" the whole time. At that moment, I was also thanking GOD for the Fast Forward button!!! But the last straw for me before I quickly deleted the whole recording instead of subjecting myself to more torture was when Burrows uttered "Orgasmic" in, of all places - THE COURTROOM!!!!! Isn't there any dignity, morality and plain respect anymore??!!! Nope, at that moment, I swore that I would NEVER subject myself to such a female-degrading show anymore. All I can say is - POOR SAFFRON!!! Whatever were you thinking, wanting to join this absolutely misogynistic crap of a group?!! I'm surprised that Candace Bergen is still there! Jeez!! No other show is THIS disrespectful and degrading to women, I swear to God!

I blame DAVID E. KELLEY for concocting this CRASS!!! It's like he's LOST it!!!! I kept thinking, "David, you were so good in Boston Public and Picket Fences. What changed? Is it mid-life crisis?" It seems that all he can think of is SEX, SEX, SEX and subjecting women to men's fantasy with yes, SEX!!! It's utterly unconscionable!!

So, PLEASE - you guys who're in the entertainment industry - try to get a petition to kick this show off the air OR revamp the show to a respectable legal dramedy (if not drama) that we can all watch and not feel degraded & undignified. ABC and the creators/producers of the show should know that women hold the majority % of the population here. I doubt very much that women in their right minds would wanna watch this crap - especially seeing a beautiful, smart woman like Burrows lusting after someone from the opposite end of the spectrum (in body, mind & soul) like James Spader. I mean, YUCK!!!! At least pick a better looking guy - or a guy who doesn't look like he's gonna pop like an over-inflated balloon at any second!!! JEEZ!!!! Ok, some people may say, well, this show doesn't take itself seriously - yeah, ok. I get it. But at least do it with TASTE! Don't do it at the expense of women's integrity, for Pete's sake! It's enough that women don't get enough respect as equally powerful, able, and skilled as their male counterparts without reducing us to nothing but a bunch of brainless sex objects to men - worse still, on TV!!!

Sarah is soooo right - James Spader grabbing an Emmy???! What a load of BOLLOCKS!!! I mean, seriously, him? What about the incomparable Hugh Laurie?! C'MON!! It's true, only 5 people watch this shit and as luck would have it, all 5 are members of the Academy.... *sigh*

Enough is enough! We can't take this anymore!!!

    Fantastic, funny vlog, as

Fantastic, funny vlog, as usual. I was laughing the whole time. See, I enjoyed Private Practice, but I think that may be because I have such an undying emotional bond to Grey's Anatomy. I've been watching it since the first episode aired, and because of this, I almost feel like I need to like Private Practice. I like Amy's character a lot, and Audra McDonald doesn't hurt, but Taye Diggs bothers me. And I think my main affection for it stems from Kate Walsh, because she is never gettin' old. I love that woman.

First of all my OCD went a little off with that glass table O_o Lori I noticed you tried to avoid touching the table as much as possible, which leads me to believe you're probably the one cleaning it lol

Secondly Karman gets the "Boo" bunny for dissing Grey's Anatomy and Bones, those two shows are top notch K. But since you said you loved CSI I guess I can let it slide ;)

Sticking to Bones, I agree with Sara and Lori, Emily is way better. I love Zooey but her older sister is something else entirely. The voice that woman has is feeding my voice fetish just like Lori's does.

Loved everything about the CSI premiere, it was so good from start to finish. I really enjoyed how they showed us what happened before Sara got kidnapped leading up to how she got out from under the car and her walk in the beaming 100 degree sun.

Every time I hear the name Ali Larter my brain automatically pictures her in that whipped cream bikini with the strategically well placed cherries in Varsity Blues lol

    British Invasion.

First, you guys were great and awesome as usual.

About the Bionic Woman, I think Michelle Ryan's not too bad. She definitely has growth potential. I think however she has to get comfortable with using the American accent. If you caught her on BBC America in Jekyll, she had more of commanding presence and her natural voice had more depth. Her American accent's really good on pronunciation, but it's just so high almost valley girl-like.

I hope the bionic woman stays on with Katie Sackhoff. If there are no network lesbian characters on TV, the appearance of lesbianism will have to do along with my imagination.

    allgood2's picture

    Bionic Woman

Michelle Ryan rocked in Jekyll. I'm still waiting for her to show her chops in Bionic Woman, but I don't really blame her. The pilot was such a jumbled mess, watching Life right after it, really highlighted that to many. Life was well written, and well-paced. They provided a lot of information, but the show never seemed rush at all, and Sarah Shahi was surprisingly good.

The Bionic Woman pilot was just jumbled, rushed, and distracting but Kate Sackhoff and Michelle Ryan scenes together really hit it. Their chemistry was edgy and electric, far better than Mr. Milk—I'm a doctor, professor, and I think you're special because daddy didn't select you for me.

I'm hoping that the writing improves for episodes two and three, and the pace is smoother. More Kate and Michelle together would be great, but one arm pull-ups work as well.

    CSI & Boston Legal

Fox didn't sign a new contract, and she is still leaving the show. I was hoping they would do that. It would be such a cop out to just have killed her. I think she will be around until November.

Oh, and I watched Boston Legal in the first season. I haven't seen it recently, but even then all of the women were throwing themselves at James Spader. I guess it's a running theme. I just watched with my roomate so we could obsess over Rhona Mitra. When she left the show, so did we.
    Nea's picture

    Where exactly did you

Where exactly did you hear/read Jorja Fox didn't sign a new contract?
    SpaceCloudAgent7's picture

    In TV Guide

I read about the whole JF/contract thing too & she did a recent (in fact I think it's in the current/newest issue) interview in the American magazine TV Guide where the questioner basically asks outright 'Are you leaving the show? Have you sorted out your contract?' and JF basically says she can't talk about it right now as she doesn't want to spoil any surprises etc but she will be able to spill her secrets soon (or says something along that line...you should be able to find a copy of the interview online somewhere as that's where I read it)

But basically nothing is outright confirmed or denied but it doesn't particularly look promising for her staying on much longer...

And she says that she's not at liberty to say but that she'd be happy to talk to Ausiello (yuk) in a few months -> she will be at liberty to say -> she won't have a contract. But I dunno.. Have a hard time believing anything I read about the cast and crew of CSI.

p.s. i thought the "lesbian moment that wasn't" was gonna be about the bionic woman's "weird friends" who had to babysit her sister when she went out with the professor. i think they were "weird" because they were the gay.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who was really disappointed by the Private Practice premier (just for the record, that was not intentional alliteration). When I first heard that Kate Walsh was getting her own spin-off, I thought that the show would, you know, be about her. The first episode was so bad that I don't know if it's worthwhile to watch the next one. Maybe, if this show doesn't work out, they'll put her back on Grey's where she belongs. I was happy to see Karman make an appearance on this vlog (although, apparently, the bunny system is more complicated than it looks).

    Returning series

Am I the only one who watched Law and Order SVU?..I would have thought you might say something about Cynthia Nixons' guest role , Or the Rebutchification of one Ms. Olivia Benson..
    pecola's picture

    I Watched.

I thought Cynthia Nixon did well--it's good to see her in a role so dramatically different that Miranda Hobbs. It kinda reminded me of Ed Norton's role in Primal Fear (maybe a little too much).

But yes...the more exciting thing was Mariska Hargitay...she looked great!

I watched the premiere ep of

I watched the premiere ep of SVU as well and it was great to see the newly rebutchified Oliska. Although she's still more femme than butch, but at least she's got a fab new do and she's looking all kinds of yummy.

I'm hoping they'll cut out all the shippering and personal stuff this season, or dial it down a notch, because SVU was never better when it was just about the cases and they just slipped a little of the personal stuff in there. Last season was all about Olivia and her finding out about her brother so it got a bit too much... personal.

And I'm still hoping they'll bring back Stephanie March because she just rocks my world.

Cynthia Nixon did a wonderful job on the episode and definitely deserves a mention. Although it would have been nicer to see her hit on Olivia and not Elliott :D But that's just cause I'm gay.

    No, you're not

and I was wondering the exact same thing. I heart the pre-femme Benson, and I was super excited to see that Mariska cut her hair again, looked so much better. I agree it's still more femme, but at least the hair is gone, so I'm all good :).

I also watched CSI, and my gf kept saying that Jorja looked like she was on Lesbian Survivor. And Sofia was the one who found her, that was very subtextish. Thought this would be brought up in the vlog, but well ;-).

I didn't think Private Practice sucked, I kinda liked it, though I have to admit I will watch almost anything that has Amy in it, and PP has Kate Walsh, too, so there ya go.

    Resident Evil Trilogy

You have to see Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Milla Jovovich is fantastic as Alice. I liked the first Resident Evil, the scene that got me was her fight against the turned doberman pincher, when she runs up the wall does in air spin and practically takes his head off.

Now that was pretty cool, but the Resident Evil series really doesn't hit its stride until the second movie. Alice/Milla becomes kick ass. From the motorcycle in the church scene to the smackdown between Project Alice and Project Nemesis, awesome!!

Also, each of the Resident Evil movies gives you more than one strong woman to appreciate. In the first its Michelle Rodrigez, in Apocalypse it's Sienna Guillory and Sandrine Holt. Though admittedly Sandrine was just eye candy and kind of wimpy; but Sienna was pretty bad ass, but not when standing next to Milla.

Milla rocks the female action genre. She even made UltraViolet watchable.

UltraViolet, Mila + Ali, and Heroes

I agree with most of what you just said, allgood2, but I gotta disagree on the UltraViolet thing. Sure, it was cinematically beautiful, but the plot (oh so many holes) and pacing sucked. When I walked out of the theater I was thinking "Huh, would have made a better slideshow ... "

However, can't wait to see RE3! Mila + Ali have to = hell yeah! if Ali's character is anything like her Heroes character Nikki/Jessica.

And, speaking of Heroes, is anyone else so over the (un)Wonder(ful) Twins already? Cause I'm already bored by them. Maybe when they finally get over the border it'll stop being so repetative... but I doubt it.

Oh, and to end on a bit of a random note... did I miss the Buffy reference in the vlog? Thought the writeup for this one mentioned seeing Buffy everywhere. Hmm. Guess that's just me seeing Buffy everywhere, lol.

    Katee Sackhoff "playing it gay"

That was definitely the write expression for that scene. In fact, it seems to me like Katee Sackhoff very often "plays it gay." One example is the Battlestar Galactica scene where Admiral Cain is fawning over Starbuck in an attempt to earn her allegiance. Ignoring the fact that Cain is a lesbian (or, at least, will apparently be revealed to be one in the BSG TV movie), Katee Sackhoff still manages to infuse Starbuck's reactions with sapphic sexuality. And judging by the promo pictures I've seen from the aforementioned TV movie, she seems to be at it again in her interactions with the new female character.

    But, hey, I'm not complaining.

P.S. Don't hate on Tommy Boy! That is a fantastic movie. Even though I know it's coming, I still nearly wet myself every time their hood pops up.

    Grammatical error!

I meant "right" not "write." That's what happens when you try to comment after taking the LSAT, kids.

    I Made the Vlog!

First, kudos to whoever's handling all the technology/design upgrades on the vblogs. As if all the lovely women weren't enough, the high quality video, the theme music and graphics (bunnies included) really do add to the aesthetics. And no, I'm not just saying that because you mentioned one of my posts...the video blogs really do look great.

Ah, Private Practice...what a disappointment. I'm not bothered by the fact that Addison's not the star of the show; I totally expected that going in (you don't hire established actors like Amy Brenneman, Taye Diggs and Audra McDonald and then relegate them to sidekick status). What bothers me the most is Addison's characterization, which I find disjointed. All in all, I found Kate Walsh's new Cadillac ads more stimulating.

I feel like I need to go watch the Grey's Anatomy season opener again because, with the exception of Yang's interaction with her interns, I found the entire episode uninspiring...or to be more precise, my disdain for Meredith and Derek and George and Izzie's relationships outweighs the affection I feel for any of the other storylines.

I think the best debut of the week may have been Life on NBC (hot sex on a stick--ha!) and the best return was Ugly Betty on ABC (FYI: the boys at Afterelton.com do great coverage of Ugly Betty). Next week, I'm looking forward to the debut of Pushing Daisies (though I feel like it's so good that I'm just waiting for the cancellation shoe to drop) and the returns of Desperate Housewives (Dana Delaney Sen. Barbara Grisham joins the cast this week) and Degrassi (woohoo, Palex!).

    grey's

i think i'm the only grey's anatomy fan who has wanted george and izzie to hook up from episode one, season one. it's so odd to me now though cause usually i never get what i want and now that i do- everyone and their mom hates it! i don't know why they're sticking with it, but i'm happy.
